TMac and Kobe was better. Lebron never truly rivaled him. He was more of a rival with D. Wade, watch thier matches against each other. They're so similar but Wade is 4 inches shorter.

After that, Kobe wasn't in his prime anymore and was infested with injuries and meanwhile Lebron was rapidly improving as a leader on Miami and their team vs team battles became very one sided. Once again, look at their 2005-2009 battles. THOSE were something to watch

Defenses will give LeBron an open J over Kobe, which means his 3 point percentage might be higher than Kobe's because he has more open 3's. When you play LeBron you may rather give him a 3 than a drive.

-Lebron has already surpassed Kobe in assists, rebounds, and blocks playing 7 less seasons
-Better clutch performer ( they are about the same in the regular season, but Lebrons clutch numbers in the playoffs dwarf Kobe's and even come very close to MJ's numbers)
-Better defender, has a better career average in steals and blocks
-Lebron is more verstile, he can play and guard all 5 positions. Kobe can only play the 2 and 3
-Lebron has 56 triple doubles, Kobe has 21
-Lebron is 14-6 against Kobe
-Lebron has 4 MVPs, Kobe has 1
And before anyone brings up rings, rings mean absolutely nothing when you compare two players. Why? Because it's a team accomplishment. It takes a team effort to win a ring not one individual. A better way to determine who's better is their MVP count and statistics, which are in favor of Lebron over Kobe.

The difference between Kobe now and Kobe 2+ years after is minimal but he was a little faster at this time, which helped him get shots easier and he had great legs. Kobe was the total package up until he got injuries, I think his team and his coaches after Phil were horrible. His age wasn't really in question until he lost to Durant in 2012, who he beat before. Personally I think Durant and Westbrook were better, basketball changes so fast. The team you root for in one year can change completely the next year as well as jerseys and even cities but the real basketball starts in the post season.

Oscar is an all-time great: Let's look his stats: 25.7 PPG, 9.5 APG, 7.5 RPG on 48.7% FG. LeBron: 27.2 PPG, 6.9 APG, 7.2 RPG on 49.8% FG. Similar. But then come playoff time, look at them both: Oscar: 22.2 PPG, 8.9 APG, 6.7 RPG on 46% FG. Every stat below his regular season average. LeBron: 28 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 6.8 APG on 47.8% FG. Yea, there seems to be more to the game than scoring and perhaps even more than rebounds and assists combined with scoring. The laker team surely would not have won without Bryant; that much is clear. Maybe it's Phil Jackson. But, Phil couldn't win champsionship without MJ or Kobe. You can see in this video Kobe going at his teammates and yelling at them and keeping them together. I don't see Lebron doing that as much. Maybe that's the thing Lebron had to learn from Wade and Bosh.

As a Laker fan this scared me that Cleveland was the potential team to face LA in the finals in 2010. Thank god it was the celtics. Artest was dead weight for LA against LBJ. That's why they swept us that season. The year before we swept LBJ because Ariza was the best to guard LeBron at the time. LeBron would have owned Odom and Artest with his power and speed. Plus, Big Z and Shaq matching up bigger and taller than Gasol and Bynum, would have bee mm trouble for LA. If Ariza was on LA in 2010 they would have not been swept in the season and could have beaten the Cavs in the finals had they not blew it against Boston.
