Jason made Veronica Mars what it became. He helped train many of the young cast - including actors that played Dick and Weevil. He deserved better. He is such a great actor and I will watch anything he is in.

100%. I’d have far preferred they end with the movie or the books. S4 I always feel was Rob’s subconscious desire to kill the show once and for all. There is nothing else that would have caused every fan to boycott. I’d probably watch the show with Logan and no Veronica before I watched without Logan.
His explanation makes a lot of sense. Already in S3 there was no real use for Logan, whether he was Veronica's boyfriend or not, he couldn't be attached to every mystery all the time the same goes for Veronica's friends. While i always enjoyed watching the character it always felt awkward and unnecessary when he was in scenes that had nothing to do with the mystery. Watching him trying to date Parker and whatnot was acceptable in S3 when he was in college and the show had 22 episodes. In his early 30s and in a 8-10 episode seasons there wouldn't be space for that. So it was either killing him off or breaking the two characters apart forever.
Um, TV Guide, please use common sense when releasing a video right after a release like this and put a spoiler alert either in the title or at the start of the video. Because, that was a major spoiler you just threw in at the end of this 3 minute video!

They keep trying to pitch it to us as Logan had to die to create conflict in Veronica's life and make her the underdog again and how there is nothing interesting about perfect but just no. They are right when the characters have perfect lives people can become disenchanted with the show but...veronica's life isn't and will never be perfect. She will forever be the underdog killing Logan wasn't necessary for that. It's one thing to make conflict to make a show interesting and it's another to cut out a whole chunk of what made the show interesting in the first place. This show is so deeply rooted in the Logan Veronica relationship in the long run and to show her balancing married life and fighting crime would be so much better. To see scenes of her nearly dying while Logan is pleading for her. If they have to kill someone I think it's a way better fit to kill Keith. He was already set up to be in a bad situation and his job to raise veronica and teach her was now done. It would hurt Veronica of course but it wouldn't destroy her especially if she has all this happiness with her. To me these are way more interesting and make the show way more complex than just killing him. It just feels like 3 seasons, books, and a movie of character development are all thrown out the window when you destroy her that much.

For me the reboot was good. Not brilliant but good. I hated that Veronica was so stunted that she wanted Logan to be angry in order to what him it’s like she was afraid to love him. It was sad to see I character I loved so much as a teenager regress like that cause she shyed away from his more violent tendencies when she was a lot younger and that kind of behavior made more sense. I wish RT could’ve depicted her as a badass who could have a mature relationship and still maintain her need to champion the underdog and find justice. This is the Veronica I imagined when I envisioned the reboot, I definitely didn’t root for the stunted surley adult she became. Killing Logan is going to regress her more. It’s a disservice to the fans of both their characters and to the actors
Imagine giving a character the biggest development and then killing him off? No funeral or nothing? Besides the heartbreak, it's unjustifiable. It also makes no sense. The only way this show could redeem itself is by bringing logan back. After everything Veronica and logan have individually suffered through, they deserve a somehwhat happy ending. Even if it means they aren't together, he deserves to be ALIVE. Why couldn't he have died on a mission? Or protecting Veronica? I haven't even watched s4 because of this.

They set it up to where Logan is gone for weeks for work. If Rob Thomas wanted to focus on just Veronica and have her outside of Neptune, have her do that when Logan is deployed. And bc we've already seen their 'love story', we can focus on the mystery like Rob wants. If Logan really died, Veronica will probably get new love interests, and then you'll have to focus on that, taking away from the mystery. Logan and V were finally just happy together. They fought so much in earlier seasons, esp 3. They basically made the movie to give them their happy ending and now they took it away. Sure, I'd rather them be in love and he dies, versus they break up. But my favorite part of the show was seeing LoVe happy together. Logan is so funny and his wit matches Veronica. The show needs Logan's character. Have him be in a coma, it still fits w the ending. And don't break them up again. Have them be an old married couple and focus on mysteries.

Team love forever!
Why keep a show going this long... keep its integrity, maintain its fan base’s trust this long... to reboot the series and completely turn your back on and trash everything you’d maintained FOR YEARS?!?!?! And people keep talking about a season 5- Veronica Mars wasn’t just about VM. So we’re supposed to have no Wallace, no Keith, no Logan and the loyal fan base is still supposed to care what happens to Veronica?? I don’t anymore. He should’ve just created a new series with KB, than ruin the show we’ve cared about for so long!
Yeah.. All the other characters keep it going for me. It's like it's an old sad show now.

