Just because the conditioning didn’t work on Crosshair, even if he’s being truthful about being conditioned in the first place, doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work on Tech. @@Crescent177 Season 1 Episode 1. Tech said they were more deviant than defective. And maybe it also depends on the condition. If Tech was severely weakened and near death, his mind was certainly weakened and therefore treatable in Hemlock's favor. Either way, this CX-2 has more Tech. It can't be Cody because otherwise he wouldn't be with Rex in Rebels. It can't be a Crosshair clone either. In CW the character named 99. This clone grew extremely quickly and was therefore restricted, severely restricted, for fighting. If it were a Crosshair clone, it would have to be disfigured and not be able to fight like that. And in addition to Crosshair, there was another excellent marksman in Clone Force 99. Exactly, Tech. He shot the part off the car perfectly, which caused him to fall in S2's last episode.
I’ve been thinking about that line “you have your chance to be one of us” alot. I don’t think he’s referring to the dark program but leaving the bad batch. To me it has to be Tech. I reason this because although he does fight close up like Cody everything he does is so smart. When he shot the panel at the right spot to blow it up and took down the ship knowing exactly what spot to hit. He had to know the technology and how it operated, after losing his long ranged weapon he knew he had to close the distance. Everything about him is calculated, quick witted and smart. It has to be Tech he’s just way too proficient and calculated
Is it just me or is this whole entire final season focused on Crosshair (which i do love since he was absent for like 85% of season 2)?!?! He's getting much more screen time than needed and it appears as though while still in the middle of his redemption arc he still does know things especially about the operative that was hunting them down All things considered he put up a great fight but that mysterious operative is not holding back and makes us all wonder if crosshair knows more than he's letting on for fear of whats come....like perhaps this mysterious assasin could perhaps be Tech brainwashed in a matter of speaking and is well aware of how well the resto of the bad batch operates and exploits that weakness??? Though having the sniping capabilities of Crosshair is a lot to go on.
How personal this fight felt, it is one of the biggest things that makes me think it’s tech. But the “could of been one of us” line cancels that I feel
I legit was shaking and crying the entire time I was watching this scene for the first time. I didn’t stop shaking until 20 mins after the show needed 😂 I was like “not my ffavorite character pleeeaaase!!!” “NOOOOO CROSSHAIRRR!!!!!”
I’m torn on whether it’s Tech or Cody. - He uses a knife like cody and it’d make sense why we’ve never seen cody since his last ep -The theme that plays is very mechanical and techno, you can see where I’m going with that. As well as small parts of the plan 99 music playing during the fight.
Honestly I think I’m gonna go with Cody, considering he especially took the knife from the dead clone just because he could. I think the Plan 99 music will always play when one of the members of the bad batch is in danger of dying alone, and the tech theme of the music is intentionally misleading.
"You had your chance to be one of us and you choose the wrong side" I might be overthinking it but I feel like this has a hidden meaning. Assuming that clone is Tech he's basically telling Crosshair had his chance to rejoin the bad batch back in season 1 but he stayed loyal to the Empire and it's partially his fault that Tech is now working for the Empire
Who’s it gonna be? A Crosshair clone? Reconditioned Tech or Cody? Or Marrok V2 who will look awesome and then die pathetically in his third appearance?
"You had your chance to be one of us" and "you chose the wrong side" sound like theyre pretty important. If its tech, it could be him expressing his feelings for once towards crosshair about him wanting to stay with the empire instead of the batch. Or it could just literally be another clone talking about the training and conditioning they all went through to become operatives. If its a clone based on crosshair or other members of the batch i dont see why they would say those things other than for the same reason any other regular clone who had the training would say them
It could be an evil brainwashed clone of crosshair or somehow tech or an evil brainwashed clone of tech or evil brainwashed commander Cody since it kinda sounds like him without the voice changer?

Hot take: The operative is a clone of Crosshair. He has the shooting skills similar to Crosshair and is an evil mirror image of Crosshair had he fully integrated into the Empire. Makes it all the more poetic if he was "fighting himself"
I personally think it’s Tech. I reason this because he’s smart.. too smart. He knew to snipe the wiring on the table in episode 6 and knew what tech of the ship to shoot to take it down. Every step of the way I was thinking he’s too calculated and witty in everything he does.. even knowing he needed to close the distance after losing the long range rifle against crosshair. Way too intelligent for any other clone
Just finished this episode and came to see if anyone else had the same suspicion that the operative was Cody. Its a mixed bag, but I'm liking the convos going on. Only time will tell.
They say, the Operative could be Reconstructed and Brainwashed Tec, I think it could be another Clone of Crosshair due to the combat skills and the accuracy of the sniper I think that the Empire can create clones of ex-clones that can have superior skills and treats.
