We snuck my warlock into old orgimaar with a couple stealthed rogues. Summoned the entire raid next to the throne room and killed thrall before they realized we were there.
On march 16, 2006 the Moonglade event happened on TVC server. It ended up crashing the server as people from both factions faced off in a huge pvp gathering. Don’t know if anyone still remembers or were there but it was epic!
Oh shit I forgot about the huge Moonglade event! Our server didn't crash but my old PC kept crashing until I turned all the settings to low lol! I remember we had like 500+ people fighting the giant 2-headed dog boss.
Silver storm and blue steel did it my old server just before the patch that took away the dishonorable kills, pre-bc. We crashed the server as well when we raided uc
Did this with, like, 15 people once because we did it on a Tuesday night. The cities were so empty that we managed to hit, like, 3 of them before anyone knew what was going on. We had a mage whose sole purpose was to stand away from the fight and be our "getaway car". Once we got the achievement, we went to Dalaran, rode our new bears through the street like a parade, then posted up in front of the Horde enclave and started dancing, LOL
I remember doing this achievement, sooo many years ago. I just recently got back into WoW and forgot where I got the Black War Bear from, thanks for reminding me. LOK'TAR OGAR, FOR THE HORDE!!!!

This is what world of Warcraft is about having fun with a community not what it is now. You make me so jealous that you got to do something like that when it's stupidly rare for me to even get in a group lol
Congrats! It is not easy pulling this off. It requires a good amount of coordination, leadership and individual dedication to be a success. When we did this back in the days on EU-Frostwolf most casters needed to defend the entrances while melee and healers were focusing on the boss. Each encounter took over 2 hours as far as I remember. It was craaazyyy but worth the world-first and especially the epic teamwork between all the gamers involved. Kudos to the brave heroes of the Alliance who didn't make it easy for us.
We got 5 full alliance raid groups in Vanilla to attack Ogrimmar during Vanilla WoW. The real Vanilla, not the remake of it. Only a few of us had mounts at the time. The Horde heard and was waiting for us. We got there...and server crashed. I logged back in to see a few of us around, and a few orders chasing us. It was chaos, failed miserably, but was still very fun. Shout out to the OG Bloodhoof Alliance.
We did this the week it came out. A single raid (we were all very geared). Hunters and tanks went in on the boss, the rest of us held off the Horde. We got all 4, with the fight in UC being last and being an absolute bloodbath. Nicely done
This achievement is one of my favorite memories of WOW I was part of 20 groups before we took down “King Varian Wrynn” but the best part was getting the groups together and yelling in trade need more “For the Hoard” and everyone tromping through the zones on a blood mission 😂😂The good ole days!!!
They would have to completely remake them because it overlaps with the normal east kingdom map so they would have to make a completely new version of 3 areas.

As a Hordie, I loved watching my home bases get demolished 😅😅😅 also this gave me hella nostalgia for classic - back when classic/vanilla wow wasn’t called classic/vanilla - it was just the retail wow
Doing these before the world revamp back in the day and in classic felt so rewarding. Constantly having to world pvp on the way to the city and race to beat the mounting defense was a fun experience . The only way to relive the original pvp and mount run on retail is to raid Silvermoon or Exodar and you’ll only probably run into a few people on the way.
I was with "The Original Bad Asses" a pvp guild on Calestretraz. we ran amok on Origimarr for about 3 hours. The horde couldn't beat us. Locks kept up the dots, Rogues did their thing, Warriors smashed, Hunters let lose pets, Shadow's feared, and we had 8 Heals plus Pally's. They just gave up. Tons and tons of fun. That was a bloody fantastic guild. In AV once, instead of going right from the alliance cave, we went left and hit the Horde head on. The confusion in the Horde was f'uckin hilarious. We slaughtered them all. Arr...the good old days
I remember defending Darnassus with a frost DK. Back in wotlk, they had this freezing aoe which made whole raids immobile for a few seconds. Gave Tyrande a few extra seconds to kill their tanks. Fun times.
We used to do this back on live 18 to 20 years ago. we would have like 7 raids of 40 mans if not more than 7 hitting the other cities. It was very rare but it was fun when our server did it.
On our classic server during prepatch, we had over 700 people spread over 23 raid groups. The server crashed and lost perhaps 20% by the time it came back online. but it was an epic night. All 4 alliance capital cities were raided simultaneously, across 3 layers (faction bosses respawn every 3 hours or so).
2005 on Deathwing (PvP server), Alliance raids Horde with the goal of killing Thrall. The level 59+s are in Raid 1, destined for Orgrimmar. Raid 2 is a mob led by the first L60 mage on Deathwing (I was the 2nd) heading toward Undercity and I was in that Raid 2 as I was 58. At this time, Thunder Bluff is not very populated. Also, these are real players, not farmers with L60 hunters and with no secondary craft/gather skills spamming Ironforge with blue and purple BoEs. Raid 2 has way more players because this is so early in Vanilla, there are less than a dozen L60s Alliance. We start the plan by setting out an hour earlier than Raid 1. Our goal is simple, keep zerging and causing as much havoc as possible in the Undercity, causing a kajillion "Undercity is under attack!" messages to spam all of the PvPers and cause them to head to Undercity for an hour. We have over 200 players in Raid 2 and more keep joining as they sign in. More and more Alliance show up. Few Alliance leave. More and more Horde show up as they finally can log in. Then, we achieve our goal...to crash the Eastern Kingdoms server. Now we've tied up a ton of Alliance and most of the willing PvPers. We don't have all of these tools for communication so we just do a hierarchy or yelling since there is a language barrier between Horde and Alliance. Raid 2 has bought about a three hour window or so for Raid 1. Eventually the Raid 1 heads to Orgrimmar and receives minor resistance. But, after a couple hours, they fail on Thrall because Raid 1 is full of 59s and a few 60s in greens and a few blues while Thrall is a skull level (we didn't know his level) and raiding culture is very primitive. Most people are just trying to finish their first sets of class-based gear. Paladins are half Skittle, half McDonalds. After some leave, the remaining decide to try their hand at a UBRS raid. Pre-Onyxia/pre-MC of course...the days of 10-man Strat. The days of Thottbot. Pre-the days of ninja-ing the Hide of the Beast. Back in those days, there were no veteran WoW players, everyone was playing in their first year. Any MMO philosophy usually came from was either absent or from Ultima Online...most EQ players either weren't coming back or were still playing EQ.
I started this achievement YEARS ago, but never finished it. Several years back, I logged in to the game and the achievement completed upon login. I'll take it lol.

I was part of a huge group and we did the For the Horde Raid. This was back when Alliance was allowed in Ogrimmar. It was so much fun. As we were trying to leave Stormwind I got separated from the group. Came upon several Alliance players. They laughed and of course jumped me. Rejoined the group and finished it. We all mounted our Black War Bear and got in a line and paraded around Ogrimmar in front of the Alliance players. They all laughed. Great times.
What is this BS? Alliance allowed in Orgrimmar? This was never in the game, i play since 2005. You automatically get flagged for PVP on an opposing factions City. The game does not care if you want it the other way around. It didnt happen the way you remember it or describe it.😊
