    Monta Ellis was and still is so underrated..he's always been one of my favorite scorers and unfortunately the most overlooked 2 guards in the NBA. He has so many moves.

    Monta Ellis was madly underrated when he was a Warrior. I still don't believe he gets the respect he deserves for some reason. This was definitely an "EPIC" duel though, major props for the drop.

      He's not underrated. I've been splitting season tics to W's games since
      the Antawn Jamison draft. Monta was an exciting player to watch, a
      dynamic scorer who had an Iverson-like ability to take over a game at
      times ....but a team led by him will loose more games than win. The
      degree of difficulty of his shots were crazy and as exciting as it was
      when they went down he shoots in the low forties. He doesn't make guys
      around him better. The offense would break down into iso Monta with the
      other guys just watching way too often. When bigs don't get touches on O
      they don't play as hard on D, it's always been that way. He was a
      defensive liability couldn't guard quick PGs or bigger SGs. When they
      got Steph even though Monta was coming off his best season at almost 26
      ppg they made the right choice on who to keep

  • @d.wil2x
    @d.wil2x 3 года назад +54

    Monta Ellis = criminally underrated
    Dude averaged 17.8 ppg 3.5 rpg 4.5 apg
    For a career 🔥
    Not to mention this dude came out of HS.

    Monta Ellis is and always will be an eternal Warrior!! This dude was our kobe, yeah Monta can't be compared to kobe that would be just wrong haha but what I meant to say is he was our top player, he was the "it" factor for the team. If you ever heard anyone speaking about the Warriors from 07-12 (since in 07 he was starting to show some spark, dipped in 08 thanks to that moped incident haha and then really took off in 2009) you would think of Ellis just like that. Man I wish he was part of the recent title because honestly, dude put his heart and skill to work when ever he was in this jersey. Hope to maybe see him back some day!

    Ellis will forever be a fan favorite of Dub (GSW) nation. The guy carried this team and was really the only good spot through all those bad years. Also it was only of his high value that allowed the Warriors to trade for Bogut and getting the pick for Ezeli. If the Warriors ever get a ring in this decade I think Monta should get one too lol.

    lol Curry being a regular pedestrian in relative terms to other stars back then. That role fit him well back then

    That Warriors commentator is annoying sometimes... Did he not see Kobe clearly pass it to Bynum and get it back before dribbling again? Even up to this day, he gets all defensive when someone else other than a Warrior scores. He's so biased lol.

    • @izayabeenhere
      @izayabeenhere 8 лет назад

      He is a the Warriors commentator. Obviously going to be bias. It is CSN Bay Area Network for Bay Area fans. So he will be biased

    I watched Monta Ellis in High School at Lanier vs Henry Salter at Gulfport when I was in the military. It was a battle between the two but Monta and his squad was levels above Gulfport as a whole. Henry was the only bright light for Gulfport he balled.

    There was another game, maybe not as high scoring for both, but Monta and Kobe traded like back to back to back walk up 3 pointers on each other. Was hoping this was that game, but man this was an epic duel for sure! Monta still my favorite Warrior

      ***** How has Kobe impacted the game overall and how does he impact it on the court? Overall can't find much and on the court he misses shots more than anybody ever has in NBA History so he's not that impactful.

      Lol someone's speaking outta his ass.. Doesn't matter how many shots u miss as long as u win, it's all good. All those misses mistakes made him a 5 time champion, and saying he wasn't an impact is just ridiculous...

      @akeembrown7661 10 лет назад +6

      hes not better as far as on the court performance and play but hes more mature off the court and of coarse he wins more but gsw monta was a better PLAYER

    • @isaiahthomas4444
      @isaiahthomas4444 10 лет назад

      ***** Nah bruh Dallas Monta is way better the GSW Monta. He's more consistent now.

    • @akeembrown7661
      @akeembrown7661 10 лет назад +10

      Isaiah Thomas when he was in gsw not only was he more efficient he averaged more points, assists, rebounds, steals, he even had a season averaging about 26ppg 5ast hes definitely not doing that in dallas because now he is a number 2 option instead of number 1, which im admitting is better for a team that wants to win more but as far as INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE gsw monta is ahead of Dal monta, this isn't a knock on him its just that now hes the number 2 option to a hall of famer (dirk) now nothing wrong with that

    What's so fucked up is that Monta Ellis has never been an all star and in my opinion I believe he's better than James Harden, offensively and defensively.

    • @akeembrown7661
      @akeembrown7661 10 лет назад +3

      i thought i was the only one no one agrees with me but all harden does is flop his way to 11 fts a game to get points not to mention he is a no show in the playoffs every year.

    • @mr.anderson1562
      @mr.anderson1562 10 лет назад +2

      ***** not better offensively for sure and harden flops but he makes alot of the shots when he does that and he gets free throws plus he is more exciting to watch but harden can't defend at all and monta ellis can

    • @DrePeezy415
      @DrePeezy415 7 лет назад

      In monta's prime he was better at driving to the basket then harden while harden is the bettter shooter. Both sucked at defense though
