Camry for me. Honda has the turbo on a CVT and I don't how reliable it's gonna be. What makes sense is the Mazda with turbo and no CVT. Camry's engine has been tested all these years and it's been very reliable and staying on the same engine adding more hp is a smart thing to do.
I own a black on black 2015 Camry XSE V6 which I've enjoyed very much for the past couple years of driving it. I sat in a 2018 Camry the other day at the LA Auto Show & I like the improvements Toyota made. The car feels a little lower, the seats feel more comfortable, the center console is higher & the controls have an easier reach, but still no cooled seats is very disappointing (A lot of competitors offer them now & is a feature I really want for my next car). Also, still no memory seats which is weird cause all of the competitors offer them. I'm really glad though that they finally replaced the cheap beeping chime from the 2012-17 Camry's with their newer "FAR BETTER" dinger chime (Something else I want for my next car). The one I sat in had the new red leather which is very striking for a family sedan & what I would go for 100%.

Motor trend- "In fact, this hotted-up Camry handles just like the four-cylinder Camry XLE, with just a bit more cornering speed, thanks to stickier tires. With the V-6 engine also available on XLE models, as far as we can tell the XSE is primarily a body kit and tires, not a true sport model-the lack of corner-entry downshifts are a disappointing omission. That said, we were able to hustle the Camry V-6 around a track faster than most people are going to do in the real world. The skidpad tells the tale. The Camry XSE V-6 pulls only one-tenth of a g harder than the XLE four-cylinder and three-tenths of a g weaker than the Accord 2.0T Touring on average. The XSE V-6 uses its extra power to make up time on the figure eight, but the 2.0T Touring is right behind it pulling slightly higher average g."
Toyota4Life lmao here's Car And Driver for you then "After the car’s record 31 previous appearances on our 10Best Cars list, you might think that an all-new Honda Accord sedan was a shoo-in for 2018. Not true. Even after we proclaimed one version of this Accord-the 2.0-liter/manual-transmission Sport model-“America’s Best Sedan” on the cover of our November issue, we began the evaluations for 2018 10Best Cars cognizant that there are no categories. It’s possible to be the best in any class without making this list (you’ll search the roster in vain for a full-size sedan or an entry-level subcompact, for instance). So we were open to the idea that America’s best sedan still might be, say, only the 12th-best among all cars offered below our $80,000 price cap. Or that some variants, perhaps the base 1.5-liter engine with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), wouldn’t cut it. Then we drove the cars: “Have you been out in the Accord yet? Oh my God! It’s soooooo good,” one of our more effusive editors said at our 10Best base camp. “Even the 1.5 with the CVT!” Even while many among us can muster no more enthusiasm for a family sedan than can be expressed with a quiet nod, he wasn’t wrong.
Justamazon 33 dude. You still only citing the quotes you want to site ! There are reviews called the Camry fun to drive already and your ignoring those and bring up the ones you want! Lmfaoo
Toyota4Life dude shut your mouth before I call your parents and tell them you're playing around in the comment section on RUclips again! Like I said your comments are laughable.
I think the reason why Yuri feels like he's in a two door is that the Camry has a dropped window sill line which makes the car feel less confining, maybe? It's one of my favourite design features of this car and really sets it apart - it's rebelling against the rising beltline
😎😎What's great about toyota and this camry is when you go for the top trims they still give you the option to choose engine sizes as opposed to forcing an engine on a particular trim as in the accord. Naturally aspirated all the way
Accords, manual or no manual, just feel more connected to the road, more alive in my opinion. Toyotas are nice but kind of like driving a bankvault down the road.
Don't agree at all about the XSE looking better. As I said in my review, I think it is just the opposite. To each his own of course, but I think the XSE grill looks cheesy.
i think the new camry front end remind me of a whale, the XSE has to many fake plastic vents at the back (to each is there own personally hate fake vents) the body lines dont look good imo. For its class i think the Accord wins for me except the tail lights but over all i think the accord and the new mazda 6 is better.
I own the XLE and have had it for a month and a half. I did briefly drive an XSE and I'd be hard pressed to say they drive any differently. I haven't seen it mentioned, either , in any reviews.
The XSE seats hold you in better too. The XSE can overtake the XLE on cornering with the sport-tuned suspension and steering and larger tyers and rims 18's vs 19's and 1 inch wider on the XSE too.
Generally I'm not a fan of Toyota. I did like the heads up mapping help. And the wireless phone charger tray. Both nice and cool additions. I don't know if I can get past my bias. I just consider Toyota a boring car maker. This did make me reconsider my opinion a bit though.
