Something that I would love to see covered is the ballistic shield, especially on the bot front. No better panic button than putting it on your back and running :3
Ballistic shield has been super useful in my experience. Nothing feels as powerful as tanking through a hail of bullets while popping bot heads with a one-handed weapon.
It's like EATs, but you can carry the whole payload at once. The only thing I could ask for is a little shorter cooldown. Or a Ship Module for cushier shoulder slings so Helldivers can carry two EATs at once. Or both. Both is good.
it's cooldown is already insanly low, as long as your loadout is buitl the handl chaff and mediums the only reaso nyou need your commando is for anti tank and hard point objectives. then you will never not have commando available.

My go to comfy build for super helldive bots. commando supply pack anti-tank emplacement rocket sentry thermite grenades senator scorcher light armor siege ready. pro tip - just mow everything down before it shoots you and you dont need explosive resist or heavy armor or a shield pack.

I don't think I've ever been kicked for something like that. But i guess it's hard to really tell unless they say something in chat. My normal bot loadout is the constitution, verdict and thermites. followed by no red strats. Normally just railgun, supply pack, mg turret, and the new mounted cannon thing I'm currently forgetting the came of. Maybe I've just been really lucky in pubs but it seems to be a positive experience most of the time
Honestly the commando is my go to if my grp already has armor pen and explosive options. It would be cool if it had 2 reg missiles loaded and 2 napalm. Or a mechanic to choose between conventional HE, Napalm, and EMP. Maximum versatility
Commando is more fitting on the run, any other rocket launcher will keep you sitting to reload it and sacrifice the backpack space for a pretty jumppack. The only issue is you’ll need to aim more carefully as a Hulk shrugging off the missile could spell doom if you aren’t careful
I love the Autocannon and the WASP, but I'm always looking for new ways to improve. Shriekers are never a problem for me because I run the StA-52, and it's great at mowing down ground and air hordes, so I have no use for the Recoilless Rifle. However, I need something more anti-tank, something easily replaceable like the Expendable Anti-Tank. I have run only into a couple of players who used the Commando, and every time it felt like a beast. After this video, I think it's time to give it a shot.
Nah, its subjective, of course. but I prefer recoiless with backpack. Yeah, it's not expendable, eats a back slot and requires reloading. But at the same time, it packs the highest punch of all rocket launchers, ensuring one shots for all armored most of the time, and is better at controlling the troop ships. Also don't know why, but despite a ton of possible problems on the battlefield, I really enjoy wasp and spear launchers. Just the love for high tech, I guess :)
A lot of unappreciated weapons in helldivers 2. Sad part of it is even with the current loadout variety, the thing people like most about a lot of the guns is nothing to do with the buffs they actually got. People think it was part of the buff, but it was already there to begin with and nobody just gave it a chance until Arrowhead made the number bigger. The buffs are great, it makes killing everything easier. But if you ever used the Airburst, scythe or concussive liberator seriously, then you probably know what I'm referring to when I say the stats aren't everything.
I've found that the commando is worse at hitting smaller, moving weakpoints (harvester joints, bile titan heads) at longer ranges than the RR or EAT. The slow projectile speed and laser aiming mean small twitches can throw off the missile massively the farther it gets from you. The lack of bullet drop is great for hitting the cannon and mini turrets at range though since there's no chance of hitting the pillar.
1 point to mention is the call down cool down vs EATs it 140 to call down 2x 2 EATs vs 120 sec cool down for commando which has 4 rockets, just wish it went back to being able to one shot fabricators
flame sentry, would be very cool as a video. wait. actually, how about a breakdown of all the sentries? not a lot of those on youtube, especially after the buffs. I use em all the time and they are much better.
Love this stratagem, but i never pick it because of its cooldown, when i need it badly it's still there, on cooldown. I'd say they should reduce it down to the same as the EAT-17

The commando should get incendiary rockets as a programmable switch (or maybe if customization comes around) to be more like the M202 Flash which it's based off of.
Oh no you can one shot it, you just need the side armor exposed before hand. Either have a teammate pop its side open then fire your rocket at the heart of the machine to kill it in sorta 1 shot? Not sure how he did it.
The commando is for nerds, I like my democracy as cold as steel and as destructive as a 500kg bomb. Recoils rifle is the best rocket and out right best stratagem in our load outs.

You can whip the rocket into the warp ship doors on the ground if you’re not looking at the door head on.
i never go a misisons wihtout it, commando+ guard dog+precision strike is my answer to everything ,4th slot is whatever ineed for that mission

Except the commando does half the damage. So you can only kill 2 chargers or bile titans. Same as the EAT

Against the impalers, focus on one leg and it will fall really easily without waiting for it to deploy it's tentacles.

Nah, it's a EAT with guided missiles and the ability to carry the whole payload at once, it should very much NOT be the same cooldown.
