Eric should have stopped before drawing that last card, and that would have done it and won him the Plymouth Colt. But on the bright side, Sherman was driving away in a Lincoln Town Car (with a perfect game, similar to Stephanie 1and a half years earlier during premiere week in September 1991) and Dorothy and her significant other were driving away in a pair of Dodge Shadows.
Bob always loved to tell contestants "I'm sorry". No wonder Bullseye and Side by Side actually automate that message on occasion, and it's no wonder Phil Collins tried to figure out how many times he said it in a song.
I miss the bigger audience. Price is right now has 50 people in the audience. It was more exciting with the bigger studio audience. I still watch but that changed the dynamic of the show.
Best showwhere contestant's are happy for each other winning . And Bob Barker is the greatest?"animal lover" in a fantastic show promoting añimal safty through them being spayed and neutered.
As did I, he was within the winning range but on the wrong end. Talk about premature celebration when the contestant thinks he or she won only to find out that it was a loss.
@@graigmellon7874 Not long after that, the Card Game started offering five digit priced cars only, with an $8000 opening bid, and the range cards being $500, $1000, $1500, and $2000

46:18 -- I guess he forgot about the "without going over" part. OTOH, in the Showcase you often see the first bid reveal to be way under the ARP (a difference of $10+ or something) and the contestant reacts like they've lost for sure...but forget that the second contestant can go over (and often do).
SO MANY DAMN ADS. The original 1993 ads are okay. The RUclips added advertisements are insane and make the video nearly unwatchable. Stop the greed - if you want me to keep watching your channel.
SPOILER on one of the contestant row bid, but the absolute best thing about this is when Larry wins the child bed. I bet he was THRILLED xD
CAR
I even love the music within the show! They're all still in my memory ❤
RIP Tommy Lasorda, passed away early this year he was in the Slim Fast commercial in the first episode here.
Poor Eric! Talk about having your heart broken not once, but twice in one show! Two painful overbids!

Dude was off in both by a TOTAL of $407. He had to be thinking when his Showcase Showdown price was announced “Oh God not again.”
Oh no!
It seems to me that around 1988-1993 the games played for luxury cars would either be One Away, 3 Strikes (+), and Golden Road.
The classic showcase Showdown music in the 1st episode lol
Bob always loved to tell contestants "I'm sorry". No wonder Bullseye and Side by Side actually automate that message on occasion, and it's no wonder Phil Collins tried to figure out how many times he said it in a song.
Goddamn you.
You make no sense.
What are you talking about 😮

Well you got the aftermath of Covid-19 to thank for that...
@@JohnSmith-zw8vp yeah but that was a long time ago
@@alangray9117 Well they now have a full audience again in the new studio but a smaller capacity compared to the one in Studio 33 for Season 52.
Yeah the 90s we're garbage!!

This was twice in a row in a week someone won a car in the showcase.
I'm sorry too Bob Barker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

46:18 Homer Simpson: "D-OHH!!!"
Eric done went over by 117 bucks! One of the most epic failures in Card Game history.
He thought he won it but celebrated too early
Man, I thought he won that car in the Card Game!

two painful overbids in the card game went over by $117 & went over by $290
Rod Roddy: what shirt am I wearing?
From Season XXI (21, 1992-1993)
Poor Eric. Bob did all that buildup just to tell him he was over.
Tells you that build up doesn’t always guarantee a win it seems.
Second half of 3/25/93 and the full 3/26/1993 episodes here
Woah, thanks for the info! I guess I'll plug it in the info.
I hope you have more episodes.
I don't unfortunately. This was the only Price is Right stuff that was on the tapes I have.
@@thriftstoretapes5399 Well that's ok thank you for writing me back and keep up the good work.
I swear the switch game you ALWAYS need to do the switch to get the win...
Dian..... Trinidad loves u sis 😘

Damn! It was just not Eric's day. Over on both his car game and his showcase.

Is it just me? I really don't like the big wheel.
Why am i getting recommendations from the garbage era of the 1990s, man the 90s were garbage, and a bs time to live in!!!
