The xbox one isn't even that bad. Sure, it's not as small as the ps4, but I like the design of it and it has better exclusives in my opinion. The console is quiet and reliable, so I don't know why everyone hates it
Lol I own a Xbox One because I'm a incredibly fan of Microsoft, but I wasn't informed of E3 in 2013 (I started to watched E3 in 2014) And I didn't know why Xbox One fail so much compared to 360. Now I know why hahah, the Lead of Xbox sucked ass in the time and was concentrating all of the Xbox One on the TV and useless thing that we don't need because it's a Video Game Console. Phil saved Xbox and surely Xbox One would be 10x worst at this time if he were not there at this time. Yup. I haven't owned a Xbox since the 360. That was a great console, besides the whole red ring of death thing which I don't think I personally ever experienced. Anyway other miscellaneous stuff about the new Xboxes aside they just don't have any cool exclusives I'm interested in.

@@ValorDucky So true. The 3rd console curse is a real thing - N64, PS1, XB1, Saturn, Atari 7800. I can't think of any major console company that had 3rd console that wasn't a fiasco on some level. I suppose the PS3 was the least disappointing of the bunch. Yeah, it started out overprices and sold slow, but it really picked up steam over time, selling a solid 87 million units, beating out the 360, and wasn't only lost out to the Wii by about 15 million units. Sony also rebounded from the 3rd console slump far better than any other console maker, winning the 8th generation with the PS4 by a wide margin.

Agreed. I recall one of the original Xbone reps said around this time "keep your 360" if I couldn't log into the internet with it every hour to keep it playable (probably so it could spy on us). I'm glad they changed the Xbone for the better after they fired that guy & patched out the stupid always online check in features but for me the damage was already done because they attempted to do this at all. I still to this don't respect the Xbone name & that's why I still refuse to call it by it's proper name because to me it will always be the council that tried to screw it's user base. No updates to better harware such Xbone S or whatever could fix that for me over the years as even an upgraded Xbone is still an Xbone. Instead of getting the Xbone I kept my Xbox 360 (the rep told me to) & got a PS4. I haven't regretted that choice. Perhaps Microsoft will do better with me when they finally kill off the Xbone (it can't die fast enough) & put out there next coucil.
I went from 360 to PS4 because of this video. I was gaming exclusively on the 360 back then, I had a lot of friends on XBOX. This reveal was so bad I switched to Playstation.

I personally don't believe it was the TV, TV, TV that ruined the launch of the Xbox One. It was the stupid decision of always online DRM. That turned most people of right away. The fact they got rid of the DRM is when Xbox One started to sell.
It's a shame that people are still bitter about this (horrible) reveal. Yes, it was bad. But now people are becoming very misinformed about the truth behind Xbox One. I know MANY people who still think Xbox One has DRM and is Kinect-required. Even when I was pro-PS4, I face palmed every time I saw this. HARD. My forehead is very red. It's a damn shame, because I play my Xbox One WAY more than my PS4, because of its better Online service, and most importantly, its fantastic games. I have yet to see a friend on my PSN friends list that actually plays an exclusive game on a consistent basis (if not at all) whereas all of the Xbox friends I have are playing Titanfall or DR3.

It's funny coming back to this and watching them claim how powerful the Xbox One was, even back in 2013 these specs were extremely weak, anyone remember how awful Battlefield 4 looked on the Xbox One and PS4? It ran at like 720p and the performance with rough.
Back then I was a huge xbox 360 fan, but I had recently gotten my hands on the ps3 later in its life and really enjoyed the exclusives. Once I heard that you had you pay an extra 100 dollars for the kinect, an accessory I didn’t even want and that there was gonna be an always online requirement, along with the fact they wanted to charge a fee for used games, I knew the ps4 was what I wanted.

I like the Xbox One more than the PS4 and have played that system way more than I have played the PS4, but Playstation had pretty much no competition during that generation. Microsoft shot themselves in the foot before that console even released and handed Sony everything they needed to effortlessly win that generation without even having any systems on the market yet at that point. History seems to be repeating itself with the Series X, only this time they have a console that is more focused on games, but ironically have even less exclusives and must have system seller game titles than the Xbox One had.

I personally don't believe it was the TV, TV, TV that ruined the launch of the Xbox One. It was the stupid decision of always online DRM. That turned most people of right away. The fact they got rid of the DRM is when Xbox One started to sell.

It's a shame that people are still bitter about this (horrible) reveal. Yes, it was bad. But now people are becoming very misinformed about the truth behind Xbox One. I know MANY people who still think Xbox One has DRM and is Kinect-required. Even when I was pro-PS4, I face palmed every time I saw this. HARD. My forehead is very red.
It's a damn shame, because I play my Xbox One WAY more than my PS4, because of its better Online service, and most importantly, its fantastic games. I have yet to see a friend on my PSN friends list that actually plays an exclusive game on a consistent basis (if not at all) whereas all of the Xbox friends I have are playing Titanfall or DR3.
Try your troll stories some where else, because I'm not buying any of that shit.

This might just be one of the biggest brand blunders of this century
Back then I was a huge xbox 360 fan, but I had recently gotten my hands on the ps3 later in its life and really enjoyed the exclusives. Once I heard that you had you pay an extra 100 dollars for the kinect, an accessory I didn’t even want and that there was gonna be an always online requirement, along with the fact they wanted to charge a fee for used games, I knew the ps4 was what I wanted.
I wasn't sure which console to choose before this, but now i can definately be sure that i want ps4

I like the Xbox One more than the PS4 and have played that system way more than I have played the PS4, but Playstation had pretty much no competition during that generation. Microsoft shot themselves in the foot before that console even released and handed Sony everything they needed to effortlessly win that generation without even having any systems on the market yet at that point. History seems to be repeating itself with the Series X, only this time they have a console that is more focused on games, but ironically have even less exclusives and must have system seller game titles than the Xbox One had.

It's crazy bc these guys aren't stupid people. They had to know there were way out of touch with the customer. Even the 2nd guy who spoke Yusuf, started his speech about gaming but then completely pivoted to talking about gestures, Skype, and espn. Like a bait and switch. The whole presentation was very loosely based in gaming at best. Those guys had to know they were bombing mid presentation.
