- Overseeding can’t be a daunting task… and it is haha. It’s great to do though if your lawn needs some fill in spots and areas that need more grass. I definitely recommend using a scarifyer as well as an aerater. These two things can be rented or borrowed from a buddy who owns a landscape business.

Thank you! Yes it will you’re right but I just wanted to fill in some areas that were bare and aerate the whole yard.
I overseeded my front with perennial ryegrass, my back yard with TTTF.

@@TheLawngestYard I rolled un the reno I did in spring for front yard, & put dressing. Came in ok, but some parts still didn't grow? I did pregerminates seed for backyard in early spring, took awhile, but noticed the difference. Spread it with no cover.

Great video! What kind of leaf sweeper did you get? I need to get one to pick up the thatch. Ha ha funny enough I also dethatched with my son on a carrier 😂
that is funny. It is fun for them I think... It is the earthwise leaf sweeper. Really like it.

I just did mine thus Monday. Hopefully it turns out OK. I'm spring 2024. I'll overseed again hoping for a green yard this year. If not, i quit lol

Our lawn was done late 2019 after our home was built. Would you suggest getting the Sunjoy and hitting the lawn with it and the scarifier before I overseed here in Indiana. Love the channel.
Hey! Yes I would always recommend doing it this time of year. Since your lawn is established you can always dethatch or scarify and add seed to it. What kind of seed are you going to use?
@@TheLawngestYard I am doing a 50/50 mix of KBG and Perennial Ryegrass. Used it last season and loved it. Got from our local AgPlus.

Yes I did! I did a massive seeding last spring but I still need to fill in some areas

Yeah, I’ve effectively been marketed by the n-Ext line of products, got the soil sample and working on some soil amendment to get my numbers right

tenacity after you seed?? wont that prevent germination?
Yeah you can do it after you seed for sure! Mesotrione is the actual chemical name and it’s safe to use for grass seed
