I've gotten to the point where I can't unhear the beginning of Jambi when Vicarious ends...
Fuck yes lol can't even describe the relateableness
How about hearing another song than parabola after parabol ends
For me that's the beginning (or shit, the entirety) of Rosetta Stoned when Lost Keys ends
By the way, if you like Pokemon AND Tool...I think you and I will get along well =)
You should give a listen to the Holy Gift if you haven't already, it's a really refreshing rearangement of Lateralus if you're used to listening to the original track order.
Tyler Durden Not only have I listened to the Holy Gift but on my iPhone I made a playlist of the tracks in that order (but obviously I couldn't blend Mantra into Lateralus or EBA into Reflection)
so...well...I know the pieces fit =D
You know Tool is a great band when so many people have a different favorite song.
I love your profile name 😂
I would have put Right in Two at least on the honourable mentions
Exactly right in two is so good
Right in two is my favorite tools song. What they sing is true, humanity is disturbed and in love with self destruction.
at least top 5 ffs
Hahahahahaha... no
Right in two is an awesome song really it is and because of the video it should be number one
Honorable mention : the whole discography
"Spiral out to our number one pick" cool little hint nice
hint?
more like a fukn spoiler hah
aceholeas this is one of the greatest comments ive ever seen XD
As if we didn't see it coming
MrYonatandor Oh come on, if u are a Tool fan at all you KNOW what number 1 is... I always list down a top 10 before I watch these vids and see how many I get right and Lateralus at #1 was the only thing I was 100% sure of.
I knew it instantly the moment he said that
"before we spiral out to our final pick..."
WELL I WONDER WHERE THIS IS GOING?
Yeah that was a total spoiler but Lateralus is my all time favorite song so I'll let it be

