You can just see the “oh boy just wait and see” when she asks him about playing Logan again! The season finale hurt me! I grew close to these characters.
The Veronica character would not have taken off on her own at the end of episode 8, if Logan somehow survived the blast! They can't make it work & because of that the series can't realistically continue!
They set it up to where Logan is gone for weeks for work. If Rob Thomas wanted to focus on just Veronica and have her outside of Neptune, have her do that when Logan is deployed. And bc we've already seen their 'love story', we can focus on the mystery like Rob wants. If Logan really died in S4, Veronica will probably get new love interests, and then you'll have to focus on that, taking away from the mystery. Logan and V were finally just happy together. They fought so much in earlier seasons, esp 3. They basically made the movie to give them their happy ending and now they took it away. Sure, I'd rather them be in love and he dies, versus they break up. But my favorite part of the show was seeing LoVe happy together. Logan is so funny and his wit matches Veronica. The show needs Logan's character. Have him be in a coma, it still fits w the ending. And don't break them up again, so no more teenage 'on-off again'. They're just a mature adult couple w normal issues. And focus on mysteries. I honestly don't think I want to watch without Logan.

My hubby popped his head into the living room just as the explosion happened and saw me with my hands covering my mouth and my eyes bugged out in shock & then i screamed. My favorite scene of VM is when LoHan told Veronica that their love story was epic, and she leaves and comes back the next morning telling that she thought about what he said, and the look on his eyes knowing he screwed, then bimbo Kendal comes to the door, and Veronica is in tears. I do believe that their love story was epic.

They seriously need to undue some stuff and bring more seasons because this show kicks butt!!! I am a huge fan but if Logan character is gone, I probably wont watch anymore. Yes, I think a lot of people got emotional and missed that they never said he died. Her end narration is toward the therapist, her leaving town is temporary for a job. They definitely left the door wide open for a lot of different options.

The end result of the season didn't bother me nearly as much as the stupidity of how it happened. These great detectives (and the local police) skip a few steps in the process of wrapping the case up, which would never have happened unless you're watching the keystone cops.
the main plot of the whole season didn't really work on me anyway. there's just too much stretches. the motivation of the crime is meh. and why Patton Oswalt, tho? -_- ah sorry, that's personal. I basically continued to watch it just to see how's the older Logan and Veronica dynamic gonna play out on screen. and I think it was such a loss that they didn't write more about Logan's Navy Intelligence stuff. they could've written heavier stuff and built connection between the case and government stuff and that way they could involve Logan more as a character. but they basically just made him no less than the love interest in this season 4, then decided to end it the way it ended. what a mess.

Just a head-up: this comment contains SPOILERS to season 1 and beginning of season 2 I started watching the series Veronica Mars about a week and a half ago ( I know I'm super late into this TV show and I sincerely apologize that I haven't discovered it earlier)I kind of have a thing for early 2000s shows. I mean at that time the best teen tv shows/movies got created! Funny thing: I think that this show in my opinion is gonna end up just like the O.C when they killed off Merissa ( even though they didn't want to kill Merissa, the actress didn't want to play the role anymore) and I'm telling you it's gonna be ugly! Anyway, I was so inspired and fascinated by Veronica and LOVED Logan! Even though you don't see him much at the beginning of the show he still somehow manages to be one the best characters with his witty comments ;) well, back to Veronica. I loved how smart and bad ass she was and that she wasn't whining about her situation but that she always got even with everyone wanting her harm or teasing her! Her kick ass attitude kind of inspired me because you don't have a lot of female characters to watch that are both beautiful, smart, funny AND confident/ bad ass. She always stood up to herself and never missed the opportunity to say one of her smart/funny comebacks

What episode in season one is Jason talking about when he says Logan touches veronica's shoulder? I do remember it vaguely, but would like to refresh my memory haha
I'm guessing you've figured it out by now, but it was in one of the episodes that Veronica was helping Logan look for his mother. They were talking about the credit card charges at a table in the quad and then walk down the hallway sort of together. When they are at a hallway intersection, they stop and Logan thanks V for helping out, he puts his hand on her upper arm/shoulder area when he says it. I've heard Jason Dohring explain more fully in other interviews that he had so much trouble with it that he thought he had made contact the first few times until the director said to him "you actually have to touch her arm this time!"
I love that when the reporter asked " after these 8 episodes would you just keep doing this character forever ?" Jason smiled because he knew that his character was going to end right after those 8 episodes -> his death was SO sad but I feel like Veronica can't be happy to be the Veronica Mars we know -> I mean it's like the cast said in other interviews they would have been no true point of seeing them happily married, raising their kids an all ...

Her kick ass attitude kind of inspired me because you don't have a lot of female characters to watch that are both beautiful, smart, funny AND confident/ bad ass. She always stood up to herself and never missed the opportunity to say one of her smart/funny comebacks
I'm pretending the fourth season never happened. As far as I'm concerned, the series ended with the movie. Veronica without Logan is not what I want. No, thank you.

What episode in season one is Jason talking about when he says Logan touches veronica's shoulder? I do remember it vaguely, but would like to refresh my memory haha
I'm guessing you've figured it out by now, but it was in one of the episodes that Veronica was helping Logan look for his mother. They were talking about the credit card charges at a table in the quad and then walk down the hallway sort of together. When they are at a hallway intersection, they stop and Logan thanks V for helping out, he puts his hand on her upper arm/shoulder area when he says it. I've heard Jason Dohring explain more fully in other interviews that he had so much trouble with it that he thought he had made contact the first few times until the director said to him "you actually have to touch her arm this time!"
Hate that he was done dirty by Rob Thomas. He's an amazing person.
