Josh Beasley Thank you for taking the time to respond to your viewers. I respect all of the time, effort and thoughtfulness you put into your videos while also being a busy, hardworking student at Yale. One last thing, is it possible for you to make a video talking about study habits at Yale (or as a college student in general) and how you take notes and interact while in class? Thank you so much again.
Just seeing you replied to this now. Wow amazing how much my life has changed since then. This is my first time interacting with your videos in 6 year. I used to click your profile daily to check for new videos. Wherever life took you after Yale I hope you’ve found a fulfilled life! Would love to connect sometime over email lmk
Talking about gap years: Of those students that you brought up that took a gap year, did they take a year off after high school and then applied to Yale, or did they get accepted to Yale then decided to take a gap year. I am currently a senior and thinking of taking a gap year, and apply to Yale (I did not apply this year because I did not really research Yale and now I am genuinely interested in it). If anyone has any advice or information, possibly from a student at Yale, it would be greatly appreciated!
I literally laughed out loud. This made my day. Thank you. Also, I love your videos and am currently waiting to hear back for Regular Decision from Yale. Wish me luck!
Hey Josh; I love your videos man! I really hope you can answer some question for me: I'm a junior and just got a 1460 on the SAT (I got a 1370) back in November. I really prepped a lot for this, and I have trouble with timing and test anxiety; that is, I often do better on practice tests. Any advice on what next steps I could take to strengthen my profile and make me worthy of elite schools? Extracurricular wise, I've done wrestling all through hs, and I'm doing research at UC Santa Barbara this summer (those are the main things). Thanks, again! I really hope to hear back from you :)
Hey Josh so I’m going to be a freshmen in high school next year and for some odd reason the highest math you can take as a freshman is Geometry. Do you think it is ok on my college application if I take algebra 2 as a sophomore, pre calculus as a Jr and AP Calculus as a Senior while taking all the other APs that I can during my sophomore, Junior and Senior year? The reason why I’m particularly stressed about this is because you said in one of your past videos that you took AP Calculus as a Jr and I can’t really do that.
Hello, I watch all of your videos and love them. In this video you mention that you applied for many scholarships and it helped you out a lot. The bit of research I have done about Yale, shows that if you get an outside scholarship, those monies get deducted from the Yale grant/award amount. For example, if I get a $42,000 grant/award from Yale but I also get a $10,000 scholarship from my local Knights of Columbus chapter, if I accept the $10,000 scholarship it will reduce my Yale grant by $10,000. How did you use all of your scholarships? Thank you greatly.
How many AP's did some of your friends take in high school? I know it varies which is why I'm trying to get a range... would you say that 9 is sufficient? Would taking 10 over 9 make a difference?
The daily videos are not stopping anytime soon! If this video gets enough likes, I'll post another day in the life soon!
Josh Beasley I love day in the life videos!
Bring Henderson back!
Will do

You can do it either way, but most people apply while they are still in high school and delay their matriculation

I'm content with the content
Hey Josh, which textbook are you using for your Electromagnetism class?
Josh If you upload videos weekly not daily that will be great. It will save your time as well as will increase the acceptance to audiences.

That's completely fine, my case was an exception. Most people only take one year of calc in high school
Josh Beasley ok thank you so much!!