THIS COMMENT RIGHT MOTHERFUCKING HERE
😂
The Pot, Jambi, and Vicarious are simply perfect
Got a 10 000 days fan here yes
For sure! #1 favorite TOOL songs for me
I will never understand why 10,000 Days doesn’t consist their strongest songs hands down.
Sam The Mediocre 2k Player That’s Lateralus for me. Always preferred it to Ænima.
Rossetta stoned and Right in two are perfect both.
Their best album for me, by far
Today is the day! August 2, 2019 Tool finally hits Spotify!
Today we rejoice!
Can I get a amen
And ?
🤠🤠🤠
THANK YOU
doesn't anyone remember H.
+Multi Podcast i do...
+Multi Podcast To me it's their best song. The song has a interesting backstory and the lyrics are phenomenal.
FadingShad0ws fuck yeahh...
I don't mind.
yessssssss
Reflection is one of the most underrated Tool songs.
T A B L A
Reflection is one of their best
Thank you! Reflection is one of my all time favourite songs ever, definitely one of my top 5 ❤
Great take I love reflection to death
Before I pine away
"Number 10: 10,000 Days"
*plays wings for marie*
Seth Collazo ikr I noticed that
Seth Collazo hey Seth meet Seth ha
Yeah. So weird
Seth Collazo what others songs are supposed to be played along with it like how the narrator suggests like at 1:50
1212miko
-um Viginti Tres and Wings part one play as Wings part 2 play (like Viginti and Wings are in a playlist) but don't hold me to that exact structure
My favorite tool song is:
All of them.
If you’ve heard one tool song you’ve heard them all. They are all exactly the same 20 minutes long trash. Maybe one day someone will introduce you to real music.
Michael Styer bud, we’ve already found “good music” and what crap music do you consider good?
I don't find any name with 'All of them'
@@michaelstyer7541 fuk off
Michael Styer You have no taste in good music I bet you listen too nickleback
It's surprising to me Right In Two is so heavily overlooked as a potential best Tool song ever. Everything about that song is amazing. The message, vocals, guitar, drums, and not to mention it's classic Tool slow to slamming hard metal at the end. Always have wondered how it's never mentioned. I think it's the best constructed Tool song by far. Always thought it could've been a single written at a random time there's so much work out into it.
Yean it's one of my favourites. I mean people say "every Tool song should be on the list" but that's just not appriecating the greatest of the song, it stands above a lot of the rest. Personally I wouldn't put anything pre Enima on my list but that's just be. I'm more into their "lighter"/pro side than their more straight up angry metal songs they started with.
Intension leads into right in two like parabol and parabola and there are more songs that lead into other songs.
One of the ones I've listened to the most. I'd definitely put it in their top 5.
My favorite !!!
Definitely my favorite. I've sunk so far into that piece it has brought tears to my eyes, realizing how humanity so much wastes the glory of our days here.
No Eulogy?
I guess not all martyrs see divinity.
My favorite
@@michaelbrush741 mine too
For sure! #1 favorite TOOL song for me!
BILL HICKS BILL HICKS
At least they tried
How can you make a top ten tool songs it's impossible with so many great songs.
i was thinkig that when i saw this xP
Haha yeah, I get ya so much. XD But this a pretty decent list
Simple. All you have to do is put lateralus at the top and people will be all over it. I have to be the only one who doesn't understand why everyone likes lateralus so much. I prefer parabola
+Drake Butcher lateralus has a great meaning. it tells us to live like the fibbonoci sequence.
+Drake Butcher lateralus has a great meaning. it tells us to live like the fibbonoci sequence.
i think right in two should be on this list no doubt...
This guy knows what's up lol
It belongs on this list
matt indoe yes I love that song
matt indoe Angels on the side line again
matt indoe oh absolutely. No question!
Feel like Jambi should have made the actual list.
^^^^ the guitars
çnema track is awesome
Rosetta stoned too
I'm surprised Ticks and Leeches didn't even get a mention. It has one of the best openings to a song ever!
Yeah my first thought going into this list was whether jambi would be rated higher than parabol/parabola.
Tool is a beautiful band. Full of that afterlife feeling. Songs that sounds like birth and death.
Indeed
i cannot take you seriously with that profile pic
Yes, the musics sounds like something we wasn't supposed to experience before we die
It feels like songs that we are not supposed to hear until we die, it kinda charges up our souls
Whatever may come next, I hope they have TOOL.
My Top Ten:
10. 46 and 2
9. 10000 days
8. Parabol/Parabola
7. Jambi
6. Sober
5. Stinkfist
4. Schism
3. The Pot
2. Lateralus
1. Vicarious
+Caden Ringling The Jambi talkbox solo is incredible, and the ending guitar riff is amazing. I would probably put Ticks & Leeches and The Grudge somewhere on my list if I made one. I love all their songs, so it's hard to make a top ten.
Vicarious is also my favorite. Triad and Undertow are big personal favorites of mine
Kinda pisses me off that the grudge and jambi arent in the top 5
M.Ahmed Bhinder too many good tool songs
Facts
Amen! those are two of their best songs. Only honorable mentions? No way!
For sure! #1 favorite TOOL songs for me!
You better wear it like a crown.
Lateralus: best song of this galaxy
No.
Chris Rattlehead yes
@@NickGroves-iv7mx No
Idk, it’s fucking sick but I still feel like Third Eye or Ænima are my favorites. Or Pushit. Or Disgustipated... or Cold and Ugly, or fucking any of them. Lateralus is still a fucking masterpiece though.

for a band that made only four album so far is surprisingly difficult to make a top ten. so many people telling to put this or that song, this explain well the high quality of tool
opiate, undertow,s alival ,lateralus, and 10,000 Days
that is six
the shagster Opiate is an Ep and Salival is a box set with live versions and Covers. The only have 4 official albums but Opiate is close to being one.
There was their demo album as well. With number that I can't remember.
@@Yoshiyahu_ opiate and Salival are EPs/demos and not full studio albums
Greasy Pablo I think it was called 72826
still waiting for their new album.............
Same here buddy, same here
That new album will come out when Half-Life 3 comes out....
+Sweetroll Well at least 10,000 days didn't have a cliffhanger
Feerd.inand Genzz HA!
AGU! it's pretty much confirmed they're working on an album, but nobody knows when it will be released. Probably the mid 2020s because Maynard hates us all.
Tool isn’t a band...it’s an experience
Wanna know something? You are absolutely goddamn right

