- In this video I install and review the new Eufy Security Floodlight Cam 2 Pro that has a full controllable 360 degree camera. This particular floodlight is made by Anker. Unlike many other products, this one does not require a monthly subscription to be able to review your footage as it has 8GB of internal storage. Cloud subscriptions are available if desired though. These features can really add another level of security that I have not found with other cameras. But how well do they work?

A year ago, I thought Eufy would be king. But lately, it’s kinda evident that Reolink runs the show. Everything they’ve been putting out lately eclipses the competition. The only thing I genuinely like about this camera is the ability to change its color temperature. Everyone should follow suit.
Another great video. I no longer use Ring products due to the lack of privacy. I have a Eufy doorbell and really like it so I'll be looking into this floodlight camera. Thanks for the review.
This was my first Eufy product but I was really impressed with it. I will definitely be considering them in the future. I would assume that their doorbell has the same quality. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
This is great! Thank you once again. Much appreciated! Love and blessings from Ontario Canada.
You are welcome! Glad you liked it. Take care!
Sir I like your videos it so helpful ❤
Thank you. Well done!
Nice video. Have this coming to my house today and will be installing it over the weekend. Thanks for the tips and info.
Awesome! This is probably my favorite camera on the house. Hope you enjoy it!
How big is this thing? It looks huge. Does it have a siren? If so, how loud is it, decibes?
This is my next purchase. Thanks for the review and install tutorial
Absolutely! We love ours! Thanks for the feedback!
Can I connect this to home base 3 for face detection (AI)? No 4K resolution? Thanks for the video
I have a question sir!! what about if somebody walking and the camera start to recording him. than somebody else come from another opposite side. is the camera will turn to record him too or no? you know some thieves are smart!
Nice camera.. if you use a junction box or something to get the lights and camera lower, you won’t have so much glare or haze at night.. the lights are reflecting back at the camera lens, which causes that effect.
If my junction box does not have a bare copper wire, do i connect the eufy ground wire to the screw of mounting bracket that's labeled ground?
Hello. From what I read regarding the specs of this system it operates on 120-240VAC. However I’ve seen some advertisements state it’s 120VAC. So please tell me what your system has stamped on it. Thank you in advance.
Great video, thank you.
You’re welcome Eddy! Appreciate the feedback.
Great video! I'm trying to decide which cameras & floodlights to get. How well does this integrate with Alexa or Google Home, can it trigger automations? i.e. motion detection triggers my porch light and driveway lights to turn on between certain times and turn off after a set time period. My Ring doorbell used to do it perfectly, but I got rid of Ring and have ADT's new Nest doorbell. It is set up to do it but it won't actually trigger the automation because ADT won't play nice with home assistants. If I test the automation in Alexa app it works but ADT's Nest doorbell won't do it.
Thanks for the informative video. How long does it take from detecting motion to activating on your phone? Does it connect direct to home WiFi or does it have a base station?
It is instant for me and this one connects directly to my wifi. Thanks for the feedback!
Eufy should add bug zappers on the floodlights to have fewer bugs in the video picture. And also, make the floodlights motorized so we don't need to get the ladder in our garage. We can control it through the mobile app.
A bug zapper would definitely be a welcomed added feature!
Just discovered your channel 👍🏼 I just bought this camera to install on my existing floodlights. The floodlights i have are powered by two three way switches. If the switches are off I'm sure the cameras and light will not work. Is there a way to wire these to allow the camera to continue working but not have the lights on all the time or what if I want the lights on because I'm outside. Thanks.
Gonna have to go back and watch the video on how to run power to the outside for lighting! Great job. Nice product. How much is it?
Glad you liked it! Right now I think it is right at $300. I have a link in the description if you want to check it out.
Amazon is currently offering a $50 coupon at check out for this product.
Oh awesome! Thanks for the heads up Greg!
Hi just wondering if this camera can be wired up using a plug to put into wall socket instead of hardwiring it into home . Thanks
I am sure one could rig something up to do that but it’s not designed that way.
How is this during the harsh winter months and hot summer days?
Can’t speak personally for winter as I’m in the South but Summer gets extremely hot and this isn’t affected by it.
