I purchased this folding model table for the local senior center about two years ago. We play Mahjong every Tuesday afternoon (4-5 hours). We've experienced no mechanical problems with the table to date. I remove the tiles from the table, fold it, and roll it into a corner after each game.
I don't play majong, but I'm so getting one of these tables. Friends of mine do........BIG FLAG. How often do you have to replace the motors? If the girls burn these things out once a month or sooner then I have to know what I'm in for. = )
Thank you for your questions. If you use a surge protector on the machine, I would say the motors can last over 10 years. you can purchase one at Walmart for $39.00 or less. If you drop a chip into the machine and you turn it off immediately there will be no damage to the motors. Just remove the chip and continue to play. We have 10 year old machines still working without any service. Also remember after 10 years the technology will be outdated. Charles
That's what I needed to know. next question......and remember that I'm not a player, are you able to play the Japanese version of the game with the ritchi sticks? Prolly slaughtered the pronunciation there. I just hear the girls shouting that a lot. Also do these come in wood? Not to big a fan of the plastic. Thanks. = )
Buying an automatic mahjong table is like buying an appliance. You purchase an appliance by selecting a reputable brand that stands for quality and is backed up with a great warranty. A great warranty can only be given when quality parts have been used and a manufacture follows strict quality controls and protocols to ensure the product will outlast the warranty. A manufacture must decide if their goal is to build a reputable brand or build a sub-standard product using inferior parts which can yield large profits. Consumers who are willing to invest $1000.00 or more in an automatic mahjong table, should consider what is best for them, whether buying a quality product that will last for many years or buying an inexpensively made product that was designed to gain the greatest profit, with little consideration given to the lifespan of the product. Consumers should also consider if technical support in English will be available from the manufacture should it ever be needed. Is it worth buying a cheaper unsafe unheard of foreign brand when investing $1000.00 or more dollars? Why risk it?
We manufacture our own brand. Each part has been picked for superb quality and long life span. Every part has been tested for quality. Each machine undergoes through our strict quality assurance program. Please see our blog for additional information. We are the only company that gives a 1 year replacement warranty. See terms and conditions on our web page.
I just watched this whole video and I don't even have any interest in playing mahjong or having one of these tables. But, alas, I learned something new I suppose.
every now and then you encounter a video that solves a ton of problems that I never had, nor ever will have.
This wasn’t 22 things to look for it was just a 5 minute ad

Thank you for the comment. This is a well made table.
I got a mahjong table in an auction. It's pretty beat up. Is there a market for these tables for those who wish to repair or use for parts?
My table is not pushing up one set of tiles how can i contact you for service?
