Great review, as always. I was watching you put the wheel on and thinking wait a minute he still has the portal screws laying on the table. LoL. Glad you didnt edit that out 😂 Awesome video definitely getting one of these kits
@@TheShopMiniRC O' good grief! What a bone head mistake. So then it's just the one blinker not working. With that & what I thought was no response of the servo, I'd wondered if wires got pinched in assembly. At least I can drive it now. 🙂 Thanks for ur help.
Back watching 12:56 PM Sunday, August 18 had to go over to the boss house help them out get his boat ready to hook up to truck heading to torch lake here in Michigan up north for the week. ive been using tamiya thread locker for years on plastic in certain applications.. 15 years later nothing has come apart. the industrial red stuff is super strong and will pull the threads out anyway so plastic degradation with that chemical is a distant issue down the road. so yeah, its ok.
Wow ya! that purple 6x6 is seriously sweet! So many questions about it, gonna go see if I can find it's first tho. It has the kind of heavy rims that I was thinking of getting for my Atktos. Did the math & all 6 plus 2 spares would make the Arktos about 1.3Kg!
Thanks for the breakdown. I hope you do more in depth on this. i.e. does it have the classic slop like the fury wagon and evo lines, and how is it getting into the diffs and motor. There's a lot going on with this rig to check out. Great to know about the transmitter. I hope flysky and companies using them will slowly all come into 1 protocol where they will use any available channel properly too. and someone making esc/rx for flysky that could also go in any of these too. potential but i guess it depends if a company wants to invest r&d into it
Talking about being able to use a LiPo in the controller, That's what the LiPo / nickle metal switch is for, to tell the controller which battery type is in the controller

@@TheShopMiniRC Ya switch the esc, but with the switch being on the remote, it makes much more sense to me that switch controls a setting on the device it's attached to. Apparently you aren't aware those are plain brass bearings inside those axles. Plain bearings are a thing so feel free to look them up. The plain brass bearings will most certainly survive better than any cartridge bearings that size. As for hauling weight you'd mainly do that on modest terrain a truck like this would see in real life. Me? I'd put one or two of my wrecked 1/25 plastic models on it. They sit in my RC garden so are perfect to rescue and haul around on this. I mean you wouldn't drive this truck loaded on a hard core trail in real life so why expect a scale model to do it?
It’s a slow crawler. People drive them through water… bushings are totally fine in this. It’s not a race car or a drifter. Maintenance for those who would drive it through mud, water, and snow would much rather have bushings.
Agreed, bearings are way overrated for applications like this. Plus, everyone is so spoiled these days. Back in the day, you had to actually assemble the thing, and nothing came with bearings.
I dont understand who would buy that, a three year old ? I love my crawlers for capability, love crawling the rocks, i might have one scale'ish car of sth. i find cool in real life - but this ??? Who wants a haul truck ?

I really like those setup very capable rig especially for 200 dollars I min have to pick one up great video 🤘✌️
Thanks 👍. It can be even more capable with some brass.
That's great for the 24s , kinda small for the 18s
The cab looks plastikie af , with a good paint job that thing will be sweet
