I think Sev is a more well rounded soldier who can handle more varied situations without his squad, whereas Crosshair is definitely built to be the sniper. Not saying he can't operate on his own, but I think in most situations CQC where he doesn't have his squad for assist, Sev would fuck him up. It's like a jack of all trades thing, sev may be best at sniping, but it isn't his gimic. As for crosshair he definitely operates less effectively when he doesn't have a good distance on his opponents. Especially without his squad because they balance each other out.
I'd make the argument that Crosshair only comes off as less well rounded due to how much better he is at sniping than anything else. They'd have the same training, so that rules that out as a defining factor in all around skill, but Sev could get the edge in the well rounded department due to how much more often he utilizes those skills, at which point it comes down to whether or not Crosshair's better marksman skills match up to that, and, counting his ability to use mirrors and ricochet's on the fly in close quarters, it might be enough.

Difference between Sev and Crosshair is Sev worked and grinned to become a great sharpshooter and Crosshair was genetically enhanced eye sight and depth perception. It’s like a gamer who worked his way up to be the best vs someone who used hacks and mods so it’s easy to see who’s the best overall Sev.
@@Litheeee So is Sev, if I recall correctly the Kaminoans were thinking of terminating him for his psychotic mind. Sev also saw into hyperspace so... yeah but, believe what you want
Bro are we going to just ignore that fact that Sev LITERALLY saw a Lucrehulk-class battleship FROM THE EDGE OF THE SYSTEM COMING AT THEM IN HYPERSPACE? It was in that one mission when Delta squad was in the Ghost ship
Sev may have a higher kill count but he was also alive before Crosshair and we haven't seen Crosshair in action except for in season 7 and the bad batch so we've only seen a very narrow window of a skill. But both are probably some of the best if not the best snipers in the GAR.
The title isn't quite accurate, since you yourself say at the beginning of the video that Crosshair (and by extension, the rest of Clone Force 99) was a Clone Commando (something which is canon). Then again, CF-99 having the CT designation in their "official" names might be a nod that they were originally bred as regular clone troopers, but due to the mutations, ended up being trained as commandos.
Sniper contracts 2 and Crosshair has made me realize that I’ve been sleeping on the role of snipers. They’re not just for taking out enemies long range. They’re meant to be the eyes of their groups. A mobile unit that can appear and disappear as soon as they’ve fired a shot. Capable in different fire arms and tactics.
People are saying sev for nostalgia. Crosshair is genetically inclined to be better than sev as he’s bred specifically with marksmanship in mind, with similar if not better training than sev. Crosshair 100% takes this
Sev possesses a stronger weapon than cross hair and is awesome at sniping while being a jack of all trades. Not to mention his armor is a lot tankier than crosshairs.
I'm not gonna lie. sev has a cooler name and armor, btw I only played republic commando and I don't know who this dude is, but I like sev armor more so he's stronger
Straight fight where its more than just long range sniping duel.. Sev wins. Not only because hes far more versatile than crosshair, who seemingly can only do sniping and.. thats basically it for his skillset - but also because Sev's armour is far superior and actually has a shield generator. That and, you know.. the CT designation kind of hints at Crosshair not receiving specialized commando training.
Crosshair was such an awesome character! I's so sad that he became a killer in the name of The empire. Being my favorite character, I feel betrayed that he eneded up killed by Hunter.
I wish we could have Delta Squad on screen. For awhile I got that it's difficult with them having stylized voices in the game, so "canonizing" their voices to be the same would be weird, but in TCW Dee Baker I think could do a solid impression of their original voices and pull it off.
@@lukedragan7859 I disagree you see all these weird and good angled shot that crosshair makes. Crosshairs more of a sniper whail sev is it more balanced out soldier and can be in different scenarios without being overwhelmed Crosshairs the better sniper. sev is an excellent sniper that's good in most combat situations
Sev would eat crosshair in all forms of combat except sniping... crosshair is a better sniper but if you put both in hand to hand combat or give both automatic blasters sev is the easy winner
Haha, the babysitter Batch. That's a good one! Yeah she can be too much sometimes. Crosshair-"Omega *pain* is what you are." Nicholas Damiani getting credit for this quote.
Delta has fended off an entire battleship of droids not to mention Boss who went solo into a storage compartment of supers and came out unscathed. Delta would destroy them.
i think its important to mention that, while sev and crosshair were both the best of the best in terms of sharpshooting, sev was on a next level in many other things too. in the game, hes seen wrestling and winning against geonosians and trandoshans with a scary amount of efficiency. sev was also the team medic as far as i remember, and of course, his rifle was a lot more versatile in the general direction of what a rifle can do (sharpshooting, heavy armory, high fire rate) while crosshair just has a lot of different sniper specific calibrations. if its just about being the best sniper, crosshair might get more accurate shots, but in a general fight, sev just has too much utility that he can go back on while crosshair just... doesnt have much going for him beyond being accurate
As an *ardent* Crosshair fan but also being a pragmatist, I believe you are correct. Sev is larger than Cross in stature (larger frame), so in hand to hand there is no way my man could get one over on Sev. Plus his CC armor seems more resilient & therefore more protective. And although Hunter (also larger than Crosshair) wasn't all in when he & Cross went hand to hand in the episode Return to Kamino, he still *easily* kept him in check & on the ground. But will *always* love Crosshair.
