The Most Coordinated 160 Player Raid - "For The Alliance!" Achievement

- Опубликовано: 16 окт 2024
- "For The Alliance!" achievement on WOTLK fresh server Skyfury. We are freshly leveled 70 characters vs wrath level faction leaders. Sardinaz lead 4 raid groups (~160 players) to victory against the horde. I honestly can't say that I have ever seen a group that large all on the same page and working together so well. Respect to Sardinaz, I know he has lead a few of these groups for the achievement. I just hope the horde don't all transfer to Angerforge. This isn’t necessarily a guide, but Sardinaz has the strats.
Joyous Journeys - Summer XP Buff Event = 50% bonus exp while you level. Lasts the rest of pre-patch until the official launch sept 26. Perfect time to return to wow and level on the "fresh start" servers with everyone else in preparation for wow's greatest expansion. New servers, new economy, new characters, no transfers for 3 months, no boosts, nothing.
We snuck my warlock into old orgimaar with a couple stealthed rogues. Summoned the entire raid next to the throne room and killed thrall before they realized we were there.
oh wow, what a badass genius move
No vod?
So you used an exploit? nice.
@@Schokelmei how is an unstealthed warlock with an armed guard of rogues using a mechanic of the game an exploit?
For the alliance!!!!!!
So fun to watch, this is what WOW was all about! GRATZ
“I got mail from King Varian, dude!” Legendary
AND accessed in Ogrimmar.
Did this with, like, 15 people once because we did it on a Tuesday night. The cities were so empty that we managed to hit, like, 3 of them before anyone knew what was going on. We had a mage whose sole purpose was to stand away from the fight and be our "getaway car". Once we got the achievement, we went to Dalaran, rode our new bears through the street like a parade, then posted up in front of the Horde enclave and started dancing, LOL
Things that didn't happen. For 500 alex
No way you did that, you wouldnt have enough dps to kill before the enrage
But not even 0.1% of player base known what u did, nobody in horde cared
lol same
Why did you need a getaway car? No achievement when you die?
On march 16, 2006 the Moonglade event happened on TVC server. It ended up crashing the server as people from both factions faced off in a huge pvp gathering. Don’t know if anyone still remembers or were there but it was epic!
i remember getting my bear in the pre patch e had 120 player and it is still one of my best memory in wow
For the alliance ! crazy how coordinated it is .. I'm jealous and wouldn't of believed it if I didn't just watch it .
Congrats! It is not easy pulling this off. It requires a good amount of coordination, leadership and individual dedication to be a success.
When we did this back in the days on EU-Frostwolf most casters needed to defend the entrances while melee and healers were focusing on the boss. Each encounter took over 2 hours as far as I remember. It was craaazyyy but worth the world-first and especially the epic teamwork between all the gamers involved. Kudos to the brave heroes of the Alliance who didn't make it easy for us.
What a great trip down memory lane, and the leadership was next level! OUTSTANDING!
peak wow. good work boys
This took place on a Friday at 9 server time on Skyfury Alliance. I think the Horde are going to transfer to Angerforge 😂 lvl 70s vs 80 bosses
No one cares when you kill something that rewards nothing and the side who loses him doesnt lose anything. You could literally do this 10 times a day and no one would care ever.
@@EternallyGodI care
@@EternallyGod you get an achievement, which gives you a mount, wdym ppl dont care
@@i_daniel0141 He said the opposite faction should do everything to stop them, little slow are ya...failed out of school and working at a vape shop?

Whoever that filthy alliance tree druid was - General something or other - that used to raid Orgrimmar on Gorgonnash back in the day. Horde salutes you for bringing PvP to ERRBODY whether they like it or not!!!
I was with "The Original Bad Asses" a pvp guild on Calestretraz. we ran amok on Origimarr for about 3 hours. The horde couldn't beat us. Locks kept up the dots, Rogues did their thing, Warriors smashed, Hunters let lose pets, Shadow's feared, and we had 8 Heals plus Pally's. They just gave up. Tons and tons of fun.
That was a bloody fantastic guild. In AV once, instead of going right from the alliance cave, we went left and hit the Horde head on. The confusion in the Horde was f'uckin hilarious. We slaughtered them all. Arr...the good old days
For the Alliance!
