Did you ever get a peace pill? I helped get the die made for the press that turned them out. A Stokes which I helped acquire. I was into manufacturing.
Back in 1967 I loved this. Cream and Hendrix were all I listened to. Now, having heard the Doctor Ross (some say original, others that very similar songs were around in the 30's and 40's ) version I have to say I like the Doctor Ross version , hands down. Mick Abrahams playing this tune in Jethro Tull and Blodwyn Pig is just an imitation of Clapton's work on Fresh Cream. Just as Canned Heat nails Rollin' 'n Tumblin' from all others so does Doctor Ross back in 1961, this.
Nothing like in ‘69 going to the toad stool smoke filled room, liit only by black lights and 500 people sitting on the floor listening to Cream til 4 in the morning. Ears need readjustment for days.
Jethro Tull " This Was" their first album with Mick Abrahams on guitar KILLED Clapton's version just a year after Creams release. Clapton was NOT god by a LONG SHOT !!! Compare This was to Fresh Cream....no contest. Cream after this album was the beginning Cream's and Clapton's place in history of greatness live Jamming band of all time.
Great song. R.I.P. Jack Bruce.
off their first album and to me their best album so many great songs on this album
saw them in '67 at Winterland, San Francisco. So great. So was the acid.

Love this song and thanks for posting Stratman '78!
The "Alright, alright, alright..." break was inspired by Muddy Waters, "Evan's Shuffle"
I like the animal pics!

WOW!

Are you sure it was '69? Cream played their final concert and split in '68!
SUPER FRIGGING AWESOME.. I cant sit down while listening to this
All I can do is laugh and laugh and laugh!! DELIGHTFUL!!!!
Nicely done and much appreciated
Alright, alright, alright alright, alright, alright alright...way cool. Thanks.
great instrumental by all!
cream kills it
The regular stereo mix is annoying, this is much better.
I totally agree.
raw man, raw.
Thank you for this mono version! The original mix is annoying for the first 20 seconds because it's all isolated to the left side.
Mono is always the best
They were proving it was STEREO.
Best. Cream. Song.
For blues harmonica players: Harp key of A, second position.
wow
I just realized the harmonica & lead guitar are playing the melody to Howlin Wolf's "Do the Do" from 0:22 to 0:43 on this tune...
In chains on the Blue Bird to Lake Butler.
Koningen aan het werk.
Fairly obvious Matthew McConaghey copied "Alright, alright, alright, alright!" From Jack Bruce.
The doctor ross version is not bad at all
i heard jethro tull version
1:53 Grande Ballroom Detroit.
Guest vocalist Matthew McConaughey at 1:10
So fucking sick...
what key's the harmonica in?

2:31 cat boxing
personnaly ,i prefer the Jethro Tull version .
AGREE! Mick Abrahams is better guitar player than Clapton, but Jack Bruce was the Cream's soul, brain and leader. Greetings Tariksba.
@@jorgeramirezcamarena4904 ABSOLUTLY !!!
Come on....a man can't get any whiter than Jack Bruce. He is caucasian squared. LOL!!!!!
1:11 bad impersonnation of a black man. One of my fave Cream songs, though
What makes you say it's an impersonation? It adds needed break from the intensity of the song, it's genius.
Thank god the original mix is trash