Yes absolutely

Clever mofo's.
Wait... stinkfist is commony mistaken as a reference to sexual pleasure and is about not being afraid getting your hands dirty... but isn't that the same thing?
Don't quote me on this, but I think the term "Getting your hands dirty" refers to the fact that you'll never get anything done if you're not willing to work for it. Sexual pleasure is just bonin'.
*boner
+Lucas Koch im elbow deep
+Lucas Koch it's about heroin addiction mojo don't know shit!
Scott Keagle Oh, it is? I always thought it was about how doing something too much makes it lose it's special meaning.
Sober introduced me to Tool.
EpicRaptorMan same!😄🤘
EpicRaptorMan me too! Then my sister came home from college and I saw Undertow in her CD collection. I borrowed it and never gave it back!
EpicRaptorMan Fuckin' Santa Monica & Orange introduced me to Tool, lol.
Me pot
same... my older cousin told me i needed to hear this drum riff... me being a drummer he knew id like it... and that was end of story for me... or.. just the beginning... that was 26 years ago...
No Ticks and Leeches? Those opening drums from Danny are unreal.
For real it's my number 1 favourite
And the scream at ”Beat my compassion black and BLUE”
SUUUUUUUUUUCK ME DRYYYYY!!!!!!
The drums in any TOOL songs is unreal Danny is a drum master
Third Eye is my favorite song!
Prying open my third eye!
Same
Totally underrated honestly. It's certainly among the top 10 imo
Ira Pacheco
I don’t think even Tool can surpass the brilliance of third eye. Love Adams double guitar solo track on the studio version that flows through half the song.
Same
I don't agree nor disagree with this list, cause TooL has never released a bad song. As for my favorite TooL song....which ever one I'm listen to at that particular time!
yea i agree lateralus is one of tool best, i know what you mean when u say listening for the first time
Top 10 A Perfect Circle songs?
No
yes
Maybe so! XD
They honestly don't have enough good songs to make a top 10 list for them
not sure about that
10 000 days is a masterpiece
This applies to all Tool songs
I tried generating my own list of tool songs, but after awhile I realized it's near impossible to pick the best because there are so many great choices and choices always were a problem for me.
Ashley Hills All you really need is someone strong to guide you in making your list.
Spectre723
haha thank you for getting my reference, i love you for that!
Ashley Hills That's because you won't do what you'd like to do.
they are all rubbish you mean
+Spectre723 Opiate. Love that song.
Oh MOJO ... The missed opportunity!!!! Imagine the honorable mentions was a single line of text: "every other Tool song that is not on this list".
It would have been great to troll the comment section.

when I played tool passing a a cop he honked and gave me a thumbs up
Dank Hank that's cool haha
Dank Hank Shit I've met people who were into Tool that are in their 60s to. That's pretty cool.
Dan Chandler I can get pretty much anyone I know into Tool because they all know I listen to heavy shit, but Tool is one of my favorite lighter bands (sound wise) and they can be open to listening to that since they're curious about the genre
cool story
That’s weird. #fuckthepolice. Chicago cops can fuck off. I love my city, but fuck CPD all day

- Jambi?
@@NickGroves-iv7mx Sorry, I saw and forgot that Right In Two was on the list. And what about Eulogy or Ænima?
Bilguun Munkhbaatar Ænima is a great tune but just happens to fall just short of my list
Right in two

H should have been on there, but I DON'T MIIIIIIIIIIIIIND that it isn't.
ClayMoore that’s good. But it’s considerately killing me.
ClayMoore
I see what you did there
It's alright
how come nobody talks about parabola ...thats my fav song
miguelito starz totally agree

my favorite song by tool
Ethan Northup I know all those songs... Just because I like "the pot" doesn't mean I don't know any other song
Ethan do you even know what the pot is about?
Tool changed my whole existence. My mom showed me ænima when I was 9 or 10 and I fell in love. My sister bought 10,000 days when it came out and since then, I listen to both of those albums on repeat sometimes for weeks on end because it's just what I need. 💜
Yea. No. Listen to DEATH.

