Just used this bag for 2 weeks in Europe and it was great. Loved the organization and the weight, and it fit well underneath the seat. My new favorite backpack.
I took this bag to Japan for 18 days last month. I used it for a laptop, cameras, and other daypack needs, and when we forwarded our luggage to the next town, expanded it and stuffed in a packing cube of clothes and a toilet kit to cover 1-2 nights. For the most part, it worked well. Problems were: when expanded, tended to fall on its belly unless thoughtfully packed; and admin pocket loose items spilled easily (deeper would be better). If you want a pack that can work as a "personal item" AND expand now and then, I recommend. Otherwise, something a little bigger will probably be more convenient.
I really was interested in this pack for my shorter trips (up to a week) instead of using my bigger bags but I hate all the color options so I ended up just now getting the Patagonia Black Hole 25L. 😅
Great idea. It is always more difficult to pack your bag in camp prior to your return than doing it at home prior to your departure. Even with some of the expendables like food having been consumed. Why i always buy a larger stuff sack for my tentage and sleeping bags.
Looks like a great bag, too bad this review basically ignored the main pocket and decided to not show us what they fit in there and what it looks like expanded with the stuff in there... Spent more time on the airtag pocket then the main bag purpose... Odd...
Agree about the internal strap but I bought a set of Decathlon packing cubes and largest one is great for clothing and leaves room for two smaller ones as the second layer.
This review was going so well and then it was cut short and the main part of the bag was cut from being properly reviewed. This is so disappointing. I own this bag and absolutely love it and know there is so much more that could have been said and shown about the main compartment. Please redo this video or add to it. Show it packed out normally and then in expanded mode. Show the mesh pocket on the lid etc…
I'm not sure what else you'd want to see. Either they took your advice and added more at the end, or maybe you didn't watch it all the way through? She did go over the main pocket, and the compression strap, and the mesh pocket, and included some compression cubes. Earlier in the video, she showed how the expansion adds about 2" of depth. It's a pretty simple pocket, so I'm not sure what else would need to be said about it.
That’s a very clever way to construct a laptop compartment. Enough protection and accessibility for your device, but doesn’t consume much space if you don’t carry one.
The 26+6 is just barely too big according to Swiss Air's hand bag policy, by about an inch in each direction. I fly with Swiss in a couple of days, so I'm gonna take it anyway and hope they don't notice. 😁
@aviregal our flights got completely rescheduled due to a delay, so we ended up flying with Brussels Airlines instead of Swiss. But we were able to use this as a personal item without a problem. Even on our way back (on United), when we had extra souvenirs packed in, the 26+6 (in the 26 configuration) still fit under the seats as a personal item, and the Farpoint and Fairview 40s worked great as carryon luggage.
Wish it had features to be more compatible to dual carry with my Osprey Farpoint (similar to how the Farpoint day pack has the pass throughs on the front or the buckles on the shoulder straps) Might have to Jerry rig a solution as the Farpoint day back is too narrow to get anything into from the top but this 26+6 is pretty much Ryanairs personal bag limits and is open enough to actually get a camera cube in etc
The width of the straps at the top back is too small for me. I feel choked and nauseous. I am 5'9 (175cm) and 250LB (1113.5K) so I am pretty wide. FYI for larger folks.
What I never understood was the lockable zippers (so you can feel secure your belongings inside are safe), but then another zipper to the same compartment that doesn’t lock (like the laptop compartment zipper)….. this makes zero sense 🤔 Big reason this bag is a no for me

Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
One of the best bags I own, I just used it for 2 weeks in Europe as a personal item only and worked well for Ryan air and easy Jet
🤙🤙🤙

This is a great bag! It carried all my stuff back East for a weeks vacation. Had to do laundry 1/2 way through, which is no problem! Great purchase!
Looks like Osprey stepped up their game. Nice bag

This channel has a great presentation and review of bags. It’s my latest relax time. 👍
Thanks for watching! 😃

Spectacular bag. Easily packs a week's worth of clothes and gear with even a little room left over for shopping!
Ya I agree - some of the colour options suck big time.

I need this. Really love Osprey bags.
👀👀👀
would you rather choose this over the Osprey Parsec 26 Pack?

Awesome bag, comfortable and sturdy. Fit everything for my 4 day trip to Vancouver!
Nice 😃
Have you reviewed the DSPTCH mini utility ruck Back Pack??????
I just bought the 44l version. I love it. I may also buy this smaller one for different kinds of travel etc

This is the second edition of this bag. It fits as personal item on many European budget airlines
I’ve used it Ryanair as under-seat luggage - without any problem- as long as unexpanded and without water bottles.

@@anwenshahim741 I used it on Play, no issues last year
@@deanhatescoffee how did this go?

Need to include dimensions, weight and cost.
This bag looks amazing but its out of stock everywhere besides the yellow. Any idea where I can get black one??
Amazon uk have only black, odd and annoying as I prefer a colour.
Looks great
Love how light the bag is for the size. And how much structure it has compared to my old Decathalon Escape 23L.
Great Review, liked your up and down vibe 😅 but still kept the details and information on point along with personal experience with the bag 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! 😃
Thank you. I’ve been looking at this a lot for a personal bag… but I also really like the Kanken.

can you compare this with the osprey daylight 35?
this bag is soo hard to find! they always only have the ugly yellow available
Laptopcpmpartment should have double zips and be separate. Otherwise has been excellent bag.

Roxanne Knoll
Lol how do you review an expandable backpack without even showing the expansion part
How come you haven't reviewed the new Able Carry bag
hyped bag but it’s always sold out 😅
Yea. Not getting this in black color.
Too bad that there’s no (obvious) way to stow the straps.
