The scary part is that Nine can use his intelligence against Sonic in ways that the council couldn’t. He knows that Sonic has a dynamic with Tails and can use that to his advantage.
I’m also upset that Moebius Tails is nothing like Nine. I’d love to see him and Scourge interact.
i love how this show really shows how truly smart tails is, and if he wanted to our tails could easily become one of the best villains in the series. Nine is definitely my favorite character ever, i don’t understand why he gets so much hate.

I wish the other characters were designed the same way as Nine. He's a "what if" version of Tails that never met Sonic. While the others was just lolPirate or lolJungleman.
I think Nine has to be my favorite variant of Tails. He’s incredibly smart and knows how to take advantage of his situations, has a pretty cool design in addition to his seven mechanical tails and two real ones (to replicate that of the kitsune, of course), and I like how he has a backstory that tells what became of him since he never met Sonic any time after being bullied and started being very independent.
And honestly, after finishing season two, despite taking the shards for himself for his own intentions, I can’t really blame Nine for how he was towards Sonic considering that Sonic himself was treating Nine like he was an impostor Tails and made him feel like he wasn’t truly considered a friend to Sonic.
I can personally see Nine being at least the secondary antagonist of season 3 who eventually gets redeemed near the end. It really makes me wonder what’ll happen to Nine and all of the other shatterverse variants of these characters by the end of this series.
Hopefully, they’ll also do characters like Shadow more justice in the next season as well. I think it would’ve been really interesting to see him interact with the chaos council and such.
Nine by far is best character. Other series have kept Tails useless ever since the end of the Sonic Adventure games. So it's real cool to see Tails actually do stuff. But better yet, He does not show all that he is capable of.
Man does Sonic have an uphill battle in season 3...
Combine this level of intelligence and unpredictability with all five of the Paradox Prism Shards, and you have a character that could probably be Sonic's toughest challenge yet, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
And just a reminder: Dread and The Chaos Council are still out there. So its not just Nine that Sonic has to worry about.
This shows how nine would be way bigger threat than we realize anf that has potential to be the best villain
I seriously really hope season 3 does nine justice not just wasted him and have anticlimactic redemption but rather a
redemption that feels earned and time
Show is good but bit wonky, so I wouldn’t get too excited about a great ending. They’ll probably do the bare minimum for a solid story falling short of a great story.
It's funny when people say "Shadow will kick Nine's ass in season 3" like, dude... Nine has the whole paradox power for himself and he can manipulate it as much as he wants, I mean, we've seen Nine creating objects and portals in the show, plus he can charge his robotic tails
Shadow can't even enter to any shatterspace tho 💀
And even if Shadow could enter to a shatterspace, Nine would use traps, artillery, robots, etc

and it's true that Nine can't just easily be defeated
I feel like in season 3 of Sonic Prime will maybe have more interactions between Nine, Mangey & Sails.
Maybe Nine will convince others into joining his side as we dont know if when the prism is assembled again. The alternate worlds will be perhaps destroyed.
It makes sense that Nine is afraid and took the shards from Sonic at the end of season 2
That would be a very interesting dilemma to explore in the next season!

I have always viewed Tails as being the Gellert Grindelwald of the Sonic series with a hint of William Afton, but these facts that you've brought up actually puts him on the same level as them maybe even higher.