Yes

Yeah
+Hedi I. Why don't you take some and find out?
My favourite is Right in two. No one ever talks about that one :(
There's no way to make a Tool Top List that is satisfying.
I kind of wish parabol would never end
Pun intended ?
Noah Slaughter I kind of wish parabola would never end
Vietnam Flashback is that a math joke?
The moment when parabol goes to parabola... I almost jizzed my pants.
Bryan Ramirez Tool and Maynard have made me jizz more time than I can count
I am the only person who like The Patient?
A groan of tedium escapes me.

4. Schism
3. Rosetta Stoned
2. Lateralus
1. Right In Two
Fairly obvious which album is my favorite lol
CORF I know enima is my fav too (sarcasm)
I agree with most of your list. I'd probably put Prison Sex in place of The Pot, though.
spot on list but I would put wings pt1and2 at 2nd.
RIGHT IN TWO - eeeee man)))))))))))))))))))))
TOOL has hands down one of the best rhythm sections in music.
StinkFist, the fisrt music video from tool???? WTH are you guys talking about? SOBER ... Prison Sex ...SMH. Amature Research.
As far as i know the videos for Sober etc. were actually made and released around '98 - '99
Actually its Hush
+infinityfranz No they were released in 1993, hence why Beavis & Butthead were able to review them LOL
SBR Sportsbook Review I think he meant the first video of ænima
SBR Sportsbook Review though you are right those songs are just more known as is though stink fist is a wonderful song they are just better
how is Rosetta Stoned not number 1? It is quite literally a masterpiece of music. I go into a 15 minute trance when I listen to it.
I like lateralus but on my list it would be 3rd.
Shit the bed
Same here too man. I mean it is a masterpiece and man Danny was on fire with the Swiss army triplet polyrythym
@@sidwangkhem6736 the entire song is just insane polyrythems pretty much😂

Lateralus is better. Don't get me wrong, RS is good, but they have better songs IMO
Tool is my favorite band and it's hard to choose a favorite track. But gun to my head, probably Rosetta Stoned
Rosetta is my favorite song by them. It's so underrated.
Def. Untreated but my fav is the poy

1. Pushit
HM: Hooker with a Penis, Vicarious, Intolerance, Cold and Ugly, and Crawl Away
I was like "Yeah I'll check this list just to make sure which album I will buy."
It just made the decission even harder.
You want my opinion? Get Lateralus. Its packed with most of their best older songs.
Lateralus is subjectively their best. After that either Aenima or 10,000 Days depending on whether you like their darker heavier stuff or softer experimental sound best.
Thanks for the help guys. I picked up 10.000 Days just because my favorite songs of them are on there. But I will soon get Lateralus.
+Niklas Eichhorn Check out their EP "Opiate" and their first album "Undertow" it's their heaviest shit.
Lateralus is their greatest whole alum experience. 10,000 Days is my second favorite, but it had to grow on me. Aenima is the easiest balance of easy to get into, and rewarding to listen to, imo
can't believe Eulogy isn't in this list.
Love that song. Maybe my favorite
dude that song is fucking crazy. all of these songs that are on the list are great dont get me wrong but they are the most popular and he just looked them up. Pushit should be there and H.

I am with you 100% with Rosetta stoned and Reflection
1 - Disposition/Reflection/Triad
2 - Parabol/a
3 - Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned
You know, i don't see Right in Two getting enough credit. That song goes fucking hard midway through. It's underrated.
ArcFlash 64 all their songs are underrated, I don't see right in two being that much underrated, and imo, it's not their greatest song, it's amazing, but the got some other greater stuff
+ArcFlash 64 ikr? plus I love the meaning behind the song.
Kinda feel "Right in Two" deserves a mention. One of their more existential songs, looking at human propensity to conflict and how we seem to have abandoned our God.
Wish finebros would to a react to this band
I really hope they do
+Michael Conklin Elders React to Tool. That would be fucking amazing!
+Michael Conklin not anymore I guess
+Al Kills All ikr i wish someone did that and have all the hit songs from every album......and have teens react!