Toyota Camry will last last far longer. Toyota #1 in reliability & durability FACT. 2018 CONSUMER REPORTS AND CAR COMPLAINTS.COM. HONDA IS DOWN TO 8TH IN RELIABILITY HONDA HAS TURBO WHICH CUTS ENGINE LONGEVITY BY 50%. HONDA HAS CVT WHICH CUTS LONGEVITY OF TRANSMISSION BY 50-75% and is far more costly to replace. CAMRY SLIGHTLY MORE EXPENSIVE TO BUY BUT IS DESTROYING ACCORD IN SALES IN 2018. AND NO ITS NOT BECAUSE OF FLEET SALES.
@@tlf361 LONGEVITY & Reliability All Camry Trims > All Honda vehicles. No turbo or cvt will last half as long as normally aspirated engine and regular automatic transmission Period. TOYOTA #1 IN WORLD FOR RELIABILITY. HONDA IS DOWN TO #9 PER 2018 CONSUMER REPORTS. VALUE OF TOYOTA MOTOR CORP 214 BILLION> HONDA ONLY 60 BILLION.
+Richard Dobson Calm down fanboy. Not everyone looks at reliability as their only metric. Nor does market cap mean a certain model is better than another; with that logic, a 2008 Tesla roadster is better than 90% of the cars out there. For example, I happen to lease/switch cars frequently, so reliability isn't as big of a factor for me. I'm more concerned with practicality, fuel efficiency, and driving dynamics. And yes, I do prefer the Camry in this case, but that doesn't mean it's objectively better, just because it's more 'reliable'.
@@tlf361 For someone who leases I get that. I Don't lease. I don't finance. I am 57 years old and had 4 cars in my life.. 2 of those 4 are on my driveway right now and are driven daily. I keep all my cars at least 20 years. I have put over 350,000 miles on all my cars but 1 which is almost brand new. Reliability is the most important factor to me....I don't like wasting my money on cars until I have to.
I appreciate the fact Toyota kept V6 in sedan lineup...i do. The new gen camry looks better then ever but God, all those electronic nannys in today cars drive me crazy. It's close to impossible to get a car that does not have all the silly cameras, sensors and other nonsense. Still love the work you guys do, watching you is like hanging out with best buds who love cars just as much as you do. Thanks for great content.
XLE V6 has navigation in Canada, but the XSE V6 for god know what reason does NOT. Which is BS cause the US XSE V6 & XLE V6 both have built-in navigation. That and the fact Android auto is not endorsed by Toyota means despite the V6 making 40hp more, the Accord 2.0T Sport gets my vote. If the 2019 XSE V6 gets navigation, then I'm going with the XSE V6. Make no doubt this is by far the first ever Camry I would ever see myself actually wanting to drive.
Read my review here detailing my intense disappointment with the Entune 3.0 and " Scout GPS Link", They don't sync well and as I said, I've had NO navigation, or Entune 3.0 for that matter, for 2 weeks now. Not having integrated Navigation, like I had in my 2015 Camry XLE, is a nightmare. This Navigation system where you have to sync both Apps is just disgusting. I can't believe any car company would put the CRAP in their vehicle ! As you probably know, the test drive vehicle is this review has onboard Navigation. You can see the "Map" button on dash. Mine doesn't have that and I'm just disgusted !
The 2018 XLE V6 Camry has navigation here. Yes I already heard that Scout GPS is utter bull-crap, which is the biggest reason why I'm not considering the XSE V6 despite it being a great car overall. Toyota Canada screwed up heavily on the options list here by not being able to get embedded navigation even as an option.
There are many 2018 Camry's being delivered to dealers here in U.S. with on board Nav. As you know, you only have to look for the "Map" button next to display. Mine doesn't have this of course and dealership, Heiser Toyota in Milwaukee, explained nothing about it. Had I known how shoddy this Entune 3.0/Scout GPS app based Navigation was, I would NOT have purchased the vehicle. If you check around there are a lot of people outraged by this situation. I would say that the Scout GPS app may not be the real culprit here. If you do NOT physically connect your phone, which you have to do, the Scout GPS Link will work in vehicle as far as directions go and other things through BLUETOOTH. It does NOT give you live maps, however, like a normal (on board)Navigation system. That's what I want and it won't work. It seems it won't sync with Entune 3.0 and it's probably more the fault of entune 3.0. In any case, having a system like this is a nightmare and totally inexcusable for a major car manufacturer. I can't believe Toyota thought this(Navigation) would work on an app based system. It sure as hell doesn't work in these 2018 Camry's.
My significant others mom bought a Camry and I was hoping to get it in a few years. We drove it around for a week and really liked it. Then after a year she traded it in for a Tacoma
Having a manual transmission on a mid size sedan just doesn’t make sense. While the driver may enjoy shifting away your passengers will hate the back and forth jerking. These cars are considered to be FAMILY cars.
I talked to a few guys at Toyota recently and they all told me that the Camry, Sienna, Corolla, and the Tacoma will be getting Apple CarPlay soon but not Android auto quite yet.
