I’m so excited for the Keller’s episode. My mom went there throughout high school and her younger years and she took me and my sister there for the first time when we were real young. I’ve driven hours out of my way since to take friends and girlfriends there. Such a great burger and such a quintessential Dallas experience
As a native Texan it’s amazing how many little burger joints like this are scattered all across the state in every small community. And they are all pretty damn good.
Every summer and winter i would go to Jacksboro as a kid. My grandfather always took us to Herd Burger when we were out on the lease getting ready for deer season or hunting. I miss those times.
as a dallas native I agree keller's is a good burger, but have you tried the burger at the rosewood hotel. Mansion restaurant? Kellers was my favorite before i tried this burger.

So let the man grow and fulfill his destiny! he and the burger are one. no one can separate them. Rumors from his will are that when he dies, he should be cremated. Really stoked to see them get some of the recognition they deserve, they really are fantastic burgers. My order forever is a double double all the way, hot (with Jalepenos).
For those not familiar with DFW, Jaxboro is in the frickin' STICKS like you wouldn't believe. Literally they don't have the internet there so the fact that Herd's burgers stays open tells you how great their food is.
As a Fort Worth guy I was bummed to see all the Fort Worth B roll in the beginning and than no Fort Worth burgers! Kincaids is definitely a primary source burger. Adair's is my favorite in Dallas.
Id love to see George & Alvin come to Oklahoma & try some authentic Oklahoma Onion burgers. With Sid's classics in El Reno to one of my favorites from Nic's Grill in Okc.

I remember going to Denton high school 00-04 and my history teaching raving about Herd's. I took a road trip my senior year when I was finally able to drive and I showed up for class late with a Herd's burger. It was roughly 2 hours round trip drive to class and that created a lasting impression on me. Unfortunately it is one of those once in a while things since you really have to go out of your way to discover it. However it was worth it and here we are today where I am commenting on a video that I stumbled upon.
Crazy. I live in Fort Worth and I love Herd's. I also walked by Hamburger America in NYC when I was there earlier this year and now I wish I would've tried it. I have to say I could smell your burgers from a block away and they smelled great. Thank you for sharing.

Admittedly, I haven't tried very many places. I love Liberty Burger, so when I want a good burger, that's where I go! But I have yet to have a bad burger from any of the designated burger joints around town.
And we just had it happen, with smashburgers. George did Smashburgers the original, classic style, from the 1900's, and Kenji did his own innovative style, with homemade "beef cheese". Both were such fun to watch.
I'm a hiker, nature lover, outdoorsy person, for years I thought my first ever big roadtrip will be to see all the beautiful natural places the united states have to offer, but since I starting watching george motz and the burger show in general, I think my new plan for a road trip will be to go to all of the burger joints he recommended, because there's only one thing and one thing only that I love more than a hike, and that's a good hamburger

Keller's is unparralled, period. Knife is bit let down as a high-end steakhouse for the whole experience, but the dry-aged is great, burger is an icon too.

Keller's on a beautiful Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night is the best. The BEST burgers, good beer, and the BEST cars. You can go to car shows and still not see the variety or quality of custom or classic cars that roll in to Keller's. We moved to Dallas in '79 when I was 10... I fell in love with this place. That's right... 40 years. They have a life long staff of servers that love their customers. #5 is their burger to get, but they are all great. Truly a "Cheesburger in Paradise". Tots, fries, or onion rings you can't go wrong.

SA Local here, I don't agree. I've been to 3 of their SA locations and imo it's overrated. My favorite go to burger place is Texas Hamburger Company in SA. Honorable mention goes to Zinc's Bar & Bistro in downtown SA, one of my top burgers.

Growing up just 15 minutes from that Kellers drive in my grandfather would go there regularly when going to the street races in the area. I went there with him more than a few times and that is a great memory, though I make far better burgers myself than I can buy at Kellers. I do think I am going to ride out to Herd's though, that seems like a worthwhile endeavor. Thank you for sharing these.

I am fortunate to be about 40 minutes from Herd's and eat there twice a month. Their burgers are truly beyond belief.

Growing up just 15 minutes from that Kellers drive in my grandfather would go there regularly when going to the street races in the area. I went there with him more than a few times and that is a great memory, though I make far better burgers myself than I can buy at Kellers. I do think I am going to ride out to Herd's though, that seems like a worthwhile endeavor. Thank you for sharing these.