@@HowToHomeDIY Do you know the dimensions of the mount?
How would the tracking work if two people are in the camera's view? Will it prioritize one person over the other?
Well usually when there have been two people they are always together. But it does seem to prioritize whatever is showing the most motion. I have noticed this when we have deer in the yard.
I love mine
Caution, do not use these cameras if you care about your data. They were exposed to have been uploading pictures and performing facial recognition on them to their servers hosted in China.
With the app, can you have multiple people with access to the app and cameras?
Yes you can
@@HowToHomeDIY thanks bro!
Can you talk to people at your door through this camera?
You can.
Does it notify you a live feed when motion is detected???
It can yes.
I find it rather silly that Eufy does not make this specific mode with a 24/7 recording option.
its not battery operated, there is no need for it to be detection event recording only
Anyone have experience paying someone to install this for you? If so what service did you use? An electrician or Angie's list or what have you?
I would think electrician
I been having problems with my eufy 360’ All day long all good but at night just can not see anything!!! I been cleaning but next night will be block the vision not detecting motion. 😭
That's odd. What is getting on it?
@@HowToHomeDIY We don’t know! Because in Day time the imagen quality it’s good. I wish I post some pictures. Probably this days I will call customer service. We still don’t have a year with it

Good video. But it would have been more informative if you talked about Monitoring prices? Do they have good customer service? Can you upload video or is it stored on SD card? Does company charge for storage? What is the detection distance of the camera and lights? I Love the features you pointed out better than the competition, but many of us don't like monthly fees to be able to see our video.
As a owner of numerous ring products I totally get wanting to get away from the monthly subscriptions! With this camera you get 8 GB of internal storage. So you do not have to pay a subscription fee to be able to review your footage. They do offer cloud storage as an option if someone decides they want it. I just use the internal storage personally and have weeks of footage I can go back and review. I have not had a lot of contact with them as a company but the little that I have had they have been helpful and responsive. I appreciate the feedback!
@@HowToHomeDIY Thank You for answering my questions? I'm trying to find a good camera system. In the end I may go with a hardwired system. Changing/regarging batteries, pulling out and SD card to review, and monthly fees all add Money to the overall maintenance cost. A hardwired system has built in HD hard drive. Stores more hours than I need and if wifi goes out it still works. Many hardwired systems have lasted for years. Where rechargeable or battery powered device will need to be replaced. Or new purchased. In the long run these type systems cost more money. Though the one you reviewed is hardwired, I just don't like monthly fees or swapping out SD cards. Your video helped a lot 🙂
All of the reasons you gave are some reasons why I got this one. It is hard wired, no monthly fees, and there aren't any SD cards. It is all internal memory and once it fills up it just overwrites the earliest recordings like a standard hard wired system does. As far as floodlight cams go, this one checked a lot of my boxes. But if you are wanting to store months of footage then you would need more than 8GB. I am glad the video was helpful! If you have any other questions I will try to answer them the best I can.
@@HowToHomeDIY Thank You I do have a question. When you say internal storage no SD card, how is information transferred? Through the app?. Can you transfer to a thumb drive if you had an event, like a break-in? Or is all data transfered to the app? And if so, this is free of charge? If so I may be interested in this system. Because like you I already have auto flood lights installed around my house 🏠
I bought this floodlight camera few months back then it stopped connecting to wifi and eufy won't replace it be careful spending 300 on this thing
Odd. I’ve had mine like 2 years now and still works perfectly.
I had mine replaced 4 times do to offline to many times it goes off line to many times for some reason they still don't know why
Very odd. I honestly have had zero issues with mine. Maybe your wifi signal is too weak for its location.
This company was caught uploading videos to the cloud unencrypted even though they claimed they would not do that
Now does it run off Wi-Fi
This one does yes
That camera is garbage. After the camera did a software upgrade the new software make the camera unusable. Lose connection, no picture. I had to but buy a different camera after I paid 300$. STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY PRODUCT.
Sorry to hear about your experience. So far I have done every update and it still works the same as it did when I installed it.
My question is do you have to pay monthly in order to have the camera recording 24/7
No