Yuri you are hilarious.....taxi cab...so true. Im on PEI our cabs are so crappy...chevy ventures, buick centuries,...friggen Plymouth Acclaim...really an Acclaim..god!! but when I was on TO...holy orange camrys Halifax too. So reliable right?

I love the Toyota Camry Especially the fully loaded XSE. I don't even use Andriod Auto or Apple Car Play, I never will. I don't even care for the new Accords and Maximas. Right now it's either Camry or Mazda 6.
I'd wait for the 2018 Mazda 6. The Mazda is not getting its fair share in the market though it deserves much higher sales especially in the U.S. and Canada. Elsewhere, for example in Australia, Mazda is doing much better than Honda. Between the Accord, Camry, Sonata, Optima, Altima, Malibu, Fusion, Legacy, and Passat, it's the Accord that is the most appealing for me.
Nabil Matar Accord gives you the best of both words. Good reliability and an engaging driving experience. Whereas Toyota gives you excellent top notch reliability, but it's more conservative to drive. The reason why the Mazda 6 doesn't sell to well is because they ride a lot firmer than the competition. People in the class aren't necessarily looking for a sporty car. Also, since I live in Canada, a lot of the mazdas rust out. I've even seen 3 year old Mazda 3s start to rust under the trunk and around the wheel wells...not that impressive
Kamal Kristipati Bullshit, bababoi. They put 12 years garantie against rust. This misbelive, that Mazda cars has more rust is old, boi. Wake up, it's 2018!
Camry > Accord. Toyota has put much more effort, engineering and design into the camry compared to what Honda did with the Accord. 1) The Accord design is a carry over from the Civic and it also uses the Civic engine. Where the camry design is all new and is like no other Toyota on sale and engines are both all new as well. So toyota engineers and designers have put more time and effort with new design and new engines. Point goes to camry. 2) I also agree with the guy that called the Camry interior a cockpit. Toyota is know for cockpit interiors think about the supra for example. Toyota is thinking about the driver with this design. The camry interior is also more eye catching to look at and offers more design compared to the dull accord interior 3) The models of camry range so much from 301hp XSE to the best in class Hybrid camry model. Toyota has finally made a camry that caters to all types of people. XLE for luxury minded. XSE for the enthusiast. Hybrid model for the Eco friendly. They even have a sport Hybrid model that was never available before. All models are great Handing with the XSE taking it further 4) The 4cly engine in the camry is the most powerful 4 banger in the class. No turbo boosted needed to achieve that. Toyota is clearly pushing what can be done with NA power plants. 5) Design hands down goes to the camry. I like the XLE trim a simple clean design even in sliver you can see the hips and the curves in the design. The XSE Camry... no contest its the best looking car in its class... dont even get me started on the red interior, double moon roof none of which the accord offers. Bonus thought. What I will say i like about the accord is you can get a manual even tho its not gonna sale.. a XSE V6 with a manual tranny would be drool worthy
Trying to choose between an accord and Camry. On one hand, I want the accord’s ventilated seats but I also want the Camry’s sound system. Tough choices ahead.

Lmfaoo
Justamazon 33 dude the LC500 looks better then every Honda and Acura product lol.
Who knows!
You guys should make a podcast about Yuri taking about cars
Crepreblow Awesome wait for the jeep episode It's just story time
😎😎What's great about toyota and this camry is when you go for the top trims they still give you the option to choose engine sizes as opposed to forcing an engine on a particular trim as in the accord. Naturally aspirated all the way
I would get the Accord 2.0 manual. Toyotas are boring but getting better.
Accords, manual or no manual, just feel more connected to the road, more alive in my opinion. Toyotas are nice but kind of like driving a bankvault down the road.
This RUclips channel is ... so good
+Maxwell Powers thanks!
The XLE is hideos but the XSE is one of the best looking new cars for me and that 360 camera thing, ooo boy, might have to cop one if im not broke!!!
its not hideous. I saw one in person and its good looking. the XSE is the best looks sedan in its class
Well to me it’s hideous
Don't agree at all about the XSE looking better. As I said in my review, I think it is just the opposite. To each his own of course, but I think the XSE grill looks cheesy.
i think the new camry front end remind me of a whale, the XSE has to many fake plastic vents at the back (to each is there own personally hate fake vents) the body lines dont look good imo. For its class i think the Accord wins for me except the tail lights but over all i think the accord and the new mazda 6 is better.
That 30 seconds bonus at the end. Perfect!
Awesome review! Besides the looks, does the XSE actually drive differently than the XLE?
+wasabi9111 it's supposed to
It does! I’ve driven both and own a 2018 XSE with the sport turned suspension and steering
Different tires and suspension, same engine but with paddle shifters.
He loves the rewind.
This car will still be on the road clogging driveways 20 years from now.