+Geetsly’s I would have to disagree with that statement. Crosshair did manage to hit wrecker when he engaged the bad batch in a firefight in the hangar bay shortly after having his chips programming was intensified.
@@geetslys Cracks me up when fans call him a traitor or claim he betrayed his squad. Umm, two words for them: Enhanced Chip. Also I don't think Crosshair's chip was removed as he believes. Why then would they constantly show Cross touching his head in pain.

@@JR-eu8ck yes I know what happens mate that's why I said most but lore wise most of they tried to leave and many were killed by darts vader etc in the attempt
Oh that, would be interesting alright. Perhaps in Season 2, especially since we only got to enjoy the Delta's for about 30 seconds in TCW. Feel like the CC fans were cheated. Although at the same time I don't want to lose any Batchers.
To be fair. Crosshair not only has a longer gun, but also uses a deeper scope AND uses a rangefinder. Sev lacks these advantages so I'd like to see crosshair try and use the actual commando sniper and put his rangefinder away.
Crosshair is probably a better sniper in terms of temperament as well since Sev's desire for more kills is an active detriment to what a sniper usually needs to do. I still like Sev more though.
That was used with tech. He set it up then just shot a designated point to start the ricochet. Crosshair repeatedly misses the Bad Batch. Sev doesn’t need the help of tech.
He means in the Clone Wars season 7. Crosshair literally just ran down a hallway throwing disks every which way and killing an entire batallian of droids without Tech.@connordorman117
I think crosshair has the advantage of being in a newer show. If they made a new republic commando game or show sev would probably be just as good as crosshair is.
There are even accounts of Sev mauling other clones that talked shit about his instructor in the Clone Commando Books so yeah.. i guess in Barfight Scenario he's on top. I also quite like to imagine Sev in overwatch as the squad moves in, while giving covering fire spotting a flock of geonosians going... *tasty* .. as he flings a few slugs their way ^^
Forget the hallway scene. We shouldn't overlook the fact that Crosshair could just as easily kill foes up close with a sniper rifle as easily as he could from longer distances. Distance is barely a factor to this guy.
@@connordorman117 No. I am referring to the Skako Minor mission. When they reached the entrance to Echo's containment room, Crosshair took down multiple droids up close with his sniper rifle.
@@nathanielgrindstaff4909 ah I thought you were talking about the trick he does to mess with Wrecker. I still prefer Sev, Sev was the pride of the Kamenoans and his trainers. He’s a sniper but also a hunter and generally stealthy and brutal in close quarters melee. I prefer Delta Squad in general.
Crosshair is the civilized toothpick man who just deals business heads, multiple for the price of one shot. Sev was the bug exterminator which lol Geonosians were told to behave themselves. He probably gave Trandos the spooks as well.
In my opinion Crosshair is the better sniper however Sev is the better soldier, since he can have a more flexible role (sniper, hand to hand combat, different types of weaponry etc). Even though Sev sounds more psychopathic he also as more loyalty to his squadmates than Crosshair (in my opnion) you can see that Crosshair even before order 66 had small arguments with Hunters decisions while Sev never questioned Boss orders. So while I do think Crosshair would win in a sniper fight I would trust Sev far more as a squad member thanks to his flexible roles and better equipment for missions
In old cannon Sev was the most decorated sniper the Republic had to offer. Also note how dark both sev and crosshair are, Snipers must take the war personal asf...SPOILER..... R.I.P. 07
Considering that in the video game Sev saw a ship at the edge of the system... in hyperspace I'm inclined to believe that he has far better eyesight then Crosshair.

Among the clones we know for sure participated, Rex and Appo are the only non-commander clones present and they didn't get promoted after passing. Commanders have different ranks themselves so his connection to Anakin is the only way I can explain Rex acting as a senior clone commander despite being a captain. This could be handwaved by a simple line mentioning other 501st commanders but as it stands, Rex was the highest ranking clone in the whole legion before the battle for Mandalore.
RC-1207 continues to excel in sniper and ambush training. However, please recheck DNA for possible mental aberration.
