I can't believe how different it is on the 1983 Cutlass Supreme Brougham v8 Y 5.0l. I'm doing my water pump, ps pump and housing + thermo and it's been a nightmare with the brackets for everything mounted to the waterpump. 3.8 seems pretty straight forward. Even the overdrive is mounted to the housing lmao. It's ridiculous.
TRUSTY PEREZ yea man I also have an 84, I have air blowing out of the feet vents and defrosters but can’t get air to blow out of main vents. I’ve read that there’s a couple lines coming from the firewall and I followed a few cut lines under my hood but I can’t find a good visual reference to look at and compare mine to.
@@EdwardMorningSky yes I have the same problem on my 82 4doir cutlass my defrost n feet vents work. But not the center vents main vents,...I bee scratching my head
Bro what am i doing wrong? I cant even remove the damn fan clutch. I removee the 4 screws and it seems like the thing is stuck or something? The pulley moves and wiggles but the damn clutch is stuck. What can i do?
@TRUSTY901 appreciate that bro. Sadly, yes, I do live far. I could definitely use your help. I tried everything and nothing. I don't have to turn the clutch counter clock , right, I should just be able to remove it as so soon as I remove the 4 screws from the pulley? I banged it with a hammer and even used a small crow bar pero nada is working. I wonder if this model has to he unscrewed?
Nice Og engine bay…I really need the part # off the engine oil dipstick and off the tube I been trying to find a dipstick N tube for this same vehicle engine plz lmk if able to get info. Thnkz
Now that I'm doing my cutlass right now you went too fast I really didn't see good details so it's like I'm just watching the video over and over for nothing...
Gotta replaced mine in my 85 cutlass thanks for the video 👌🏼
Evelyn Ortega thank you 😀

How'd you get the studs into the water pump that the fan clutch bolts onto ?? Just regular hand tight or was there a certain way ?
I finger tightened them and I gave them a turn and snugged them with needle nose pliers
I needed to see you take it off the water pump...
Some of the footage was lost while uploading it
Can you do a video of the spark plugs and the order where they go
I wish I could, but i swapped the motor out for a small block
Good job
Any suggestions how to adjust a power steering belt
On the v6’s i don’t, i wish i could help you on that
What happened to the beginning of the video, showing how to remove everything else's 🤔
Some of the stuff recorded got deleted while uploading the video😐
Will try this soon ,,, 3.8-83 cutlass

If it’s the r134a it will work and depending where you are at you might still find them at auto parts stores because they are banning them
Thank' s Perez👍
Did u drain the fluid for this job
Aaron Dallas yes i did it was one part we left out lol
Your not supposed to put grease under the gasket
I know but it held it in place and it worked out fine
I jus did mine but now she bearly cranking and struggling to turn over.... why is that
Belts possibly lose to alternator? Or bad ground
Patrick Romero i agree with the previous comment it could be that the belts are not tight enough or the battery is not fully charged
Starter solenoid are know overheat quick. I had the same problem and replaced it with a high torque mini starter and problem solved.
