  • ''That was the end. Every page was filled now with simple couplets and playful, itchy-scratchy drawings. But no worthwhile information. Nothing that told me what had happened to my family, to me, or to the cop. Nothing that told me what those horrific, misshapen creatures were...''
So happy to be finally bring the conclusion of this wonderful story to you. The author has been ill, hence the delay. I know you'll all join me in wishing her a speedy recovery!

Dr. Creepen Good Evening dear Dr....I have a slight problem.I went to order MY shirt and I was so desperately hoping to find one I liked. And I didnt, however,I had to see the ones available to get a feel for what im looking for.And after listening to one of your stories I saw it😍.The artwork i speak of is when you stand up and give a bow with your hands out and the book turns to flame.Do you have a still shot with your character standing with your hands out and the book IN it.Sir,I dont mean to come off bossy or dear God ungrateful. But I as a dedicated listener would be ever so grateful if I could purchase such a 😍shirt😍

Artak091: I believe you've got that right, friend; the magnificent Dr. van Creepen could mesmerize us all by simply reading the unabridged NYC phone directory! He's found his niche here on RUclips; I'm frankly really impressed by the creativity he showed making such a choice and the hard work he puts into his endeavor. Doctor, the charming openness and intimacy with which you address us, your audience, and your fine and discerning taste in creative, creepy narratives, are largely responsible for the adoration and faithfulness of your "followers." I think you have a valid reason to be proud of of this obvious accomplishment. So, although you have a reputation of being a "pied piper of hairy spiders," and are widely known to sleep in a rotation of shallow graves in the Carpathian Mountains, and, no offense, Doctor, but your visage is decidedly scary: despite these very interesting and distinctive characteristics, we are attracted to you because you are a singular Master of the telling of Tales. We all look forward to every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; whatever else our day is like, you'll bring us some aural pleasure to relax and soothe us. (The anxieties we can handle...we're tough (heh, heh.) Good evening to you, Doctor, and good evening to my fellow listeners. kris k.

Good evening Dr. I am the blind individuals from the Mexico that has been listening to you for some time now. I still get every single notification for every single story that you put out. I truly enjoyed the flow with which you read your stories. I especially love the one where you're by a campfire. I am a fireman myself. You truly have a most excellent Channel, and it is definitely some of the finest narrating out there. I certainly hope that you keep up such fine work. I am looking forward to hearing a plethora of more stories from your channel. Thank you again for feeling so many of my Sleepless hours. Television sucks p. S. Please forgive any typos. Omg. People. He's blind now. Who knows, maybe an accident while fighting a fire caused his blindness. Kinda like Marines: once a firefighter, always a firefighter. Maybe his accident just recently happened and he's used to saying 'I am a".... Kinda like when a loved one dies and for a long time after we say "he/she is" "He/she loves this /that". We cant say "He was" cuz it hurts too deeply to vocalize the loss.
When something defines us, we have it as attached to us as our names. Maybe he was a fire fighter for decades upon decades.

Throwing this out there, she could've had a severe and untreated postpartum pychosis. Not to take away the horror element, but with the abuse, the loss if time and reality, and the lack of feeling. What a fantastic story! Thank you for narrating it Dr. :)

While I was invested through most of this, I feel like I have to agree with those who say the ending was unsatisfying. I get that a scary story doesn't need a happy ending, but a story this long is kind of a waste if the ending doesn't feel worthwhile. It's not bad at all, but it could've been better.
I'm also bothered by the number of questions that are "resolved" by assuring us that the answers exist, but the main character didn't figure them out so we don't get them. There was a lot of creativity in this, but it feels pointless when all the explaining and clues just lead to a massive shrug and nothing more. For example, the constant oil, rot, and hair didn't seem to serve a purpose other than "because creepy." The trident also didn't seem to mean anything. It would've been nice to see some of this stuff come together, even if some questions were left unanswered.

I’m just 35 minutes into this and so far I am BLOWN AWAY by this story. It’s truly terrifying and mysterious and beautiful and pushes most of the buttons that most people don’t want pushed...Motherhood, Personal Safety and privacy especially within the walls of the places people call home, sanity and the whole Cassandra Complex twist...I’m really conflicted about going further into this story now in part because I really like this character and I am afraid to hear what happens to her BUT also I don’t want this story to end, just like people do with books and movies that they love.
I also really love Dr. Creepens voice, which is reminiscent of Vincent Price. His voice can be light hearted to darkly humorous and interestingly sympathetic. His voice is excellent perfect for pieces like this and he brings so much more color, mood and context to his work!

This story is extremely well written, engaging, and a true "page-turner." I couldn't stop listening until the conclusion. Is this author published? If not, he or she should be. This writer has that special gift of true story-telling, that ability to withhold key elements until just the right moment, then reveal them with an illusionist's subtle flourish. Well done.

This feels like treatment for the full movie adaptation of 'Unedited Footage of a Bear'.
It's hard for a story to start out unsettling and grow in stomach-turning anxious horror like this as it goes along.
I have been diagnosed with PTSD related to stillbirth of my baby, and a history of prior psychotic episodes when I was much younger. Suffice to say this freaked the beans out of me.
Growth and reflection through horror is a hard thing to explain to people who don't experience it or aren't aware of doing so.I think this one will stick with me a while, and I'm curious how I'll reflect on it.
Here's wishing that everyone stays safe and finds happiness wherever possible, as we live those day to day battles to be our best selves (just hopefully not in the way it happened in this story).

This was one hell of a story and I honestly don't think anyone else but you could have narrated it so on point! I was so not expecting the room to essentially be the battle royal arena for all of the doppelgangers- I seriously was waiting for the confirmation that it was house eating people.
I can only imagine how difficult it was to read this just because I would've trailed off as I get further and further grossed in the story! XD I am still reeling over everything that happened! Thank you so much for making a video where all of the parts are together and linking the actual story. I am hard of hearing so sometimes I struggle to hear lower tones (its aggravating rewinding the story) but I was able to easily find the parts I was unsure of by using the link! Thank you so much for all your hard work and for the author's wonderful imagination and writing skills! X3 X3

That was really good and extremely well read, but
the ending was wholly unsatisfying. Way too open ended. Ruins the creepiness factor for me.

@@murrayflewelling1258 I honestly think it depends on your perspective. Not to imply that it's left to be desired, because I think it's actually a brilliant ending. Read it anyways. I've read interpretations of what the ending represents from the actual r/nosleep thread that best explain why it's actually satisfying.

@@murrayflewelling1258 Saved you two hours IMO. It’s a good narration and the stories just okay. It starts off pretty entertaining but the plot as a whole centers around a riddle. The reader tries to solve the riddles, but the ending is open. In my opinion, the author created a story mess and didn’t tie up the loose ends.
That being said, the majority of people seemed to like it, but I did not care for the story.