Now I don’t think it could be a Crosshair clone. It appears that they can only create clones from DNA of pure clones, like Boba and Omega. Even if they had the DNA, it would still take years to create a clone, they had months. That leaves Tech or Cody as the assassins possible identity. I hope it’s Tech. Not only because he’s a favorite charecter. But because of the irony that they got Tech when Crosshair got back.
This is a clone that is not like any other. The Empire has created a new generation of clone. Some how?!Seems to be based off Crosshair’s or other clones DNA, skills and abilities. Crosshair came close to nearly dying here

1. Crosshair could be lying to them about being “conditioned”
and 2. I said he could’ve started the program when he was still aligned with the Empire, not after he turned. Tech dies after Crosshair has already become imprisoned
3. Just because the conditioning didn’t work on Crosshair, even if he’s being truthful about being conditioned in the first place, doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work on Tech. It’s the same way in season 1, once Wrecker had a head injury, he became more susceptible to his programming. Tech fell from a great height, and could have suffered head injuries, leading him to be more susceptible to the programming, despite his defective tendencies. Even still, the Operative that we see is “defective” in the sense that he uses unconventional tactics and didn’t follow a single direct order.
Edit: also, your point about Crosshair and this guy having a history… uh, yeah, Tech and Crosshair have a history
@hp9351 the operative used unconventional tactics because he was clearly trained to operate that way. its become obvious that these assassins answer directly to hemlock, and is not required to listen to any other officer (hence him telling wolffe his unit is classified, as well as wolffe not even knowing that they were hunting clones)
I’m calling it now. The operative is Cody.
It’s probably a clone of Crosshair.
Almost like a Jason Bourne fight
2:18 GUYS GUYS I THINK THE ASSASSIN WASN’T TALKING ABOUT CROSSHAIR LEAVING THE EMPIRE BUT CROSSHAIR LEAVING THE BAD BATCH SO THIS HAS TO BE TECH HE EVEN SOUNDS LIKE HIM
If that is the case, then how tf did he survived that fall? Huh?
@@ErykRollPlot armor maybe
@@ErykRollMaybe just at the edge of the death? Just like Anakin who became vader? Don't trust the empire and their technology. It would be interesting.
Thats a stupid choice to bring him back
@@aleemizcool3654 especially for the final season of the show
The assassin clone has a backpack like the clone commandos wear. That raises the question of which clone commando it would be. Tech, Cody, Crosshair clone?
If it is a Crosshair clone, Crosshair is fighting his ”dark side”.
Crosshair sassy af😂😂😂
Picked that up from Omega, before, she was the one improvising and he was annoyed all the time
Let us take a moment and appreciate how the Bad Batch says, to hell with censorship’s, let’s almost drown someone
Aaand that's the second time he's almost drowned. Saved by his former adversary Howzer this time, saved by Omega on Kamino the first time (not THAT long after "aim for the kid") before repaying the favour.
Baptized and reborn of sorts? Only the first time, he still walked away from his squad.
(There's probably a few additional tons of symbolism that escapes me in this.)
Bro I swear they do the bad batch dirty in the CQC scenes
Bruh, did y'all see how FAST Hunter moved down that cliff when he sensed Crosshair was literally a breath away from dying?? He was the first one there to help Howzer pull Crosshair out of the water....you could tell he remembered Tech's death and had a panic attack. He doesn't want to lose another family member. Poor man was terrified.
It was Howzer that saved him
@@xxgamerxxyut7004 I know, but Hunter was right behind him and helped pull Cross out of the water, since Howzer had his other hand full with his blaster.
Hunter nearly had a heart attack and I can't blame him. You KNOW he vowed he wouldn't lose another family member again after Tech died and he ran himself ragged searching for Omega.
I'm scared of what that's going to look like when we get to the finale.
I believe it is Tech, they brainwashed him after they recovered him and trained him to be what crosshair was meant to be.
Sorry, but it couldn’t be. Crosshair explicitly mentioned that he didn’t get converted due to being defective, which means Tech couldn’t be converted either due to his own defective nature.
@@Crescent177not all defective clones are the same
Rex and the 501st are all considered defective clones because of their unorthodox methods hence why Anakin was their commanding officer
@@Jewfrosinjacody isn’t with Rex im Rebels tho so it could be him, I’d much rather it be him over Tech somehow coming back
I’ve been thinking about that line “you have your chance to be one of us” alot.
0:41 Sniper versus Sniper
01:34 Clone vs Clone
02:38 And Brother vs Brother
Cody, Tech, or a direct clone of Crosshair, given one only spoke to HIM alone.