I haven't watched it but from what I've seen they get married go back to their place to pack for the honeymoon and he dies... like literally right after the wedding.
preetastic I’ve decided if I watch the new season, I’m going to stop right after the wedding. And that’s when the show will end for me. Or it just ends with the movie
preetastic it actually really good, yes the ending wasn’t what I wanted and of course I cried my eye out. But from a storyline perspective it make such good twist. And if... no when then get a season 5 her story will be amazing? Heartbreaking, painful, but so fucking good!!
It's a great season. We finally get to see V and Logan together and happy. Just don't watch the last 8 minutes...

They keep trying to pitch it to us as Logan had to die to create conflict in Veronica's life and make her the underdog again and how there is nothing interesting about perfect but just no. They are right when the characters have perfect lives people can become disenchanted with the show but...veronica's life isn't and will never be perfect. She will forever be the underdog killing Logan wasn't necessary for that. It's one thing to make conflict to make a show interesting and it's another to cut out a whole chunk of what made the show interesting in the first place. This show is so deeply rooted in the Logan Veronica relationship in the long run and to show her balancing married life and fighting crime would be so much better. To see scenes of her nearly dying while Logan is pleading for her. If they have to kill someone I think it's a way better fit to kill Keith. He was already set up to be in a bad situation and his job to raise veronica and teach her was now done. It would hurt Veronica of course but it wouldn't destroy her especially if she has all this happiness with her. To me these are way more interesting and make the show way more complex than just killing him. It just feels like 3 seasons, books, and a movie of character development are all thrown out the window when you destroy her that much.
I can't be disappointed by GOT & VM in the same year; Logan is not dead. You hear me Rob Thomas? LoVe cannot die.
I love Logan but curious what Rob has planned for us in the future if he took LoVe away from us.

For me the reboot was good. Not brilliant but good. I hated that Veronica was so stunted that she wanted Logan to be angry in order to what him it’s like she was afraid to love him. It was sad to see I character I loved so much as a teenager regress like that cause she shyed away from his more violent tendencies when she was a lot younger and that kind of behavior made more sense. I wish RT could’ve depicted her as a badass who could have a mature relationship and still maintain her need to champion the underdog and find justice. This is the Veronica I imagined when I envisioned the reboot, I definitely didn’t root for the stunted surley adult she became. Killing Logan is going to regress her more. It’s a disservice to the fans of both their characters and to the actors

Imagine giving a character the biggest development and then killing him off? No funeral or nothing? Besides the heartbreak, it's unjustifiable. It also makes no sense. The only way this show could redeem itself is by bringing logan back. After everything Veronica and logan have individually suffered through, they deserve a somehwhat happy ending. Even if it means they aren't together, he deserves to be ALIVE. Why couldn't he have died on a mission? Or protecting Veronica? I haven't even watched s4 because of this.

3rd Guys I am not delusional but I think they wanted to do this to test and see the response from the fans, in which if it was a negative one they would sidetrack this whole shenanigan and make it to be that logan is some under cover marine dude that got caught up in some messed up shit dating back to a few season ago or some shit like that....
I wonder if they could say that the Navy had to "kill him" so he could go undercover for whatever reason, then in season 5 he comes back. ;D

They set it up to where Logan is gone for weeks for work. If Rob Thomas wanted to focus on just Veronica and have her outside of Neptune, have her do that when Logan is deployed. And bc we've already seen their 'love story', we can focus on the mystery like Rob wants. If Logan really died, Veronica will probably get new love interests, and then you'll have to focus on that, taking away from the mystery. Logan and V were finally just happy together. They fought so much in earlier seasons, esp 3. They basically made the movie to give them their happy ending and now they took it away. Sure, I'd rather them be in love and he dies, versus they break up. But my favorite part of the show was seeing LoVe happy together. Logan is so funny and his wit matches Veronica. The show needs Logan's character. Have him be in a coma, it still fits w the ending. And don't break them up again. Have them be an old married couple and focus on mysteries.
