@@thechosenone2740check into the Kalief Browder case, only accused of stealing someone’s backpack (which he didn’t), spent 2 1/2 years in jail waiting for trial. His family couldn’t afford his bail, but when they finally got the bail, the judge raised it. He could have taken a plea deal, but because he was innocent, he didn’t want to. He was beaten by guards & inmates, also raped, then spent the majority of that 2 1/2 years in confinement. Oddly his case was then dropped, but he was never the same again, he ended up commuting suicide.

He is not even old enough to purchase cannabis legally let alone drive a vehicle. I thought you need a permit to drive a vehicle as a teen until the age of 18? Why are his parents not being held accountable? This person has mental health issues and should have never be allowed to drive.
There's something wrong with this story. 1st he is 17 and had a bail amount set at $50,000 and they mentioned how now he bonded out EASILY and is a possibility of flight risk. 2nd he cannot legally drive without a parent or guardian in the vehicle most likely only had a driver's permit and took the care out anyways. 3rd he cannot legally purchase cannabis without a recommendation card @ the age of 18. These are all red flags of a entitled criminal in the making. Needs to have his phone confiscated to confirm why he was out that night and where he was heading. Parents need to serve years in jail with the son because six innocent lives are now 6ft under. Smh no accountability or consequences of remorse. Only reason he will feel bad is because his buddy now has brain damage permanently. 6 people lost their lives and only 2 hurt that night over a snobby KID. Smh.

Seriously surprised this isn't more common, the entire world seems to think it's fine to drive under the influence of marijuana. It's unreal the amount of ppl who are out in public coming and going from stores and restaurants smelling of pot on their clothes and in the vehicles, even with young children with them. This is in WI Im talking and it's out of control!

You raise an interesting point. There’s also the issue of the victims were not Caucasian and seem foreign born. Maybe the judge didn’t place as much value on their lives? The kid who murdered them is probably wealthy because if he were poor or working class Caucasian then they would have hit him with more charges and a heftier bail.

Honestly, I don't think he needed drugs to be a negligent driver.
Even if he is in a state that legalized marijuana he is under age so he was illegally intoxicated when he killed 6 people he should be in juvie.
When you look at those eyes, the door to the soul, you can see nothing but an empty shell. Regardless if fair justice is done or not in this case, on a spiritual level, he will spend the rest of his earthly life suffering the consequences of his wrecklessness. I hope he manages to realize a lot of things while he pays his dues for his actions. Don't ate him but rather pity him for the universe is ruled by equilibrium of our actions whether good or bad. Prayers for sustenance and peace after such an event to all those affected. 🙏😓🙏

@@diegofondoo1780 I agreed that it's technically impossible to overdose on marijuana but overdoing it can make people lose their minds and in some cases can result in a heart attack. I'm all for weed being legal and I agree that it's safer than alcohol but you can't say that it's completely 100% safe, no intoxicating substance is 100% safe. Whether it's alcohol or marijuana or tobacco they all come with some health risks.

Pot usually does not make user aggressive but the opposite. If driving while smoking THC can affect directly response time slowed which would be related to this situation. Also regular users of THC will have accumulated marijuana long term in body. It stays in your system. Unfortunately, there is no way to regulate this when state laws changed to allow use.

Sadly, jail does not provide the medical care he needs to stay alive. Plus, they don't have the man power to take care of him and watch other prisoners. But trust and believe with his injuries and mental state, he is already in a prison of pain mentally, emotionally, and physically.

The poor family that he killed so many members of have been through the unthinkable.
He obviously can’t change the decisions he made that day, or bring back the 6 people he killed.
But he does have an opportunity at this point to do the right thing.
He can admit guilt, give a sincere apology, and accept his punishment for his poor decisions.
He doesn’t have to put this poor family through more than they have already been through.
Unfortunately I don’t think that he or his family have enough character and strength to do that….I would love it if I was proven wrong ❤
