    Thats a lot of great boats, i would be happy with just one of them. I didnt make that purchase when i was younger, couldnt justify paying that much for a toy im gonna use at most 5 months out the year. Good Luck with everything

    If you had the option to pay off your boat would you? Knowing that you would you possibly sell it and upgrade. Currently financing my Malibu ride 21 but things have made it possible to pay off remaining balance. Just trying to see if it’s worth paying off completely or waiting until I eventually sell and upgrade.

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад +2

      Good question. Yes, I would definitely pay it off. Regardless of whether you plan to upgrade or not, you will be paying less in the end when you dont have a loan. Even if it's a short time.

    How much did you buy the 2014 23LSV for and how much did you sell it for? Curious about the depreciation. I've been trying to find more info on wake boat deprecation before I buy one but it's hard to find.

    • @ronconblack12
      @ronconblack12 4 года назад +1

      I saw your other video about boat loans, but I don't want to go upside down on a loan, but I don't know how much depreciation to expect. I'd be buying used.

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад +1

      I bought it for $95k in 2015 and sold it for $80k in April of 2017, but I gave the guy a smoking deal. If I would've held out until June I could've got another 5k easy.

    Great video. I am upgrading to the 2020 Supra SE 550 have learn a lot from your videos. The walk Thur transom is a must for us. Supra has a option for a filler cushion so you can still have your sun deck. This is my first wake sport boat. Old boat is a 2014 Yamaha 212x and have a lot to learn for the difference between the two boats. But keep up the great videos.

      Mathew Pruett you will love it! My previous boat was a Yamaha AR192 and last year we upgraded to our first vdrive 2019 Moomba Max and love it! Handling takes a little getting used to but night and day better than the jet in every regard IMO! No regrets switching from jet to prop/vdrive!

      Mathew Pruett heck yea! Do the factory tour in Maryville, TN if you can and try to time it with your spray date if you're getting it custom built. That is what we did and it was awesome seeing how the boats were hand built and go through each station. I got to see mine just as they were doing the finishing touches to the interior and of course a few pics of the build process along the way. They love to give demos and if you go you'll likely have a tour with Drew Tinker and he's an awesome dude! Excited for you and jumping straight into a 2020 Supra for your first vdrive....WOW! You're going to love it and I feel Skiers Choice makes some of the best boats in the wake boat industry. Enjoy it sir! 👍

    question here.. I am moving to Florida (Destin area) I am looking into boats what type of boat do you recommend?? a wake boat or a center console I will be using it to mainly entertain my friends and go to the sand bars and crab island on the weekends I??

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад

      Hi Garret, Destin is a cool place. I would always go for a wakeboat before any other type of boat myself, but I don't know much about wakeboats with the ocean. I'm assuming they are not great for the open ocean so if you plan on going out into the gulf as opposed to staying in bays or lakes then center console is probably the way to go.

    Great video. I'm just getting into my research and you're definitely the most knowledgeable person I've seen. I'm debating between a 2013 Axis A20 or 2013 MB F21 Tomcat. What's your opinion on these boats?

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад

      Thank you Jeff! In 2013 those 2 boats are very comparable. If you were looking at an Axis equipped with surf gate there would be not question, I would say go with Axis. Because they are very comparable I say go with your gut. If you can somehow up your budget to an Axis with surf gate, do it.

    My son just started selling Super Air Nautique at Lake of the Ozarks. I was looking at ways he could capitalize on his new venture. Although you own another line, do you have any tips for a new salesman that could help him have the best time ever?

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  2 года назад +1

      Awesome, I actually currently own a 2022 Nautique G23. This video is from a a couple years ago when I owned a Malibu 24 MXZ. I think my biggest tip is just make sure you are checking on your potential customers often. Also, do your best to learn a lot about the features of these boats, there will be lots of questions. Try not to ask questions where the client can answer with a no. Take every opportunity to get behind the boat so you can understand the wants and needs of the customer. Hope this helps.

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад +1

      Hi Jason, I think it seems like a nice boat. Centurion definitely seems to have a premium wave these days, especially if you are looking for length.

      @jasonjoel800 4 года назад +1

      @@wake_mann thanks for the reply. I'm a little concerned about bow rise and being able to see while sitting down. Have you seen anyone complain about that in the opti v hull series?

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад

      I don't know much about bow rise specific to centurion, but in my experience bow rise is pretty much essential to a great wave. The power seat on my boat has the ability to sit you very high. I've heard the G23 does great with minimum bow rise but has a crap wave compared to Malibu. Just my 2 cents.

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  4 года назад

      Hi Taylor, it's normally a 5 to 6 month season for me but I go during a few months when most wont touch the water, April, early May, and late September. Normally people just do June through August here, but you just need and appropriate suit and some motivation to make it a 6 month season.

      @@wake_mann Heck yes I've been looking for it since I saw your vid and can't find it! Lol. Side note...I'm looking to buy a wakeboat this year, 2015-2020 range. Looking at Malibu, ATX, Tige and Moomba. Mainly wake but surf options as well. Any thoughts? Lots of Wakesetters out there, but there's LSV, MLX, VLX, etc.

    • @wake_mann
      @wake_mann  2 года назад

      All 3 Malibu models are great but obviously the bigger the boat the bigger the wake and wave. I think in the range of years you are looking at there isnt much that will disappoint you. Obviously i prefer Malibu from the brands you listed but obviously comes at a higher price than the others typically. Good luck!
