How about explaining the styles (elements?) of drill? Power, flow, etc

I actually have a Spotify playlist that I had been working on since the beginning of the season that sometimes I just go outside and spin to, and it really makes practice fun as well as helps with creativity and making sequences.
Question: How should I go about learning moves with good form and technique when my JROTC unit does not teach technique or form...?

The best advice we can give is to film everything. Every single repetition. Then, watch yourself and work to fix one thing you see wrong. If you’re struggling to see things wrong, it probably means you need to study more footage. It’s never been easier to search out examples of absolute excellence in drill. Study as much of that as you can so you can calibrate yourself towards seeing what good should look like. As you film yourself and review after each repetition, keep working towards that gold standard you’ve started to develop mentally. It’s kind of like surrounding yourself with great drillers except this way, you’re doing it 100% virtually.

@@DrillDynamics Thanks for the advice...! I was very rushed making my routine since my SAI told everyone "If you're practicing Solo and Dual stuff before I say you can, I won't let you do one," and we only got the green light a week from competition day. I went about asking those on my team if certain moves or segments looked good, but since they were used to seeing very cookie-cutter, last-second routines, they said everything was the coolest thing they had seen. After watching the footage of my 5th-place routine, I cringed so badly at it--some of it was good, but not most. I am not making the mistake of waiting that long to film again...