I played WOW when it first came out for years. This took me back, watching the healers working like mad to keep everyone healed. Healing during a raid was so much fun and frustration. lol
I like to imagine there is a universe where WoW devs went primarily in the direction of developing an actual PvP centric Word of Warcraft. This video is a cool example and all, but just think of it, having movements of mass, coordinated assaults all across Azeroth between the factions, all day every day. Classic-era world PVP during that first rerelease was pretty dang close, and again during the reopening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj - but it didn't last unfortunately since the incentive was to eventually go inside instanced battlegrounds and graveyard camp for ranks or raid vs NPCs. Anway, I'll always be chasing the kind of dragon that isn't programmed to be happily waiting inside an instance for a raid group to slay!
Ah the good ol days when wow was soooo damn fun!!!! Excellent video!!! Thanks for taking me back
We got 5 full alliance raid groups in Vanilla to attack Ogrimmar during Vanilla WoW. The real Vanilla, not the remake of it. Only a few of us had mounts at the time.
The Horde heard and was waiting for us. We got there...and server crashed. I logged back in to see a few of us around, and a few orders chasing us. It was chaos, failed miserably, but was still very fun.
Shout out to the OG Bloodhoof Alliance.
This is what world of Warcraft is about having fun with a community not what it is now. You make me so jealous that you got to do something like that when it's stupidly rare for me to even get in a group lol
Back in the day my computer would be fried and re-fried just by watching it on RUclips.
We did this the week it came out. A single raid (we were all very geared). Hunters and tanks went in on the boss, the rest of us held off the Horde. We got all 4, with the fight in UC being last and being an absolute bloodbath. Nicely done
I remember doing this achievement, sooo many years ago. I just recently got back into WoW and forgot where I got the Black War Bear from, thanks for reminding me. LOK'TAR OGAR, FOR THE HORDE!!!!
At the time of vanilla wow I remember capital raids of more than 300 players, it was still something else 😂
For the horde !
teh game should include events like this into the lore
As a Hordie, I loved watching my home bases get demolished 😅😅😅 also this gave me hella nostalgia for classic - back when classic/vanilla wow wasn’t called classic/vanilla - it was just the retail wow
Just started playing WoW a few weeks ago, and that comment about being a level 10 PvP and seeing that shit coming at you. I felt that 😂😂😂😂
Yesss!!! This is what MMO's is all about! I am shocked the server didnt break down when you were in Orgrimmar.
best thing of all of this its sardinaz and guild realm did this like 8-10 times that week xD
Haha ya, i think this one was the second? I’m not sure but he mentioned they were trying to do it all week before wrath launch.
Only reason people don't care about silver Moon these days is because you can't fly there. You'd think blizzard would change that...
They would have to completely remake them because it overlaps with the normal east kingdom map so they would have to make a completely new version of 3 areas.
@@jonkess2768 then why not do that
words ill always luv hearing "For the Alliance" :)
alliance is for femboys
I remember when this was like a daily thing back when it was relevant, I would tag along just because I was bored on Stormwind raids.
I remember defending Darnassus with a frost DK. Back in wotlk, they had this freezing aoe which made whole raids immobile for a few seconds. Gave Tyrande a few extra seconds to kill their tanks. Fun times.
2005 on Deathwing (PvP server), Alliance raids Horde with the goal of killing Thrall. The level 59+s are in Raid 1, destined for Orgrimmar. Raid 2 is a mob led by the first L60 mage on Deathwing (I was the 2nd) heading toward Undercity and I was in that Raid 2 as I was 58. At this time, Thunder Bluff is not very populated. Also, these are real players, not farmers with L60 hunters and with no secondary craft/gather skills spamming Ironforge with blue and purple BoEs.
Raid 2 has way more players because this is so early in Vanilla, there are less than a dozen L60s Alliance. We start the plan by setting out an hour earlier than Raid 1. Our goal is simple, keep zerging and causing as much havoc as possible in the Undercity, causing a kajillion "Undercity is under attack!" messages to spam all of the PvPers and cause them to head to Undercity for an hour. We have over 200 players in Raid 2 and more keep joining as they sign in. More and more Alliance show up. Few Alliance leave. More and more Horde show up as they finally can log in. Then, we achieve our goal...to crash the Eastern Kingdoms server. Now we've tied up a ton of Alliance and most of the willing PvPers.
