The wasp is the ultimate medium killer with the *capability* of killing heavies and people should realize that It fills a perfect niche that wasn’t covered before and I ADORE it
Yeah grenade with a supply pack is my go to to clear everything but the heavy bois. While I let other things like the auto cannon and rocket turrets to handle the rest. But this one is a nice contender for this build. Hell, maybe even add in a third for that extra stratagem spot.
GL is great group clearer but it doesn't have heavy unit damage outside of shooting their weakspots, compare it to the WASP, wasp can somewhat kill heavy if the rocket doesn't fly randomly and hit random body parts but that is fine really. i say the wasp is like the Autocannon if it a SPEAR and also fun. it not to replace anything as it stand alone on its own and i like that. we need more support weapons like this. mixed of fun, well rounded and not a replacement
@jacobfoxfires9647 believe it or not, you can kill a Hulk from the front with a Grenade Launcher if you keep hitting its legs, the explosion will hit its weakspot at the back
What is cool here, is it is a weapon designed for medium enemies, however, if timed and used correctly, it can support and take out smaller enemies (artillery mode). In addition to this, it can, although at the cost of time reloading and ammo, it can also kill heavies.
So apparently the burst mode (single launches) has heavy armor pen and locks onto anything beyond the smallest chaff enemies, focusing on medium type enemies mostly. The Artillery mode has only light pen, but is great vs groups of smaller ones.
100%! Just sub’d & turned on notifications. Only suggestion I’d have is to make video titles less clickbait-y format wise and more informative. I had trouble trying to pull up the video of this weapon against the illuminates for example cuz it didn’t have the weapon name in the title.
@@palasta there’s just one problem there’s so many more grenades that can just give way more utility than impact grenades, and when it comes to jar dominator, there’s better options, so this gives you the power to choose better options without limiting you at all
@@carlosvicenty-9856 What better options? I guess it depends how effective you are. 1-3 shots for striders and devs. The purifier is good too. Not as snappy though.
Honestly love the content its nice and concise no extra bloated descriptions no saying it will absolutely kill everything. It was an honest review of the weapon during testing.
I love this stratagem, the sound galvanizes me every time but against bot fabricators in artillery mode at some distance (medium/long) feels very inconsistent. Amazing weapon btw, that's for sure.
The power this has against overseers and watchers is UNREAL. Take a laser and thermites to deal with harvesters and it’s probably my favorite illuminate tertiary
Using this I realize I prefer things stratagems that can efficiently take things out with consistency without any sort of dice roll of the rockets themselves deciding which direction they want to approach or kill targets. Aside from squids, I'm definitely bringing the Carl Gustav (RR) because I'm guaranteed a 1 shot with precision.
Good job testing this, we only really got to see how it works on illuminates so far. Have seen how nuts airburst is on voteless, here's hoping the missiles are even more effective than vs overseers with the weaker soldier units to come, like outcasts. It seems like the artillery airbust has lower penetration than the full awarm of missiles. You sort of have a reasonable option in it for most enemy types, besides matriarchs like titan and factory striders.
Itd be cool to see how this perfectly rms against shriekers. Vs. bot gunships, it's 2 missiles to the main fuselage or 1 missile to any thruster for a kill That makes it one of the best anti-gunship stratagems for the bot front
W.A.S.P is amazing to take down aerial targets and long range artillery fire, however, against large groups the Grenade launcher is still my go to crowd control.
It's a cool alternative for when you're bored, but no min-maxer is ever going to touch this. It's not anywhere near good enough to be worthy of taking up two equipment slots. Weapons that need an ammo backpack to function have to be WAY more universal these days after all the power creep, not to mention it doesn't have anywhere near the ammo economy necessary for 7 and higher.
In my experience it was 2 bursting bile titans pretty consistently, such a fun weapon! Definitely my favorite stratgem now that I know it does all that other stuff
In my extensive gameplay. If it's medium, it will die in one rocket. If it's heavy, burst with 2 mags usually takes it down if every rocket hits. This includes the Illuminate walkers.
From what I've seen it seems like a more damage, less ammo analogue to the autocannon, very versatile, but more so against mediums and heavies, rather than lights, mediums, and *sometimes* heavies with the AC.
It 2 taps gunships as well. It's a fun weapon. I didn't love the performance against Illuminates since it's pretty weak against Harvesters(leaving few options to do deal with them effectively), but I tried it on bots last night and it was a blast.
Wonder how well it works with the mortar? I'm thinking precision orbital, a barrage, the wasp and mortar for a one man artillery crew. Grab the increase throw range passive for the extra yeet. Might make a good build.
it not perfect for heavies but it great for mediums...i say it quite a nice well-rounder like Autocannon with less ammo but i find that is justified. pair it with 1 sentry of your choice and u should able to cover the ground / air and groups
Burst is heavy AP, and artillery is not. Burst is ironically better vs tanks and artillery is made to kill grouped enemies (it explodes 2m above the target and spreads)
So my question is why use this over the auto cannon or amr? Seems like it does the same job just not quite as good since you can’t really aim at specific body parts or smaller enemies
The rocket is a guarantee kill on all dev types and smacks down striders, this could be good for controller players who struggle with aiming the amr. Amr does do the same but it takes precision, making hard in some situations where you are under high stress. This is the fire and forget of the medium pen killers. Ease of use Item tbh.
This is much better than the AMR for Illuminate “defend missile silo” defense missions. You can hold off wave after wave of Jetpack Overseers and Tripods effortlessly.
I'd like to file a complaint for this video not showing it against gunships good fun and informative video tho! great job! you get 5 req slips for that
The Wasp is a good weapon, but the anti-material rifle is still much more effective. The Wasp needs to empty 1-2 magazines on an automaton dreadnought, while the sniper rifle only needs two shots to the eye. Likewise, the sniper rifle can destroy the entire roster of automatons except for tanks and the walking factory.
Honestly, I have to disagree because the spirit has no ammo and it can’t deal with factory striders at all and because of the low ammo terrible at getting rid of the other tanks because there is just too many of them but the wasp doesn’t have that problem he can deal with everything you need it to. It’s basically just auto canon but you don’t need to use your brain and aim overall, the wasp is just a better spear in my opinion because the spear basically has no use case because everything it can do the recoilless rifle can do better and everything the walls can do the spear can such as taking down, devastator‘s efficiently destroying objectives efficiently taking down tanks without wasting ammo, you get my point
Carl Gustav (RR) over any anti tank launcher. Spear only has 3 shells and thats a massive nope from me. Plus, the vertical arc it must travel first before locking onto a target is also another minus for me should in certain situations a tank or hulk drop on top of you. it'll also lock onto the automaton factories from super far. usually takes 2 mags
Wasp is basically the airburst rocket launcher in bug missions, if it could not kill impalers. It's a very good iq test.
