This was very good. However, I noticed something very vital. Ideally, you want to remove unpredictability as a whole in a fight. When you take him down to the floor, you have one hand on his head and the knife hand stabbing him. There is nothing monitoring HIS knife. If you unclip your thumb from your knife grip so that you can clasp his knife wrist, you remove his knife articulation. I find it very important to not overlook so you don’t get stabbed.
silat is still more effective, but it is always humbling to learn using it to preserve life, when you are attacked unarmed this should be the priority. but as much as we value life, we have to be realistic about the nature and violence of evil.
it was used by Leo Gaje as a means of showing the hilt of the weapon in demonstrations. this does, as you probably assumed, compromise grip. so don’t hold it with pointer out or else you’re more likely to have the blade slip and cut your palm.
I just want to protect myself. I'm Christian, i believe in God, Jesus and Mary the mother of God. I will not kill someone, no matter how evil he, she or they are. I will protect my family and myself, without killing someone.
You can kill in self defense if it's a life or death situation, but tbh you're better off getting good with some strong pepper spray than doing this weird knife dueling. Knife vs knife dueling is so rare and almost never happens except when both parties are having an agreed upon fight or engaged in criminal activity. Self defense situations involving pepper spray happen pretty often and it's something that can be learned in minutes vs taking years to become a knife duelist for a one in a billion chance of ever using it. Besides, real self defense is all those snap decisions you make to avoid, escape or win the fight and get home, not being the grandmaster of some specialized kind of fighting. Knife fighting might be cool and fun in a controlled environment but if you have time to get that thing out you should probably be running, and if you're being attacked with a knife by surprise you won't have time to pull your own.
Moses killed people, Abraham killed people, God commanded Israel to wipe out whole cities (1 Sam 15). Elijah the prophet killed people, Samson was born to kill people, and the list goes on and on. It’s clear that when the Bible says don’t murder/ kill it means don’t shed innocent blood. Heck Peter even smites two people to death for lying about how money they gave to the church.
Tuhon Pagan always flows beautifully, thank you for sharing and inspiring us all

Why do you not have your thumb as part of your grip and why do you have your index finger on the edge?

But like, knife thrust are quick and repetitive and usually with the rear hand
What is the counter if the opponent does the high line attack
Hubud or knife tapping techniques or knife block straight to the forearm, checked by the other hand, hubud to counter
Great job.
My brain: low block
A white belt move practiced until it's a black belt move

The Bible says you can kill out of self-defense, if your life and families life is in danger and you have no other options.

Your attacker decides how much force is necessary to neutralize the threat.
Mary is not the mother of God. God is Alpha and Omega, he has no beginning or end.