We don't have all of these tools for communication so we just do a hierarchy or yelling since there is a language barrier between Horde and Alliance.
Raid 2 has bought about a three hour window or so for Raid 1. Eventually the Raid 1 heads to Orgrimmar and receives minor resistance. But, after a couple hours, they fail on Thrall because Raid 1 is full of 59s and a few 60s in greens and a few blues while Thrall is a skull level (we didn't know his level) and raiding culture is very primitive. Most people are just trying to finish their first sets of class-based gear. Paladins are half Skittle, half McDonalds. After some leave, the remaining decide to try their hand at a UBRS raid. Pre-Onyxia/pre-MC of course...the days of 10-man Strat. The days of Thottbot. Pre-the days of ninja-ing the Hide of the Beast.
Back in those days, there were no veteran WoW players, everyone was playing in their first year. Any MMO philosophy usually came from was either absent or from Ultima Online...most EQ players either weren't coming back or were still playing EQ.
Great story, thanks for sharing!
@@Ross_2312 Thanks!
Horde will never forget this
We did the same back when achievements were first introduced in TBC during the wrath pre-patch. 4 full raid groups of level 70's.
This is literally what we did in the video.
@@Ross_2312 man y'all's graphics were too good to have done it at the Original release. Most of us stayed at 0 fps. You had to angle your camera away and just keep spamming your rotation and hope you were still doing work. We didn't know you could rotate people through raid groups to all get the tag so we did it 4 nights in a row.
Forward heroes! For Lordaeron!
These allies are doing well on a game that favors the Horde faction.
I wish people would do this in retail now in 2024
Started playing classic again about a year ago and have done 3/4 raids on org since than it’s rare but FUN as hell when it does happen
Aaaah the nostalgia :D Back in WoTLK when they introduced achievements, it was a REAL struggle to get that one in the bag :) Do you guys remember Wintergrasp? Ooh and Alterac Valley 🤩
Tauren's been always my favorite race. Even though this is a great raid and teamwork, it always hurts my heart seeing poor Cairne getting smashed
I loved this raid. Glad I did it during peak wow
Just hit it tonight with like 23 people haha definitely want to organize this one day on classic
On retail? This was right after the prepatch for wotlk. Bunch of fresh 70s vs lvl 80 leaders made it a lot more difficult than it should have been 😂
watching sylvanas die after teldrassil will never get old
GOOD SHIT ALLIANCE LETS GOOO
Noobtube, Dwarf Paladin on Aerie Peak used to organize runs like this. It was beautiful. We'd always finish in Org and hold the city for hours until we got bored.
This is the wow I miss. I loved doing For the Horde back then. For the horrrrrrde!!!!
Honestly it’s not the raid that’s impressed me it’s the fact you could even move.. my computer would explode.
This was amazing, thanks for sharing
A normal day in Guild Wars 2
I was waiting for this comment haha😂. I miss that game. I didn’t play a ton, but the world vs world was my favorite!
insane coordination! loved !
for the ALIANCE!!!
Man, the excitement in their voices when they kill thrall brings me back to the good days playing with my friends. For The Alliance 🥲
I'll have you know I LOVE SILVERMOON! its my fav city xD I would have hopped on my Blood elf and defended it all by my lonesome :P
We do this in grobbulus in a weekly basis. From classic wrath to catalog. We killed lvl 85 garrosh/npcs in prepatch with 250 alliance against 200 hordes defending
That sounds epic! Grobb is a great server
This is head-canon for me as far as Warcraft 4 goes.
Glad we did this pre cata, was uber easy. We occupied Stormwind for an hour, and ironforge and just killed everything.
Every time I see a raid video I'm expecting a Leroy Jenkins 😂
I bet Jimbo feels like a legend
never played wow but, watched the whole thing anyway.
For the Horde!
Welcome to a normal night of RvR in Dark Age of Camelot back in the day.
Im not familiar with that, what is RvR?
@@Ross_2312 Realm vs Realm. It took place in the Frontiers zone of the game. Each Realm had their own portion of it. The three realms were Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard. There were numerous keeps you could take and hold for access to a special dungeon called Darkness Falls. Each Realm had a relic which you could take and if you held all three you got bonuses, etc. But there would be these battles with hundreds of players from each realm pretty much every evening. They were surprisingly coordinated attacks. Think of it as massive scale world pvp, but with three factions instead of two (Horde and Alliance).
