*Story 1:* It's beyond unacceptable that management would neglect maintenance of company vehicles. Clearly they don't care about the worker's safety, otherwise they would.
@@princessmarlena1359 Honestly I'm sure there's tons of reports to OSHA, amongst many other regulatory bodies and even countless horror stories told on places like glass door. The problem is with just how wildly vast and established of a company amazon is, they're very good at skirting the rules, throwing money at problems and ultimately getting away with such things. one of the best examples revolves around how amazon manages/coordinates their entire delivery supply chain structure, as it absolutely enables these sorts of issues with a lot less liability and or obligatory/expectation of indemnification. As they've managed to regularly pass the buck, putting all said responsibility to the numerous outsourced 3rd party couriers and logistics companies they use as much as they do. As they often times straight up utilize these 3rd parties for both their cheaper labor, but more importantly treat them like liability shields. Since whenever something egregious like this or many other shady circumstances come to light, they'll throw a given 3rd party under the bus, claim total ignorance and say they don't have direct control over said 3rd party company's operations. Which is kind of funny, as they don't even actually keep their hands clean enough to reasonably claim plausible deniability, as a lot of the times these shady operating practices literally are direct mandates from amazon. I mean I'm sure eventually after enough litigation and further evidence, it will all come back down on them, but honestly even when it does, they likely can more than afford to deal with it themselves, but as of now they're doing all they can to distance themselves from all the shady delivery practices by claiming ignorance, putting all the blame on these other 3rd party couriers, as if they are totally innocent. So as long as thats the case, they appear to be getting away with the countless OSHA violations and other such reports. Plus they do just have straight up f you money to throw their weight around to stall and game the system, always walking as fine of a line as they can get away with. Unfortunately its just incredibly hard trying to hold such companies at this absurd of a scale accountable.
Story 1: Is the reason I absolutely despise Bezos. Why make all that money and have zero care for the working conditions of employees? Not maintaining vehicles can cause an accident which can unalive people...surely! Regular maintenance should be done, it shouldn't have to wait until a huge issue occurs like this.
Its not his fault, not directly anyway atleast not going off of the information we have. Bezos leaves the management of the individual sites to the managers of those sites. If the complaints dont make it to the higher-ups, then they dont know about it. You can criticize him for not knowing about it, which would be valid. I can safely say he didnt know about it (or atleast how bad it was) because no company would take a lawsuit risk that big. No mattet how good of a lawyer you have, trying to say something is street legal when its not wont ever work. There is also the scale of the company. Its all across north America at this point, there aint no way in hell he can know whats going on in each site at any given time
As of July 5, 2021, Jeff Bezos has not been the CEO of Amazon. He's a figurehead now. Basicaly retired. So, while he started that crap, it's not his fault it's still happening. It's Andy Jassy's fault.
Story 3: how petty XD getting classmates suspended for being a high schooler 😂😂 it's like throwing a fit because the sun's up and you want to sleep. .. Sorry... It's part of life...

Boat Cabin Story: The girls kept shut because they knew it was nuclear - They had no idea if OP would drag them down with her or not. And since Sarah already took all the blame and was the one to physically do it, it is FAR easier to have her go down by herself
As I currently work for Amazon myself delivery is it's own company not Amazon per say but they are not wrong either on how dispatch and maintenance goes
I actually like spamazon instead of whatever he called it... I kind of rolls off the tongue a little bit better.. on top of the bullshit that he had to deal with. Wow.
By Japanese labor law, the highest paid members of the company cannot make more than 20 times the lowest paid employees of the company. It used to be that way in the USA, not a law but a business practice. Now that practice is to make 300 times or so more than their poorest paid employees.
The one with the Mercedes dealer was not because of his skin color. Mercedes dealers are known for having sales people who look for the people with nice shoes and well fitting clothes. Although people who work the trades are often looked down on by car sales man
I don’t know which country this is in. In the uk you can get in trouble for not having the lights indicators etc broken doors are not allowed also. You must also be provided with a sanitary location.
With the brief mention of Georgia summers I can only assume it's in the United States. As a former Amazon driver we are given a total of an hour break. In most of the areas I was in, there are no public restrooms anywhere within the allotted break time, so the drivers would usually end up having to go in between deliveries. It's unsanitary as all get-out but we physically couldn't get to one quickly enough. When it comes to the lights and indicators and broken doors, I'm not too sure how the laws are in the state of Georgia, but that van sounded like an absolute nightmare to drive anyways, let alone with the delivery company. Ours were mostly well taken care of and only rarely had issues with the tires or the wipers, because we also had a bunch of inspectors making sure the vehicles were road-worthy.
You do in the US too... if you get caught. See, that's the problem with laws. They only work if they can be enforced for everyone all of the time. Most laws can't be, so most people will commit crimes they know that statistically they can get away with. They just budget for the 3-4 fines a year they'll be caught with.
