Yes, we can live a great life in Panama just off of our TAX SAVINGS!!! This was one of our primary reasons for moving to Panama, and in this video I'll give you the bare basics as to how it works. I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT YOU MUST PROPERLY STRUCTURE YOUR BUSINESS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE TAX SAVINGS!!! You can't just have a business that is set up in the United States- it's a lot more complicated than that. Wow!!! 😮 The ability to earn up to 120k without having to pay income tax is huge
    This is a game changer for self-employed professionals and business owners who live abroad. Panama 🇵🇦 is a good place to avoid the filing process and the income reporting. 😊

      You still have to file and report! But if you structure everything properly, you don't have to pay!

    If you are self employed you still have to pay 15% self employment tax to the US. Also passive income (rentals, investments, interest), do not qualify for FEIC.
    I presume you have your companies set up as corporations and that is why 100% tax is saved?

    Ah, but do you still have to pay FICA: 15% if self-employed, 7.5% if wages/salary?

    Looked that up in the IRS website and it says that you also need to remain in Panama for 330 days to qualify for the exclusion.

    • @IGoPanama
      @IGoPanama  6 месяцев назад +1

      That is one of the two ways I was talking about. The other way is permanent residency (that's what we do) and it doesn't have that requirement. However, you shouldn't be spending lots of time in the US even if you have permanent residency or it could raise red flags.

    • @IGoPanama
      @IGoPanama  6 месяцев назад +2

      @@user-pt-67066G If you are a permanent resident, that 330 day rule does not apply. I discuss that in the video. Please understand that the 330 day rule is for people living outside of the US who are NOT permanent residents of another country.

      What is the maximum number of days that you can vist in the US if you are permanent resident of Panama to meet this tax exclusion requirement

    • @skranz7790
      @skranz7790 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@rob9307The rule is 183 total days in the most recent 3 years, including the current year and the 2 years prior. This is if you are officially a permanent residence visa holder of another country. But, I wouldn't push the envelope. Best not to plan on spending any more than 7 weeks inside US borders (including US Territories in addition to States) in any given year. Then you're good. Which ever way you want to divide that 7 weeks up during each year.
      However, if you aren't an official resident of another country, then the 330 day rule applies. But, again you don't want to push the envelope. So, in this case, I wouldn't plan on spending any more than 30 days inside US borders in any given year.

    I'm applying under Panama's friendly Nation Visa can I give you a 2-year temporary residency can I still qualify for the foreign tax exclusion even though I haven't got my permanent residency yet