Anyone noticed how from 1:29 to 1:38, Ranni uses law 13 of “The 48 Laws of Power” to influence us into watching his video. Due to the fact that instead of counting on our mercy or our trust by for example saying “pls stay to the end, I promise it’s interesting ! “ he appealed to our self-interest by saying that this video was on opportunity to learn more about the laws of power through the character of Nine and then in order to make us want to learn more about the laws of power, he tells us that they could help us defend ourselves against scawwy people that do use theses laws to harm others. I only understood this after watching this video multiple times. By the way your video is really interesting and entertaining while not being too long, Huge props Ranni ! Also huge props for using law 13 under our noses without us even noticing, what a master that I shall not outshine ! I haven’t noticed him using any other laws of power for now ( after all I only know the ones he mentioned here ) but if you notice he used another one, feel free to respond to my comment. If you’re reading this Ranni, I would love another video about all the other laws of power that Nine uses or just another one talking about Nine ( I read on a response you did to a comment that you were planning on doing another one when season 3 comes around but I would like to not wait that long but it’s your choice after all) and maybe other videos talking about all the other variants you haven’t covered and even videos where you talk about other aspects of variants you already covered. I can’t really use law 13 to convince you of listening to me because even if I promise to like and watch the videos multiple times, I would appeal to your trust and not your self-interest ( it’s not like I have anything to bring you anyway sadly ) but yeah ! For those who believe Nine is still going to be the main villain, there’s a very low chance. Nine is the only one who knows how to restore the Paradox prism, so Sonic is going to have to convince him to help.. though, I have a good feeling that the Shatterverses will still exist when it’s restored. Nine might look into that and realize that he could help Sonic too.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m on Nine’s side of the argument. He had every right to take the prisms and leave Sonic. But I do think Sonic will end up gaining Nine’s trust again.
Just because he will be redeemed doesn't mean that he won't be the villain
He’s been redeemed in season 2, and at the end he got deredeemed
I hope by the end of Prime, the takeaway most have from Nine is not "he's what Tails should be". As independent and self-sufficient as he is, that came with drawbacks because of how he grew up in a hopeless, hostile place in solitude. The main being lack of ability to trust and have support. (Tails' dependency and optimistic might come at a fault at times, but he's not gonna throw others under the bus to achieve his personal goals or won't hear them out. He wants a more peaceful world too, but you can't achieve that by only having one viewpoint. You're not the only one that lives in said world. )
Sonic helped Tails realize things about himself he hadn't before; and by meeting new people, Tails became stronger and open to more untapped potential for it. (We see the 1st and slights of the 2nd part with Nine, but now he's at a crossroads where he could lapse back to how he was before or ending up in an unmarked 3rd path. Hopefully whatever the show chooses, it lands properly for the story.)

Nine isn’t bad at all, he just didn’t know, he thought all the shatter verses would connect into one, getting rid of him as he goes into the real tails, I mean i would think that too, until seeing that sonic wouldn’t let that happen.
Really cool video, it is pretty concise too. The clarity was good as well. I was sort of expecting a bit more though. But it was a nice video.

Nines is strong but he is far from the strongest. Shadow saw right through his deception and show complete distrust toward him.
No matter how cunning you get, there is always someone who's tough enough to see right through your bs.
Even if Shadow didn't trust him, Shadow has no choice. Only Nine knows how to assemble the crystals. By keeping people dependent, Nine forces his power over Shadow. What was Shadow gonna do? He knows nothing about shatter tech.
@@ixiahj Depend. Shadow can still use his actual strength to force Nines to do it. Or he can keep a close eye on him to make sure he doesn't try anything funny or stop him before he did what he did. There is a lot of way Shadow can go about this. But the main thing is Sonic and his cheerful and naïve attitude adding to the fact that the enemies is strong (The Chaos Council) so Shadow has to come to his aid as well.

Shadow can't even get even get into different Shatterspaces though. That's why Nine was able to walk away with the incomplete Paradox Prism as Shadow watched and growled
@@huynhvuongviet2410 I don't think Shadow has enough knowledge or wisdom to outsmart Nine in a field of expertise Shadow knows nothing about. Nine could simply appear to be working on the shards but he's doing the exact opposite of what Shadow asked of him and Shadow would never know until its too late.
Nine is an enemy you can't punch your way out of. And all Shadow knows to do is punch.
@@ixiahj To be fair, the way Nines was working on the shards did sort of fix it. I mean we saw a glimpse of the world being fixed when he put the shards back together. He only really broke it when he destroyed it at the last second.
You got a point. Nines could be working against Shadow's interests without his knowledge but saying that he only know how to punch thing feel like you are underestimating his character. He was the one who came up with the plan to put the shards back together thus reuniting their world. He realize Sonic can enter the shatterverse when he run fast enough by accumulating Prism energy. And last but not least, he still saw through Nines's machination and showed distrust toward him.
Honestly, out of every characters in the show thus far, I still think Shadow got the most point for being the most clever head and rational character in the show.
Well power is normally formed through strength but this is more like intelligence so it would make more sense if you sead is nine the smartest character in sonic prime and i believe he is
In the context of my video, I use Robert Greene's definition of power which has less to do with raw strength and more to do with intelligence and manipulation tactics in order to gain control.

