And that is why I love Rebellion the most, I have it almost everytime equipped unless I know I need specific weapons for the combo machines to get those blue orb fragments. Although Nevan is still the most fun weapon to use

I know the others are really flashy and cool aswell and certain weapons do more damage against certain enemies, but when Im not doing an optimized playthrough or specifically limit myself to certain weapons, I just use what I like.
Another thing i like in dmc, is how most of characters combo A and lock + forward melee, always launch the enemy away for me its a way the game tells not to mash buttons. Great video!!
The only things missing from dmc5 Dante gameplay is the crazy combo activations, which is one of the best part of 3's gameplay, and also the free ride on enemies, I want that move back please.
Everything you're asking for is available in Nero (to some extent). I would've loved enemies skateboarding for Dante, but let's not act like Dante in 5 is nothing. 5 is a different game. A different beast.

Although one thing I'm confused at us that in the mission 1 cutscene, Nero grapples an enemy and hops on it, then rides on its back to hit others, and you can't do that in game. But then again Devil May Cry has a history of cutscene pulled moves that can't be done in-game. I swear the skateboard scene in dmc3 is only one I can legitimately think of the counter-example.

I'm gonna 3 because enemies attack non-stop and the DT boost makes them very stagger resistant, and although I like combo playing with a horde, I wish to do it for every encounter. Also f*ck the Chess Board and Arkham, they are just too extreme. Keep in mind I'm playing these games casually, I am NOT gonna do that vanilla challenge run that you did, that will cause me insanity and a broken controller.

As someone who completed dmd on dmc3, Rebellion is always my first weapon and i never removed it.. Also i liked to use stinger to clash with the Vergil 3 's stinger at the end of his combos.

Yeah and that is just 1 "move" obviously you can do Million Stab immediately aswell from Stinger which turns it to one of Dante's best gap closer moves.
Not a fan of 3's mash inputs, and I definitely much prefer how you can get Million Stab out in 4 and 5 by holding Stinger, or just doing Combo B without extensive mashing required, but Combo B in 3 with its two different enders, and the massive hitbox million stab has is pretty cool. Been a while, but I don't think stunning a whole crowd like that is exactly possible in 4 and 5, whereas in 3 it's one of the most satisfying things to do
I'm not a fan of the mashing too, but how i remedied that is by turning off Turbo Mode. It's just insane for me to press buttons that fast ALL the time while playing. Button mashing instead of holding is prevalent for nearly every attack in DMC3, not just the million stab. All my homies hate turbo mode (for DMC3).
@@ExtremeGameplays1 Fair tbh. After my first playthrough I always went with turbo because it just feels better, but the crazy combos are honestly a good argument against its use. Mashing out the crazy combo on Agni&Rudra on turbo feels borderline impossible. And same goes for just using rainstorm. Thank god they turned that into a hold from 4 onwards (although I really don't like rainstorm in reboot and 5). Having to almost break your controller for Dante to keep it up for more than 4 shots feels beyond unsatisfying
I always wondered how to do this on the HD collection cause i always do the normal knock back attack but I’ve never pulled off the timing right to cut to million stab so it’s a bit tricky but I’ll try this next time!
You attack, pause, MASH attack. You start mashing instantly after the pause. You don't go: Attack, pause, attack, and THEN MASH. Attack (swing comes out), pause a little... MASH (cyclonic attack comes out, followed by the million stab itself). You gotta buffer it like that.

I don't think it is very good in all situations, it may be if you're doing a challenge run. There's more options such as: Shotgun RG/JC DTF Fireworks etc. There's just so many other options that is just better at what Combo B does. Not to mention that Rebellion does the least damage out of all weapons (19.5) on DMD. It's kind of a good move, but other moves just overshadows it. Though i still like that there's still players out there finding out stuff on their own.
What about if we're talking vanilla? This move is great to use then. I also show clips of later missions getting the Combo B treatment. Nothing controls a crowd of DT'd enemies better than Combo B.
@@ExtremeGameplays1 In vanilla there's still better ways. If you check any TOTW run you can see shotgun jc an enemy into a corner and using ultimate tempest as a quick crowd killer. Also, in any normal/vanilla run (Assuming "vanilla is just playing the game), you'd want to keep enemies alive as long as you need in the rooms that's fun, so CC isn't necessary as you're spending most of your time in the air. And just to nitpick, roundtrip might serve as a better CC option, given you know how to angle the enemies correctly. It deals rapid damage while giving you the ability to use yamato moves. But then again, you and i have different ways to play the game. You aim for efficiency, i aim for style, so how we view things are different from each other.

Displacement determines when the enemy can be knocked back/launched. When it reaches 0 by attacks that inflicts knockback/launch, the enemy gets knocked back/launched. The displacement value also resets every time the enemy was knocked back/launched. Stun determines when a DT enemy gets stunned, so when it reaches 0, the enemy gets stunned. If the counter reaches 0 in the air and you break it using a launcher, they get launched, therefore called a stunlaunch. Because you're launching them using stun, it doesn't reset their displacement value, so you can launch them again in the same sequence using another launch move. We call it "double launch", but this part is just over explaining.
so funny just how OP jump and jump back is, the i-frames just trumps the trickster style. trickster really is the drake sword's of dmc 3, it may be tempting but always use sword master and jump and jump back on your first play through.
I've just started playing the dmc series and I'm on the 3rd one and I've been struggling to pull off the million stab. i follow the instructions as told in the game and this video and it never works. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

I don't know if you know about this but you can cancel animations from the royal guard style allowing you to make some sweet stuff with it I will give a link to a guy that shows how to do it and let me say it goes crazy but if you do know about it sorry for being the "did you know guy" but that doesn't help my case does it since I just did it
sadly now that the pc version got delisted means drm player base only has hd collection as the official version which is very bad cause of it's input lag , in turbo mode it messes up the crazy combo's required input but overall mechanics are also effected. common crapcom moments right here, they had no reason to do this, at least release it on gog so gog can bundle in the player's fixes with the actual game....damnit all
If you want the normal knockback, You go: Attack, pause a little, attack, attack. If you want the million stab, you go: Attack, pause a little, MASH attack button to infinity.
@@faaze7412 Turn off turbo mode. If turbo mode is on, you need to MASH LIKE CRAZY. That's why i have turbo mode off. The game being faster is fun and all but the mashing you have to do is insane.

I love how Crazy Combos were done. Like how Million Stab actually used to be anti Stinger spam for DMC3. Wish every other DMC was like that.

I don't know if you know about this but you can cancel animations from the royal guard style allowing you to make some sweet stuff with it I will give a link to a guy that shows how to do it and let me say it goes crazy
but if you do know about it sorry for being the "did you know guy" but that doesn't help my case does it since I just did it

sadly now that the pc version got delisted means drm player base only has hd collection as the official version which is very bad cause of it's input lag , in turbo mode it messes up the crazy combo's required input but overall mechanics are also effected. common crapcom moments right here, they had no reason to do this, at least release it on gog so gog can bundle in the player's fixes with the actual game....damnit all

@@faaze7412 Turn off turbo mode. If turbo mode is on, you need to MASH LIKE CRAZY.
That's why i have turbo mode off. The game being faster is fun and all but the mashing you have to do is insane.
