A godsend. Renting for 5 days before hopefully purchasing a 4 Runner. Had no idea how blind I would have been without this tutorial. Only now can I enjoy the experience. Many thanks, Brian.
If you buy a Toyota 4 Runner SR5, you will never go back to another vehicle. i bought one, and then i bought a second one for more features. LOL. i no longer use the plow service to plow my driveway. i have pulled snow plows out on my street.
Wow... what a video. I just bought a brand new one on Sunday, and my old car was a 2006. Everything (features) were all new to me. Might as well been in a different language. This video basically answered 99% of my questions. I bought a vehicle with features I really didn't understand. Great job with the video, and much appreciated. I feel much better driving it now.
Great tutorial! I have a 2017 4R-SR5 and I am an old man driving more than 50yrs and of all the vehicles I have owned/driven over the years, the 4Runner is by far the best I have ever experienced!
Great video! I would be in a 4 runner now if it wasn’t for the crazy gas prices. Brian is my salesman and is a great point of contact if you are looking to purchase a Toyota. Thanks for all your help Brian!
Thanks Rob! It’s always great to hear from you! When the hybrid TNGA-F 4Runners come out, I already know I’ll be getting a call! I’m always here to help.
81,000,000 people voted to get screwed by the democrats. Vote Trump in 2024 and you will love driving a gasoline vehicle. Stopping Fossil fuels was ignorant. Created a catastrophic inflation world wide.
Thank you. I just bought a used 2021 4Runner from a neighbor. I need to figure out how to reset the computer to factory settings and erase the previous owner's data. Hopefully it's in the owner's manual. Great video. :)
Thank you! I just got a 4Runner rental car and was clueless on the features, how they work and where they are located. Your video will let me set it up to my preferences before a long road trip. Thank you
Once again you have done a very solid video. I am getting a 2022 in mid June.. hopefully sooner.. LOL and I have watched a lot of videos and yours was great and worthy of a comment.
Have to say thanks for sharing the cruise button... I didn't know the 4Runner could disable the Adaptive Cruise and just run in a standard mode. How nice that is! Wish it had lane assist.
Brian, I was looking for a white TRD Sport 4runner. But its slim pickings out there. I ended up with a grey Limited 2022 and it was the only 4runner on the lot in the biggest Toyota dealer in the east (Toyota of Hollywood FL). I love it. Its pure luxury and the ventilated seats are so good here in Florida. The ride is incredible. Many dont think of 4runners as a luxury vehicle but when you drive a Limited, it sure feels that way. I found your video here helpful.
Great videos man! Very informative! Is there a way to turn on all interior lights (front and back) from the driver’s seat rather than pushing the button on each individual light?
NICE-- THANKS-- I'm thinking of buying somewhere from 2010 to 2018 SR5.... I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles on the TURD (play on trd- I love these trucks--- just fun)..
We love our 2022 Toyota 4runner TRD Pro. Thank you, Brian, for great tutorials. I do have one question. If my husband gets out of the car and he takes the key fob with him how can I roll down my windows from the inside? There should be a way that I could roll down my windows Windows without having the key nearby. This may sound like a stupid question but I never see that addressed in tutorials.
Nice truck! Thanks for watching. I think there might be a custom program you can get done at the dealer but I’ve never seen this option on a Toyota. My 03 Honda accord had the feature.
This is from Google and may help: “To take a 2012 Toyota 4Runner out of overdrive, you typically need to turn off the overdrive function. Here's how you can do it: 1. **Locate the Overdrive (O/D) Button**: The O/D button is usually located on the gear shift lever. It might be labeled as "O/D" or have an icon of a gear or a "D" with a circle around it. 2. **Press the O/D Button**: Press the button to turn off overdrive. When overdrive is off, the O/D OFF indicator light on the dashboard should illuminate. 3. **Verify**: Check the dashboard to see if the "O/D OFF" light is on. This light indicates that the overdrive function is deactivated. Turning off overdrive can help improve engine braking and may be useful when driving in hilly or mountainous terrain. To reactivate overdrive, simply press the O/D button again, and the indicator light should go off.”
Thanks for the great video! Do you know how to stop the horn from honking when you lock or unlock the car? Not good to have the horn honk while camping/hunting. Neighbors don’t like it when it honks at 4 am when I leave either.
I’ve never heard a Toyota honk the horn unless you mean the “beep” when it’s locked and double beep when unlocked To remove that, go to (on screen): Menu>settings>vehicle settings>vehicle customization>door lock settings>beep volume Hope that helps! Let me know if you found it
@@brianruperti I found it and fixed the beep. Thank you. I think the honk has to do with the alarm. I will contact the person who installed the alarm. Thanks again!
Did they also upgrade the puddle lights to leds? Think it's overall worth an upgrade from a 2015? Does it allow wireless Android auto or does it have to be plugged into that usb?
How do l make my step to release when I open the doors ?. it stopped coming out when I open the door and this car is so high I need those steps to get off safely. 😩
Thanks! I just subscribed, and I'm about to purchase a 2022 4Runner. I'm coming from a 2007 Rav4 V6 Sport AWD. Question for you, on The Rav4 it has Decent control and you must be stopped and in Low Gear to activate, and it limits the speed to 5 MPH. How is it activated on The 4Runner? I could not get it to work when I test drove it?
DAC is not working, I put it in 4Lo and 1st gear? The indicator light on the dash is flashing and does not go solid? Also I'm not sure if "A TRAC" is working? I don't see any indicator on the dash to confirm that it is working? I put it in 4LO and pressed the button but I don't see any indicator light, any thoughts?
is the music menu on the dashboard on option added on all 4runners? i have a 2022 new 4runner and it doesn't have that setting to show the artist while i'm driving
On the left side of the steering wheel... "up" goes down to the next station preset and "down" goes up. Is there a way to reverse this in settings? e.g. if you are on radio station Preset 2 and push the "up" arrow on the steering wheel control, it changes to Preset 1. This seems counterintuitive.
@@brianruperti Ya. Picked up a 2023 ORP last week and am just getting used to it. People have commented that the volume controls - being "left/ right" - should have been designed as "up/down" but I never saw anything about the arrows.
