the unit that the drill team belongs to is an infantry unit. Same unit that does tomb of the unkown guard duty. It's a ceremonial unit based in washington DC. they pull their soldiers from infantry units across the army.

I noticed in the Marine drill they removed and sheathed the bayonets during their toss hand off drills. Both teams keep them attached when the rifles are flying past their teammates faces in non hand off drills.
Who says they're all grunts???? Assume nothing! You don't have to be a grunt (Infantryman) to maintain a high level of discipline!! A personally know a lot of POGS that have just as much, if not more, self discipline as any grunt I've seen!

I seen the JROTC students did most things in what these soldiers did back when I was in fifth grade and after that performance I joined JROTC a year ago like in 9th grade but I didn't take the armed drill team I took the marksmen but this year I took the armed drill team and I think on March 13 2021 I have to perform at a game as those color guard rifle men (u know like those 2 men that do those color guard rifle procedures) Edit: it was canceled and joined marksmen again

I’m an old grunt who carried a 60 for a while, and reloading kinda was like that :-) but with a half gallon of oil thrown in for sloppy measure. :-)
