  • Inspired by Jessica Rapp two silver oranges and Care Hart, both on You Tube, I spent the afternoon making clusters! Easy, simple layered embellishments for a variety of projects. Thanks for watching everyone! And please check out the channels of the ladies above to see their clusters!

I was so sad to hear that you were going to be laid up after surgery, then I looked at the date of the video: 3 years ago! So it seems like you did really well, because you’ve made a ton of videos since then! So glad! These little clusters are so nice & you certainly have lots of choices to dig through to get the perfect combos! It was nice of you to put them up to the camera, so we could get a closeup view! Thank you!

Hi Miss Gayle! Not to worry about your shoulder surgery. I've had two complete, shoulder replacements w/torn bicep repairs since last June (2017). I think youll be amazed how quickly you'll heal and be back at crafting! You always make me smile and giggle while watching tutorials. I think maybe you might be a tad too organized for the clusters (tee hee). I love it! I will continue to watch all of your old and new videos. I always, always, learn something new. Don't stress about your surgery, let God take care of you and your healing. God bless Gayle. Jill

What a wonderful idea, Mahalo for sharing your process and the resource. Now you really got those wheels turing in my brains. Those are so charming and fun to create. You have a great eye for color and bringing wonderful elements together. I’m sending you sweet thoughts and prayers for your surgery. My stepdad has both his rotator cuffs torn and cannot do the surgery. He is trying to take it easy with the long arm quilting to help with his recovery. Knowing you, I’m sure you will find a way to create something that will not put too much strain on your shoulder and still be able to let creativity aid in your recovery. Hey you guys could always take a vacation to Maui. LOL 😆 Best wishes my sweet friend and keep those videos coming. Love hearing your voice with my morning routine. Hugs 🤗

  • @lauravasquez169

Clusters are addicting. You already have 10 clusters ready to go to be part of the Jessica 's cluster swap. All you need to do is add buttons, flowers or going to finish them. Like the butterfly could have going on the body and would cover over the staple. Her face book group has more information. I sent her 30 clusters and 20 for her and I have around 70 more. Like I said they are addicting. That doesn't include the cluster style paperclips that I make. Thank you for your video.

These are so awesome I love every one of them !!!
I totally understand your delima. A year ago last January I had a trigger finger on my right hand opperated on. I wasn't able to do much of anything with it for many weeks and I'm totally right handed. Then I got cellulitis in my right elbow. Then got some kind of bug that also laid me low for several months. What a year that was !!!!
I'm back to nirmal finnaly and doing crafts again.
It was during my down time that I started watching utube crafters. All of you were doing so many pretty things and I wanted to participate which is where I am now. Thank you for the insperation !!!
I really like the Tim Holtz tiny attacher. I've used regular sized staples and then just cover them up with bling, ribbons and bling. They turned out pretty.

I enjoy making clusters also. For me, it lets me de stress! I cut the flaps off of cardboard boxes and take off the top layer on one side so u can see the corrugated part. Then I just cut them into different sizes and use them as a base. When they r inked they look pretty neat with Tim Holtz paper dolls. I enjoy watching your videos. I have learned a lot from u. I was in my early 30s before I could actually say I liked my name. Why then? It’s because my name was unusual. So thanks to my mom and my Aunt Dot, I have my name. I am partial to your name as well.

I love your clusters, so pretty. I am so going to try this, thank you so much for sharing your craft with me sessions i really enjoy crafting along with you. Watching your videos have gotten me back into the mood to craft so i've been working on my projects while listening to you and glancing up at your videos to see what your making and how your goodies progress. Your work is always beautiful. Okay I have to laugh though, did Gayle's perfectionist side come out??? Is that a new vintage photo ink pad i see, hahaha? I so would have done the same thing, lol.

Btw, I feel for regarding your shoulder surgery. I have had two full hip replacements and a stimulator implant and each one required three months of full restrictions and no bending forward at all, it was awful, I so wanted to do do, do and I couldn't do anything each time was the longest three months of my life. I so hope you find something you can litter with while your healing it will make it go by much quicker and easier for your mind. Fingers crossed clusters will be your perfect healing craft.

Thank you, Brenda!! Yes, I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm happy to hopefully be on the road to recovery. Too much pain for too long. We'll see how the perfectionist thing works out when I'm doing everything with my left hand!!! 😂❤️

I'm left handed but I do most things right handed. Pain is not fun at all so you are so right in getting it done sooner than later and when you dive full force back into crafting without pain will be so awesome for you but we are going to miss your videos so heal fast okay, just kidding but we will miss you while your on your down time. Take it easy and heal and your just going to have to have hubby take you are craft shopping trips until then, lol.

I think you did a great job and overthinking is necessary sometimes right!? Lol
Hope your surgery goes well. I think if you can manage the one staple idea, you will have thousands done in no time!

I love the concept of making these clusters, but I feel like I am so unsure of my combinations I would have to fiddle with them. Wish I had more snap judgement because I have tons of project life cards to use up.

I hear ya, Cindy! I'm going to practice being "looser" with this. I have to fight the urge to arrange! But then again, maybe it's okay to arrange and just work on them until we are happy! TFW! ❤️

I am sorry you must go through a surgery on your shoulder, but I am happy that you will get it done and be out of pain. I am sure there will be something you can do for crafting while recovering. You still have your toes right? Love what you have done with the scraps. Keeping you in prayer.

I hope Your Surgery goes well. Try not to stress about taking a break from what You love doing. You can use the time to watch other crafters on RUclips & accumulate new ideas. No doubt You can use the time to shop online too! lol I know it's frustrating though. Thinking of You. Big Hugs xoxo

Six weeks with out the use of one arm, well Lost my left arm in2009. I have learned to do things other ways. Like holding down paper to cut with a brick covered with felt. Tying a ribbon with your lips.. cutting is always a little crooked. And using distress tool is murder LOL. But you'll get by and you always have the fact that it'll be over in 6 weeks. But making journals keeps me sane and stops me from feeling sorry for myself. Oh well let me stop here cuz I can't go on and on. But I'll be wishing you a speedy recovery.

    • @gayleagostinelli_ct
      @gayleagostinelli_ct  6 лет назад +1

Oh thank you, Barabra, for reminding me that it always could be worse. I'm so sorry about the loss of your arm, but I am truly inspired by your outlook. I can guarantee you, I'll be thinking of you many times over the next little while. My biggest problem may be my protective husband that may not let me near my craft room...or so he threatens!....until the doc says it's okay. Lol! God bless you, my dear friend. And thanks for your gentle, kind reminder! No more feeling sorry for myself...just will get on with it and figure it out! Sending hugs, love and gratitude. ❤️

I loved this video. I am an over thinker and sometimes freeze myself in frustration. Like - "I should not cover this up or that up" and I fight with myself. Ug Now I will worry worry where I put the staple too. But I will do it!! (I will try!) lol Where did you get those bags?? Love them!

Ok, I'm gonna find you stuff to do while your recovering from surgery. My first great idea is come to Colorado and stay with me and we will "organize" my crafty space. Lol. We won't get into any trouble at all! (I just sent you a friend request on Facebook. At least I hope it's you.)

P.S. I think u would like the addition of the fun fur yarn or trim of some kind on some of them. I felt like mine were kinda lacking something and was super happy with how much a little yarn in the background added.