We'll know for sure soon enough
I was hoping wrecker just emerged from the dark behind him and bane broke his back 🤣
Anyone else think this Shadow Clone is gonna end up being someone we know? My bets are on Dogma.
The operative reminds me of Alpha 17 ans Jango Fett. They also would execute the clones with little to no reason.
I have no doubt in my mind its tech, but at the same time, alot of people are saying its cody which ALSO makes alot of sense
0:41 Did someone noticed there is no heat sensor in his legs below knees? It looks like Assassin has cybernetic legs.
Nemec at *Least* could have survived honestly saw no reason for him not to
What if it's my boy Fordo. That'd be RAW as hell
When tech had a bunch of time he died so crosshair is def gonna die
Rex returns session 1 2 3
How personal this fight felt, it is one of the biggest things that makes me think it’s tech. But the “could of been one of us” line cancels that I feel
I legit was shaking and crying the entire time I was watching this scene for the first time. I didn’t stop shaking until 20 mins after the show needed 😂
I was like “not my ffavorite character pleeeaaase!!!” “NOOOOO CROSSHAIRRR!!!!!”
I’m torn on whether it’s Tech or Cody.
- He uses a knife like cody and it’d make sense why we’ve never seen cody since his last ep
-The theme that plays is very mechanical and techno, you can see where I’m going with that.
Shadow trooper is more Durable then Albert wesker.
Crosshair did Nemec dirty. He could've warned them about it right after Howzer asked "what is it?" because Crosshair already new CX-2 was coming.
That operative lowkey kinda cookin' crosshair 🔥🔥
Imagine this could be Mayday or Cody. Would be crazy. But if he’s no one we know it wouldn’t matter
Imagine that’s Tech in the suit.
Mf killed entire clones that Rex saved, wtf ? He killed Nemec too tf is this ? Being smashed by building remnants on the head and had only minor injured in the arm, wtf ?
crosshair is far better than clone operative at shooting skill.
Can anyone tell me when did Howzer managed to join the squad behind that door before the flamethrower blew those charges up? Bruh I thought he died right there or got crushed by the rubble. I never saw him make it to the door. Nemec I saw, RIP
I'm pretty sure it is Tech
If that operative is Cody it’s going to be really dark
Rebel vs Empire
I’m thinking it’s either Cody or tech
Hot take: The operative is a clone of Crosshair. He has the shooting skills similar to Crosshair and is an evil mirror image of Crosshair had he fully integrated into the Empire. Makes it all the more poetic if he was "fighting himself"
Crosshair would have taken the W had his hand not been damaged
I'm looking forward to seeing more imperial "mk ultra" soldiers.
I kinda doubt it’s Tech but he does have his signature limp but that could totally be unrelated
cody and tech are not combat type.
also, if it was cody, he don't talk to wolf like that.
well he would be brainwashed
Cody is and the combat type
I personally think it’s Tech. I reason this because he’s smart.. too smart. He knew to snipe the wiring on the table in episode 6 and knew what tech of the ship to shoot to take it down. Every step of the way I was thinking he’s too calculated and witty in everything he does.. even knowing he needed to close the distance after losing the long range rifle against crosshair. Way too intelligent for any other clone
Calling it now: the operative is Tech
Just finished this episode and came to see if anyone else had the same suspicion that the operative was Cody. Its a mixed bag, but I'm liking the convos going on. Only time will tell.
What if its cut the deserter?
Would be messed up if this was Cody.
I really hope that's Cody!
What if that operator is cody
If it's Cody then the chip is somehow making him even more cynical, if it's Tech then he really got a strength boost.
If this dude isn't an all new character created for the season then I'd hope he's Cody or Fox. Any of the three options will do.
I have a feeling that shadow trooper is Cody :(
They say, the Operative could be Reconstructed and Brainwashed Tec, I think it could be another Clone of Crosshair due to the combat skills and the accuracy of the sniper I think that the Empire can create clones of ex-clones that can have superior skills and treats.
Freakin Black Panther waterfall fight here
I thought that was tech💔🫣😭
Calling it now. It's Tech.
It's not. Stop it already.
Its gonna be tech isnt it
When will they catch up to kayleb doom and tell him it was the chips?
who tf is Kayleb Doom
It’s Cody. Tech wouldn’t beat Crosshair hand to hand. And Cody used the same vibro knife already last season.
Nemec’s death was so unnecessary :/
I bet its Crosshairs clone.
Crosshair came close to nearly dying here
Now that I know he has a knife, I'm starting to think its Cody,.
they cloned Crosshair
Hi Tech
Guys.. the operative isnt Cody. Cody will convince Wolffe. Cody is far more stronger than that fallen brother of imperial garbage.