8. Pnuema (new)
7. Jambi
6. Schism
5. Lateralus
4. 46&2
3. The Pot
2. Vicarious
1. 7empest
7empest is, in my opinion , the greatest work of Adam Jones career. His non stop play in that song, Elite Lick after Elite Luck, Elite riff after Elite riff, makes the 15 minutes feel like 5. I have never been able to listen to a marathon song so easily in my life. Maynard is brief but his voice is simply brilliant in it. No screaming, no character, just him .. playing second to Adams shredding letting him create this crown jewel. And the rhythm section doesn’t even need to be mentioned. It’s very different from Lateralus and Fear Inoculum. It’s new TOOL, and it’s their greatest song.
Pneuma and 7empest are my favorites off of Fear Inoculum
@@spamsingles5948 Invincible too imo

WatchMojo.com I've given you tons of shit about this list over the last year, but let me just say, you actually came through with it this time. It's a good list.
My own personal opinion as a fucking die-hard Tool fan for the last 14 years:
1. Lateralus (not arguable)
2. Schism
3. Parabola
4. Stinkfist
5. Sober
6. Forty Six & 2
7. Aenima
8. Vicarious
9. Prison Sex
10. Reflection
Honorable Mentions:
Eulogy
Third Eye
Hush
The Pot
Crawl Away
The Patient
Opiate
Ticks & Leeches
Triad
Yeah, I was kind of hurt I didn't see even Eulogy get a mention.
No "H" from you either?
what about hooker with a penis
NGT OI judas20k I enjoy both of these songs, particularly H., but they aren't really stand-outs among the rest of Tool's brilliance. That's the issue when a band has 30 A+ tracks... you can't honorable mention all of their good songs.
Right? It's just a personal taste of mine. The song's intro and first half is so heart-felt and slow, and it crescendos into a much heavier sound. I just really like how layered it is, and how painful the emotions the lyrics emote are. Ok, rant over.
1. Pushit (both versions)