I always wondered how many Alliance it would take to hit the capitals.
🤣 could have probably done it with 80, but considering they were 80+ and we were lvl 70, it was much more difficult
Horde needs 2 more years to even mature to run something like this
"FOR THE HORDE"!!!!!
Das war eine kleine Ansammlung im Dark Age of Camelot 😂 Der größte RAID 800 vs 900 vs 1200 Player da schmiert jeder WoW Server ab 😂
Imagine if you're just collecting some auction house sells at the mailbox and this passes by,.... o.O
Have Group will travel was amazing for this Snuck a rogue in.. and have group will traveled the whole raid boom
For The Horde
I remeber doing these. I think I'm still missing the final one for the cheev
this was awesome
remember these days(2005) :D
LEEROY JENKIIINS!!
FOR THE ALLIANCE!
I remember doing this back in 2008 lol. You think it's difficult to lead a group now, back then we didn't have addons and the vent servers weren't good.
Running in 15-20 fps and the cities are full of horde
“Druid you’re ruining my computer “ 😂
Did this when this achievement 1st came out in 2008 I think. We just mobbed all the horde bosses.
Good job people !
This is exactly what I was searching for. I played wow 13 years ago and remember raiding towns and world PvP and all that.
In modern WoW with dragon flight, are people still pulling bosses into towns and doing stuff like in this video? The removal of pvp serves and this “war mode” thing I’ve just been told about makes me hesitant to re-subscribe and getting back into the game.
Seeing this video is awesome, is this like a once in a lifetime thing now or is there large scale things like this still going on?
Thanks
I dont play anymore, but this was on the blizzard classic wrath of the lich king servers. Not sure about retail, but if it does happen, very rarely.
oh man i remember doing this when they first introduce the achievement and we just steam rolled the alliance cities in a pvp server hahahaha. the lag on that 40man raid was insane hahahaha. they should introduce achievement like this on each xpac but instead of cities you get to raid the big bases of each faction hahahaha shit would be so chaotic
For THE HORDE~~!!!!Arrrrrh
YEA THE BOIS!!!!!!!!!!
Horda muerto abono pa mi huerto 💪🏻
How they have dk on lvl 70?
This was the wrath pre patch. Lvl 80 raid bosses but level cap was still 70.
What server
This is the wow i remember and want.. i quit at lvl 75 in war within that is completely another game and the zones under earth are not fun at all
I miss the days of all out battles in Southshore.
In old days on Stormscale horde server (before asshole blizzard merged 1 of the biggest alliance server with it) we could easily go SW and kill King there. And ofc everything what u could capture in Outland was always on Hordes. After that Merge it was not funny to play there anymore so i transfer all my characters to Agent Darn RP server to Alliance side
literally turned orgrimmar in an alliance city
Got mine in 2007 on arathor alliance...had about 5 frames per second and didn't know what the fuck was going on and then silence as the achievement came up.
For the Alliance!!!
Fol the Allianche! ☝🤓
gg
How is a DK playing?? Looks like this is BC
It was the wrath pre-patch. Dks were unlocked, but capped at 70 with the rest. Achievements just came out with the pre-patch, which inspired these groups interested in the “black war bear” mount.
I really miss this stuff but i just dont have the time.
fucking epic bro
i miss WoW
Where's 160 players here?
If you watch the video you will see..
And on retail you can do this in 2 people or even alone as DK tank. There's no meaning for doing that, and no one will come to defend 🤣 I still play on retail, but I wish the game would be an adventure rpg like it was before rather than seasonal crap like it is right now.
Wow is just a bunch of numbers and colors.
I wanna make an online rpg one day soon.
I'm horde but this is epic!!!
This is what I want when I want to play world of Warcraft lol 😂
World PvP back n the day was just so goated. Riding around STV questing solo in the rain. Hunting down tigers n trolls. Then all of a sudden it’s a 1v1 with someone trying to gank dat booty. Next hour or two sweating over the keyboard. He calls in his homies, I cal in mine. Next thing you know we’re going at it in STV for the rest of the night 🤣😭🤣😭🤣 they completely destroyed world PvP and it makes so sad.
