- Adding a gate to your new fence is easy with Adjust a gate. If I can do it, so can you. I offer some tips i used, and install took about 1 1/2 hours. Looks good on my fence, I am very Happy!!

This is one of the best videos I have found in terms of tips for using the kit. For instance, the instructions show the loose end of the turnbuckle at the bottom of the diagonal. Clearly, as you show, you have more leverage if you pull from the top.
I watched your double gate install video as well. Both are very helpful. If your goal on the videos was to help people who are undertaking the same tasks, your nailed it. Well done and thank you.

Pro tip, use the circle side of a crescent wrench to turn the hinge bolt.

Hi, doing this real soon for a 4ft fence. Did you give up on making the gate swing out?
From many other videos for gate building I’ve seen the brace going from the latch corner down to the bottom hinge to be in compression.
You said your were setting the hinge for an OUTWARD SWING, but if I'm not mistaken you drilled for an INWARD SWING, that may be why your Latch didn't fit correctly. Is that the case? Thanks!
Yeah whats up with the lock hardware. I use the same solution with the 2x4. I wonder if its a design flaw or i just dont get it
Thank you for your video. I am currently putting my Adjust-A-Gate up and your tips will come in handy. I think your video quality is great. Now it's time for a tripod which can save you a lot of trouble. I often see them at garage sales. Keep up the good work.
great job but in the end u said the post was not lining up thats y the the gate was sticking pot a biot in the front , its not the post , the reason y its sticking out in the front its cuz the small 2x4 u drilled for the latch, but great job i love the fence boards u cut looks so amazing , oh and are u painting or staining the fence or did u ?

Thank you! Very helpful and inspiring. I decided to install my fence and gates myself but was feeling intimidated and unsure. Now I am feeling much more confident! Will be putting in a single and a double gate as soon as my gate kits arrive.
Thanks I was having an issue starting the mounting brackets and was worried about using a hammer, bit it did the trick.
Also I use a mixture of used motor oil and diesel for wood preservative. Cut ends especially. It's an old timers trick.
My gate got taken down in a storm recently and I have been looking for a way to build a more sturdy gate to replace it. I think this looks great and you did an amazing job. Thanks
You realize you put your top hinge in wrong, the top hinge is supposed to face down, with it being face up, anybody can lift the gate off the hinges. Just saying.
You are correct that the top hinge is opposite of how the instructions state it should be installed, however, since the bottom hinge is also opposite, the gate cannot simply be lifted off the hinges. I guess as long as the hinges point in opposite directions (top one down / bottom one up, or top one up / bottom one down), the gate cannot be lifted off the hinges.

Could you install this kit onto a fence panel cut down to 5ft wide?
My turnbuckle loosens by itself. Have you had this problem? I should probably try to install it the way you have it instead of the way the instructions say.
Blue LOCTITE should do the trick.
At the beginning, you mentioned you were doing an outward swing, but you finished with an inward swing. Did I misunderstand that? Thanks much.

For the outward gate. What’s different on the install. Do the lag bolts get place somewhere else?
Great instruction video. I need to build a double swing door. You should get saw horses and a tripod to free up your hands. Thx for the added extras!