Generally I'm not a fan of Toyota. I did like the heads up mapping help. And the wireless phone charger tray. Both nice and cool additions. I don't know if I can get past my bias. I just consider Toyota a boring car maker. This did make me reconsider my opinion a bit though.
As motortrend said. “Simply put, Toyota built a better Camry, but Honda built a better car”
CAMRY SLIGHTLY MORE EXPENSIVE TO BUY BUT IS DESTROYING ACCORD IN SALES
IN 2018. AND NO ITS NOT BECAUSE OF FLEET SALES.
Camry XSE > Accord V6 > other Camry trims
Roberto Miranda you shouldn’t be jerking when you shift
you can shift veeeery smoothly in a manual. ome to Europre, my nana will teach you :P
I can shift smoother then the smoothest automatic. ....especially a honda 6speed.
@@siamean1 yeah, if you drive the same car everyday, you can do it better than auto gearbox
I talked to a few guys at Toyota recently and they all told me that the Camry, Sienna, Corolla, and the Tacoma will be getting Apple CarPlay soon but not Android auto quite yet.
People need to stop asking for a manual on a sedan.
Also... I UNDERSTAND.
The king of mid-size car!
Please do the XSE V6 vs Accord 2.0 sport or touring
Great Review. I appreciate a positive Camry review. Accord may have its positives but so does the Camry.
+canonlybeme4life yes they absolutely both do
Yuri you are hilarious.....taxi cab...so true. Im on PEI our cabs are so crappy...chevy ventures, buick centuries,...friggen Plymouth Acclaim...really an Acclaim..god!! but when I was on TO...holy orange camrys Halifax too. So reliable right?

Yuri boikaa😂 lol
It's a great review
Good job and keep going 💙💙
you guys are so Canadian, it's great
Im waiting for 2019 Toyota Avalon
You guys love the XSE, I wish you could also do a review of that to compare them side-by-side.
+Goodspeed tweet toyota Canada
Please head to head camry v6 vs accord 2.0T

Toyota4Life why ? Bcz i love pizza wtf are you asking for
Marwan Tarabay lmao@ "because I love pizza" www.motortrend.com/cars/honda/accord/2018/2018-toyota-camry-xse-v6-vs-2018-honda-accord-touring-20t-comparison-review/amp/
cause we wanna see toyota v6 301 hp gets its ass handed by a 252 i4 turbo LOL
Unknown Entity hahahaha true man bcz i did the same thing with my audi a5 2.0T
Love your guys review!
Toyota finally built a pano roof 10 years after everyone else
but the new accord still doesnt have one ! LOL
I love the Toyota Camry Especially the fully loaded XSE. I don't even use Andriod Auto or Apple Car Play, I never will. I don't even care for the new Accords and Maximas. Right now it's either Camry or Mazda 6.
You guys have to do this over. - The best Camry VS the best Accord - Both cars on the show at the same time.
Is the Camry TRD or Avalon TRD in any future plans for review?
When my 09 VW Rabbit kicks the bucket. The Camry V6 will be next for me
How's it running?
Such a fun show ha.
+Philip Powell thanks!
We recently just got this on our market. Lookin good
I'd wait for the 2018 Mazda 6.
I dont think people who want a camry or accord cares about a Mazda honestly
Nabil Matar Accord gives you the best of both words. Good reliability and an engaging driving experience. Whereas Toyota gives you excellent top notch reliability, but it's more conservative to drive. The reason why the Mazda 6 doesn't sell to well is because they ride a lot firmer than the competition. People in the class aren't necessarily looking for a sporty car. Also, since I live in Canada, a lot of the mazdas rust out. I've even seen 3 year old Mazda 3s start to rust under the trunk and around the wheel wells...not that impressive
Brian Lawrance mazdas don't rust out... you talking 20 yrs ago
Kamal Kristipati Bullshit, bababoi. They put 12 years garantie against rust. This misbelive, that Mazda cars has more rust is old, boi. Wake up, it's 2018!
Great video as always
The camry interior is also more eye catching to look at and offers more design compared to the dull accord interior
3) The models of camry range so much from 301hp XSE to the best in class Hybrid camry model. Toyota has finally made a camry that caters to all types of people. XLE for luxury minded. XSE for the enthusiast. Hybrid model for the Eco friendly. They even have a sport Hybrid model that was never available before. All models are great Handing with the XSE taking it further
4) The 4cly engine in the camry is the most powerful 4 banger in the class.
Accord 18 looks more fancy and fun cvt, turbo overall all in one package
But these Camry’s have a nice jbl system where Honda premium sound system sounds like crap
Trying to choose between an accord and Camry. On one hand, I want the accord’s ventilated seats but I also want the Camry’s sound system. Tough choices ahead.
we need that XSE review asap!!!!!
Why is it so... future...-ish?...
+KiwiWRX that's a good thing