Am I the only one not A big fan of tool? Everyone seems to love them
i'm not a huge fan either, i prefer bands like Meshuggah and Dream Theater when it comes to prog though i defo see the merit in TOOL
I don't like them either
well i love them but everyone has opinions
Why is there a thread like this on every video? Seriously, there are like 7 billion people on the planet. I'm sure someone else feels the same way you do about a particular subject.
Motherfucking Snakes On The Plane DIS IZ B8
wow im very surprised intolerance wasnt even honorably mentioned, very underrated song also surprised i didnt see H. and eulogy
dead-man No one ever talks about that song.
dead-man Same.
With Tool you need at least a top twenty list.
1. stinkfist was NOT the bands first music video
2. overlaying 3 songs from 10000 days to make a whole new song is just a fan theory, not a confirmed Easter egg. it was probably just a coincidence
3. if you listed parabol and parabola as the same song (when they are 2 completely different songs) why couldn't you list wings for Marie parts one and two as the same song?
Hey do u know which songs you're supposed to overlay? I want to try it!
Shane Hennenhoefer
Wings for Marie (pt. 1), 10,000 Days (Wings pt. 2) and Viginti Tres. It should be on RUclips, you'll find it no problem
Shane Hennenhoefer Play 10,000 days part 2, except start viginti tres at the same time. Then once viginti tres ends, keep playing wings part 2, but immediately start playing wings part 1. Just look up 10,000 days part 3 on youtube, there's a few videos here that have the correct timing
Ethan Northup Awesome, thank you both!
I think their interpretation of stinkfist was way off
I haven't seen a lot of people mention Intermission/Jimmy. By far one of my favorites. Transition from the organ to the actual music is so good
Ænima is not the same as Ænema. Ænima is the album, but the song is titled Ænema.
+Buych778 Suprised only seeing you saying this
+João Rodrigues What is that supposed to mean? Are you saying I am incorrect? If so, just read:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86nema
The first words are "Not to be confused with Ænima." which is the album title.
I know it's aenima dude, that's why I was so suprised that only you realized that mistake
+João Rodrigues I see, your comment was slightly confusing. I am surprised as well.
My life has been a lie.
I'm 16 and grew up listening to Tool with my mom and I absolutely love them. They're music consumes 75% of my life, I just wish more kids my age listened to this kind of music.
I am so partial to The Grudge and Pushit. My number 1 and 2.
Pushit and H. Here
Pushit and The Patient o/
Harold Penismen pushit and third eye for me
Holy shit someone finally mentioned H.
My top 10(without any particular order):
1.Vicarious
2.Forty Six and 2
3.The Pot
4.Right in two
5.Reflection
6.Triad
7.Jimmy
8.Opiate
9.The Grudge
10.Parabol & Parabola
and bonus
all from Fear inoculum
Lateralus?
@@PNT-Pneuma Right? Can't take any top 10 serious without Lateralus and Aenima.
the only watch mojo list I care about
*Talks about the song 10,000 Days* *Plays Wings For Marie*
this had to have been one of the hardest lists to make
+Dylan Cross except for number one lets be honest it is their best song :)
Same with the top 10 dream Theater list
+Grand Theft Anal What do you think their most well-known song is? I'd go with Schism or Sober probably.
Guitarist Tony not sure, those two, vicarious, the pot...
I always thought that Stinkfist was about unhealthy addiction and how you have to keep reaching further to attain the same level of euphoria. Also “I don’t want it, I just need it” kinda gives it away for me
10. H
9.Lateralus
8. Prison sex
7. Sober
6. Opiate
5. Jambi
4. Stinkfist
3. Eulogy
2. Aenima
1. Pushit
Seriously, Tool is one of the best bands ever to make music. Period.
Impossible to make a top 10 listing when they have so many amazing tracks.
But Lateralus at #1 pleases me.
Seriously Rosetta Stoned is an honourable mention😑😑
The Deftones video sent me here. I was like I wonder if there is a Tool video. I was not disappointed. Tool is and has been my favorite band since I was 15. I'm 30 now. My favorite is Rosetta Stoned. Obviously. Lol
How can you NOT put Third Eye on the top of the list?!
right not even an honorable mention
Right! Third Eye makes you trip out with out even taking anything.
Cuz it's shit
I don't like the intro all that much, but it is a decent song in Tool terms
Just wrote pretty much the same thing. I wouldn’t put it at number one, but top five, for sure. “Third Eye” is a classic imo
1. Third eye
2. Pushit
3. Jimmy
4. Eulogy
5. Reflection
6. Flood
7. H
8. Rosetta stoned
9. Jambi
10. Lateralus
Best band ever
I like only 1 song, Schism
Pink Floyd
@@HockeyfanCaps Overrated Rush is better.
Stuart Mendez Rush is good but not as good
@@HockeyfanCaps ok Rush not as best band ever But they was Máster In Your instruments (Except Geddy Voice) But c'mon Buddy Rush not as a Good they influences bands Like Tool, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Metallica, System Of A Down, At The Gates, Opeth And More bands.
Obviously P. Floyd was amazing And influential Too And Best Band is subjetive.
To bad they are not on Spotify
Jacob Valencia Tool have stated that they want their music to be experienced as a full album, like a novel, all at one. Not individual tracks.
Too*(L) :)
that's weird considering that they release singles...?
Cyrekt the music videos are stories in and of themselves
Maybe they will finally release their catalog digitally after the new album comes out
You forgot Eulogy
Personally I would put vicarious at no.1 it has a meaning that is so very relevant in today's world where everything and anything is available to watch. Just look at fight and car crash videos people love them "it's no fun till someone dies" sadly for some that is very true. But hey what ever order Tool appreciation is a good thing, and a lesson to popular meaningless money making music!
Exactly, I feel Vicarious is the most relevant to most people these days.
***** almost everyone hides that side of them. If someone doesn't hide it, they're labeled sociopaths and oftentimes locked up
There's no way I could make a list in numeric order of my favorite Tool songs, it's impossible. I love so many of them, when I've tried to think of my favorites I couldn't place one above another.
