I think ive turned into a PRT watching-a-holic😆. My husband and i have been researching Panama for years and cannot wait to take a tour w/this company. Jackie Lang, u r awesome!!
So, if one has medical insurance in USA and need medical care in another country, just pay upfront and get reimbursed on the back end. Why would not medicare provide that? Who carries cash on hand when traveling? Do they take plastic as in debit card?
It does not work that way! Medicare and many other US insurances will not cover any medical care in a foreign country. If you have the right Medicare Advantage plan, it covers urgent care or emergencies in Panama and other foreign countries
It depends where you are from. What is happening in Canada & the Uk is waiting times are so long, often waiting months, this is a private hospital. If one went to a public hospital, it would be less expensive, but the wait time would be longer.
The ER wait in Los Angeles, Ca is hours especially for his illness. Not considered a rush therefore wait forever to be seen. The $500 would not covered ER charges let alone seeing a specialist, draining the fluid from his knee and the cortisone shot. I'm sure l missed some other medical attention provided. They are in the city of Panama and at a private hospital. In another location within Panama, more inland, l'm sure it would have cost less. The good thing is they have insurance back in the states so they'll be reimburse.
Not even close! The majority of expats move to Panama City. Panama City is more affordable than most areas in Boquete or Bocas. Panama City has many more amenities than anywhere else in Panama.
Apparently, no matter where you go superb medical care in Panama👏👏👏😊

I thought it was out in santa fe past coronado :( Too many private hospitals in the city need more outside of the city gridlock
There are two private hospitals in David.
@@PanamaRelocationTours With nothing in between panama and david
@@Grimgrak1 there are many very good public hospitals between Panama City and David. San Carlos, Penonome, AguaDulce, Chitre, Las Tablas, Santiago,
@@PanamaRelocationTours 0 private keep that in mind when your choosing where to live.
Was the cost for the man that was injured on the tour thier out of pocket before before they filed with their insurance?
I guess by American standards, $520.00 sounds cheap but that seems a bit expensive for a couple of hours at a hospital/clinic.
