I hope everyone enjoys this video! 🌟 I just wanted to add a quick note: I used quite a lot of annatto seeds to infuse the oil in this recipe, which made the soap's color more vibrant. However, the color tends to bleed when washing, you can prevent it by reducing the amount of annatto seeds to infused oil. If you have any questions, just leave a comment below! Thank you! 😊

Hello Mr.Huy This is a lovely video and thank you for sharing your recipe. I have a bad eczema so when I put the recipe through a soap calculator and found out that the coconut oil is 25% that makes the cleansing value 17, so i changed the coconut oil 20% that makes the cleansing value 13. I love this soap recipe therefore If you kindly could help me to adjust this soap recipe to make it less harsh on my skin ( may be lowering the coconut oil even further to make the cleansing value 9 or 7 or increase the superfat to 8 ) i am a new soap maker hence the very long question. Thank you in advance for your help. 🌹

Thank you for your kind comment! It sounds like you're already doing a great job using the soap calculator to adjust the recipe to suit your needs. Yes, you can definitely reduce the percentage of coconut oil to achieve a lower cleansing value, as you've mentioned. To balance the recipe, you can increase the percentage of cocoa butter and shea butter to compensate for the reduced coconut oil. Also, Increasing the superfat to 8% is a great idea to make the soap gentler on your skin. Just keep experimenting with the recipe until you find what works best for you-every skin type is unique! I hope this helps ! Cheers! 😊

What is the use of sodium citrate?

Sodium citrate acts as a chelating agent, meaning it binds with metal ions in water, which helps prevent the ions from reacting with the soap and prevent soap scum from forming. By using sodium citrate, the soap will perform well in both soft and hard water.