i hope they wont ruin nine in the third season because he ( alongside rusty rose ) is one of the reasons why i like sonic prime
if they dont mess it up and focus more on these two characters and actually try do make a good story for them this show will become one of my favorites
they messed up rusty rose a little bit but its not too late for her... imagine giving her a tragic backstory of how she became a cyborg and in the end of the show ( just like gamma from sonic adventure ) sacrifice her life to free the bird inside of her robotic body
and for nine? they can easily make him the best character of the franchise... i hope they wont do the "he became a good guy by the power of kindness and friendship" thing because that is lame... i dont want a redemption arc for him... i want nine to become the best villain... let him become so dangerous that the chaos council would help sonic to save their own life... let him almost succeed at reaching his goals... let us somehow have a nine vs shadow battle... in sonic x and sonic boom we saw shadow beating tails and now its time for revenge... make nine defeat shadow this time so that shadow would be forced to fight alongside sonic to stop nine... i dont expect nine to ultimately win because of course sonic is going to have a good ending but i want nine to lose like a badass... i dont want him to beg or cry or be a sore loser... i want him to die like a badass or be locked up in a high security place because of how dangerous he is and he would be like "i will be back"
i mean nothing would be as good as the "where was my hero" sonic fan comic but i want it to at least try to be close to that but i fear that both nine and rusty rose are going to have a anti-climactic end

I think that Nine is the 2nd most powerful Shatterspace character (1st being Chaos Sonic). But compared to Shadow and Sonic, he would lose, but have a better chance of being either one of them in a 1v1 fight than the rest of the characters
Definitely not. Nine was the one who created *and* destroyed Chaos Sonic.
@@kieranpleaseforgiveme Nine didn't create him. The Chaos Council created him using the Prism shards by using Nine's knowledge on Sonic. Why would Nine want to create a robotic version of Sonic with the purpose of killing him?
@@kieranpleaseforgiveme Also Nine stated that no one can defeat Sonic bc of his speed, determination, and that "no one thinks how he thinks" so the Council created Chaos Sonic with those details in mind. After Chaos Sonic was created, he fought and defeated the two Knuckles and Rebel Rouge. He also gave Sonic a run for his chili dogs 😅

Sonic, Knux, Rebel and dread 1v4 Chaos Sonic and can't beat him. Nine one shot the guy and killed him. He didn't get lucky, he didn't doubt his plan. Nine knew exactly what to do and manipulated the situation to kill Chaos Sonic. If Nine wanted to beat his opponent, he will beat his opponent.
Chaos Sonic was designed to beat Sonic and Nine wiped him off like a nuisance. Whether it be Sonic, Shadow or whoever else, they don't stand a chance against Nine in a fight.

I wonder if Zally (a variation of Princess Sally Acorn) from the alternate universe of the Zone Cops from Sonic Archie comics could counter Nine. Besides her, Shadow might be the sole character in the show who could go toe to toe with Nine.

I'm just gonna say it, nine is evil. The japanese mythology is really in play. Wanting to destroy other worlds just to make a new one for your own? Now that's just pure evil, considering how he needs to kill sonic and exploit his powers to fully create his delusional utopia. Can't wait to see how it all ends come january 11.

i think nine isnt the smartest. he told all of his intentions to sonic and how he chiseled his way through the chaos council, which sonic could use to recognize his tactics later on. or sonic could just tell shadow, which is, in my opinion, easily the strongest character in prime. he saw through nines weak rouge and knew what to do. if shadow could go through the portals the entire show would already be over due to his raw strength,speed, and intellect.