-RC Batch Delta:Report: W Vau, training sergeant
Only time cross hair missed was when he didn’t wanna get the bad batch 🤷♂️
Difference between Sev and Crosshair is Sev worked and grinned to become a great sharpshooter and Crosshair was genetically enhanced eye sight and depth perception. It’s like a gamer who worked his way up to be the best vs someone who used hacks and mods so it’s easy to see who’s the best overall Sev.
Based on that, crosshair is superior solely based on the fact that he’s just genetically built different.
Consideration that Sev didnt need mutations beyond the standard clone alterations, i think he wins
Obviously, Crosshair and Sev being in a sniper team or something like that would mean no dawn and no hope for whoever they’re aiming at
lol indeed
I think that crosshair is awesome and, in my opinion, so much better than sev. He is my favorite bad batch member.
Who needs mutated clones when there's clone commandos
They are technically mutated though.
The commandos? I thought they were just trained a lot more harshly than other clones according to what I read.
@@jehucox9490 no they did have some enhancements.
The problem with crosshair it's that he usually fires at enemies with plot armour. Ando nothing beats plot armour
Hi. I like Crosshair better. Thank you for coming up with this.
Somehow he comes up with a new video idea each week idk how he does it!
Actually, four video ideas a week, lol! And that is really flattering, so thank you!
Heck yes! Sev is the man!
Crosshair was such an awesome character! I's so sad that he became a killer in the name of The empire.
Being my favorite character, I feel betrayed that he eneded up killed by Hunter.
Hunter stunned him so that they could bring him along to escape. Hunter did not kill crosshair
I wish we could have Delta Squad on screen. For awhile I got that it's difficult with them having stylized voices in the game, so "canonizing" their voices to be the same would be weird, but in TCW Dee Baker I think could do a solid impression of their original voices and pull it off.
It would go so hard if Sev came back in bad batch season 2 and him and crosshair became rivals
Crosshairs is the better sniper, Sev is the better killer.
Almost perfectly said
Being honest Delta would wipe the floor with the bad batch. Heck, they cant even pull off a treasure hunt
My money is on Sev, but I'm pretty Biased.
Nostalgia always comes into play
@@neofulcrum5013 yep even though I really do think Sev would beat crosshair, even without me being completely biased
@@lukedragan7859 I disagree you see all these weird and good angled shot that crosshair makes.
Crosshairs more of a sniper whail sev is it more balanced out soldier and can be in different scenarios without being overwhelmed
Crosshairs the better sniper.
sev is an excellent sniper that's good in most combat situations
Sev would eat crosshair in all forms of combat except sniping... crosshair is a better sniper but if you put both in hand to hand combat or give both automatic blasters sev is the easy winner
Delta squad show would’ve been so much better than the babysitter batch
Haha, the babysitter Batch. That's a good one! Yeah she can be too much sometimes. Crosshair-"Omega *pain* is what you are." Nicholas Damiani getting credit for this quote.
Babysitter Batch. Chuckle.
My favorite Sniper in the whole Republic army is Sev. It's partly ascetic, but his sense of humor also cracks me up.
So crosshair is basically A boomer version of Sev in canon
I think if they both fight I think the Bad Batch would win because they have an extra member and they're all genetically modified clones
Delta has fended off an entire battleship of droids not to mention Boss who went solo into a storage compartment of supers and came out unscathed. Delta would destroy them.
"Crosshair's moods ranged from cranky to bored." 😂😂😂
@1:19 are you threatening me, Master Jedi?
i think its important to mention that, while sev and crosshair were both the best of the best in terms of sharpshooting, sev was on a next level in many other things too.
in the game, hes seen wrestling and winning against geonosians and trandoshans with a scary amount of efficiency. sev was also the team medic as far as i remember, and of course, his rifle was a lot more versatile in the general direction of what a rifle can do (sharpshooting, heavy armory, high fire rate) while crosshair just has a lot of different sniper specific calibrations.
if its just about being the best sniper, crosshair might get more accurate shots, but in a general fight, sev just has too much utility that he can go back on while crosshair just... doesnt have much going for him beyond being accurate
Nostalgia ain’t gonna blind me crosshair gots this
Crosshair does seem to miss when aiming at any member of The Bad Batch. Maybe the show will say it's him fighting the inhibitor chip.
+Geetsly’s
I would have to disagree with that statement. Crosshair did manage to hit wrecker when he engaged the bad batch in a firefight in the hangar bay shortly after having his chips programming was intensified.
@@geetslys 2 words plot armor
@@geetslys Cracks me up when fans call him a traitor or claim he betrayed his squad. Umm, two words for them: Enhanced Chip. Also I don't think Crosshair's chip was removed as he believes. Why then would they constantly show Cross touching his head in pain.
