The main anchor of ABC's "World News Tonight" (from 1983 until 2005) Peter Jennings (0:55) and the main anchor of ABC's "Nightline" (from 1980 until 2005) Ted Koppel (1:30) made a cameo appearance at the promo of WJLA-TV.

In April 1994, KARD switched to Fox, with WHBQ switching to the same network in late 1995. WAKC lost its affiliation with ABC in late 1996 due to Paxson not renewing its affiliation contract.
