OMG... You put the clutch plates in wrong.... The small notch on the guide tabs are supposed to be alligned and will create a oil channel for the oil to escape.
@@777Ruffdriver hi thanks i will just copy the old clutch ill measure with vernier but as i have bought suzuki why would it use two thickness also i think if i have to measure the whole stack do i include the hub also ha nowts never straight forward cheers tho pal
I would say take the old clutch out in the order, it was put in and copy, and reinstall, the new one as the old one came out. Just make sure that the new clutch plates are left overnight in the same grade oil you use for your bike. and measure with the Vernon caliper the end plate because they very, go to the library, you may be able to pick up the manual for the k5 k6 Suzuki 1000cc. This install was done a few years ago and I had no trouble with the clutch after the install. I’ve since sold the bike to a motorcycle dealer and purchased a Hayabusa. Thank you for watching the video. I hope this helps.
@@lriper4702 so thank you for watching my video , I hope it has been a help to you it was sometime ago ,since I’ve done this clutch. I sold the bike 4 year ago and traded it into motorcycle dealership, and purchased my second Hayabusa Gen 2 from them ,the one use advertise my channel.
@@777Ruffdriver your video is the only one on RUclips specifically for th k5 and it is great for someone who is not a mechanic. Yes, it was very very useful!
I would say no but if you strip your clutch out see if they match and if they do they fit that's all I can say mate, i'm not professional mechanic just a novice? But personally I buy a new set of plates for a GSXR 1000.
Once you have tightened adjuster in the clutch housing and backed it off make sure you lock off the bolts behind the adjuster so it is set, and adjust the cable under your tank take some of the slack then look at your clutch lever roughly how do you had it before
It was quite a few years ago since I’ve done this clutch, if you google The GSX-R ENTHUSIASTS FORUM And type in model, you will get the stack height I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

Thanks for help Bro! Nice job but never use clutch. lever from e-bay. This can destroy your new clutch.
At 26:00 you mention the three dots. But at the original Suzuki service manual, nothing is mentioned. Which manual are you using?
Suzuki, GSX, 1000 k5/k6 Haynes manual uk.
@@777Ruffdriver ok, thank you mate! The original suzuki manual is not very analytical on this subject…