My prediction for the end of season 1 of the Bad Batch is they get Crosshair back & remove his inhibitor chip, and Tarkin/Rampart enlist Delta Squad to take them down
dealt spuad did not fallow order 66
most commandos and arcs didnt follow order 66 ehich led to a tragic amount being killed
@@afriendlycadian9857 watch episode 14 of the bad batch 😂
@@JR-eu8ck yes I know what happens mate that's why I said most but lore wise most of they tried to leave and many were killed by darts vader etc in the attempt
Oh that, would be interesting alright. Perhaps in Season 2, especially since we only got to enjoy the Delta's for about 30 seconds in TCW. Feel like the CC fans were cheated. Although at the same time I don't want to lose any Batchers.
Crosshair wins because he has the power of maths
scorch: why wont they die already
sev: well this wouldn't take so long if you could aim!
Skip to 1:21 for the long range and safe action ahead.
I gotta give it to Crosshair. Especially after that shot he made in the finale.
The kaminoins probably need omaga’s DNA to make jek-14 the force sensitive clone
7:02 This man look so proud of himself. As he should be
To be fair. Crosshair not only has a longer gun, but also uses a deeper scope AND uses a rangefinder. Sev lacks these advantages so I'd like to see crosshair try and use the actual commando sniper and put his rangefinder away.
I just remembered that Delta Squad is still canon
They appeared in clone wars all 4 of them so yea
Plus we did see scorch again in the last episode we had
They did say that Sev was the best sniper in the GAR. Just putting that out there.
Crosshair is probably a better sniper in terms of temperament as well since Sev's desire for more kills is an active detriment to what a sniper usually needs to do. I still like Sev more though.
Sev probably has more kills just because he was fighting organics a lot more
what about droids
Crosshair does that reflector thing down the hallway.... aint nobody gonna beat that
That was used with tech.
I like both crosshair and sev.
I think crosshair has the advantage of being in a newer show. If they made a new republic commando game or show sev would probably be just as good as crosshair is.
Funny this video gets made today because I was literally playing Republic Commando while watching Geetsley’s when the video was uploaded.
Id pick crosshair tbh
There are even accounts of Sev mauling other clones that talked shit about his instructor in the Clone Commando Books so yeah.. i guess in Barfight Scenario he's on top.
I also quite like to imagine Sev in overwatch as the squad moves in, while giving covering fire spotting a flock of geonosians going... *tasty* .. as he flings a few slugs their way ^^
good video hard to say who was better sev or crosshair
Except when you have nostalgia.
In episode 14, War Mantle, it is made clear that the Bad Batch are CTs not CCs.
Are there any force sensitive snipers? Seems like that would make for an super deadly sniper
Darth Bane prior to being a Sith Lord used the Force to help him snipe Republic troopers. Not sure If that is still cannon though.
@@TheLastKentuckyIrregular9524 If so, that's pretty cool
In E.U a Teepo Paladins is basicaly a jedi with a blaster instead a ligthsaber.
But they are E.U ...
I bet Crosshair played a mean game of billiards.
Uhm- crosshair was capable of shooting a precise target from 10 kilometers
Yes. Jaing told me so.
Sev has more experience and better armor. But crosshair is probably more accurate
So pure mandalorian vs an off brand Reg? Is this even a question?
Forget the hallway scene. We shouldn't overlook the fact that Crosshair could just as easily kill foes up close with a sniper rifle as easily as he could from longer distances. Distance is barely a factor to this guy.
If you’re talking about the ricochet seen he was given time for setup.
@@connordorman117 Well, I can't fault you there. I've grown very fond of the Bad Batch myself but I too will always admire and respect Delta Squad.
@@nathanielgrindstaff4909 as the saying goes, to each his own. Everyone has their preferences so there ain’t no shame in preferring Bad Batch.
Idk it’s canon now that crosshair can’t consistently hit a target ten yards away
But he can hit a ship like a mile away on it’s engine traveling at hundreds of mph
@@captaincole4511 maybe target size is a thing
He cant hit the bad batch cuz plot armor
There isn’t enough screen time or lore evidence on Sev’s skill for this to be a fair debate.
inb4 biased but Sev by far. After all, Sev was the best overall shooter in the GAR and still would schwack Crosshair.
Sev my favorite clone still to this day he holds number 1 spot!
Crosshair is the civilized toothpick man who just deals business heads, multiple for the price of one shot. Sev was the bug exterminator which lol Geonosians were told to behave themselves. He probably gave Trandos the spooks as well.
Next you should do hunter vs boss that would be awsome
your sponsor intro was......abnormal but still kinda makes me want blinkist
Lol, mission accomplished!
I agree with your analysis but there isn't a character I like more. I like them equally. They're both great characters
R.I.P. 07
Though, we don't truly know if he is dead
@@communistpotato3204 thats true
We gotta love our *gray* characters
Considering that in the video game Sev saw a ship at the edge of the system... in hyperspace I'm inclined to believe that he has far better eyesight then Crosshair.
Just a little tip. They are magazines not clips
