    I don't know if you'll ever read this comment bro but this is the best Dante guide on RUclips hands down.
    I've never really played any dmc game before dmc5. I always saw people do crazy combos so i decided to play it coz I'm into fighting games. At first Nero was suuuper hard for me to play but i watched some guides and practiced in the void so i got to understand how he works. I was hype for Dante until i actually played him and saw that he has multiple melee and ranged weapons together with 4 stances. I was ready to quit. When i was watching this video you would constantly mix your high level combos and a simpler version to help us understand the concept. Not to mention the constant encouragement 😂. Dante is now my favorite character to play right now.
    Thank you very much brother

    Good stuff man! I can more or less do most of the tech shown, just struggling with triple weapon switching and using trickster dash in the air rather than Air Trick. And I still mess up the rose timing somehow lol.
    That simple combo towards the end looked doable but also really cool! I think you're a really good player, and your style reminds me a lot of SmvR with all the jump cancels.

    • @ExtremeGameplays1
      @ExtremeGameplays1  2 года назад +1

      Ayee man i'm glad this video is still helping people out! I hope you turn into dongurii in the matter of a week!
      Triple weapon swapping depends on your loadout weapons replacement. When you get it all down. You kinda memorize what comes after the weapon that you're holding.
      ALSO REMEMBER. You can swap enemies mid animations of the first weapon. So for example if you do a revolver with the cerberus. THE MOMENT the cerberus animation starts. That's when you swap your weapon. So that you can jump cancel with ease and start your next attack.
      Also let me make the trickster dash easier for you. If you want to dash towords the enemy. All you do is lock on + style button
      No need to use the left analog stick. Dante automatically starts facing the enemy and dashes towords him.

    • @christheplayer99
      @christheplayer99 2 года назад +2

      @@ExtremeGameplays1 yup, learned that from watching your video :)
      I usually swap weapon in between animations either way (especially from Cavaliere R and KC). I don't usually use Trickster dash because for some reason my hand always tries to do an Air or Ground trick lol.
      It may depend on my Weapon loadout as well. Usually I use DSD, Balrog, KC and Cavaliere R because this order clicks with my style, while for the guns I go E&I, Coyote, Kalina Ann and Faust.
      I actually posted some combos on the DMC Subreddit, and even though they were not the best I still think I improved. Especially because now I try to implement the Sword Formation more rather than just using Roundtrips :)

    I am still a noob, but my advice is to memorize each one of Dante’s moves. If not all, then the bread and butter ones, like revolver and aerial rave. Makes it easier to do jump cancelling when you know how to do the move instead of scrambling to button mash. I am already better by just remembering that Balrog’s kick aerial is in swordmaster and blow aerial is the normal combo. I just straight up spammed jump and style button before without knowing which mode I was in or what move I was doing.

    I was hitting a wall with my gameplay coming off of SoS mode and into DMD. I started to get annoyed with not keeping my combos consistent or getting lost in my options. This gave me the fire back, now I'm realizing so much of what I was doing wrong, so thanks~
    Also, can we talk about how Dante is actually playing DDR with his stances more than we're actually fighting the enemies? xD I love it

      Also side note: If you folks have any macro buttons on your controllers, or you're using the Power A Xbox One controller specifically... Just set one of the macros to Gun and you can leave your controls alone. I hate changing controls too much if I can help it, and that saved me from changing a thing and it's easy on the hands compared to claw grip

    You're obviously the master here man but after a lot of practicing i feel putting time in Royal guard is the most rewarding element in this game, I'm nowhere near what you can do but i get triple s very often just blocking attacks and using a really basic dsd combo (combo b, i mean the one that the sword goes around him into high time then three hits and down slash into two stingers with style button to cancel the launch) and if i feel comfortable i just add a revolver in the air but the core element is blocking the attacks and doing quick combos to keep the style after you got it.

    Love your guide, really helped me out, and I like how you always tell us “I believe you can do it.” It’s the little things.
    However, the last combo. Do I have to be at SS already when I start it so I can trigger the quad S transform? That would be my biggest problem outside of training mode

    • @ExtremeGameplays1
      @ExtremeGameplays1  Год назад +1

      Much appreciated.
      It's fine to have access to sin DT the easy way (without SSS) JUST to do the combo. It's simply there to help you get used to the combo.
      Otherwise you can only access sin DT this fast by having SSS style (which will be an easy thing when you get used to stuff).

      @@ExtremeGameplays1 you made me love Dante haha. I’m happy with my progress from this video. I feel I end up requiring “muscle memory” to pull off consistently, but then my brain is hard wired to do that combo now, and any deviation my brain panics and fumbles the combo. I guess this just comes with lots of practice? I got about a solid 100 hours in DMCV but willing to put in way more to be stylish.
      Surprisingly I can jump cancel Cav R quite easily. It’s the only thing that’s easy for me haha

    • @ExtremeGameplays1
      @ExtremeGameplays1  Год назад +1

      @@ICE-ing >fumbling
      Keep doing that. You can never step out of your comfort zone until you do. Keep experimenting and watching combo mads by others to get influenced by them. Get inspired by others' play style and then eventually, you'll have YOUR style of play. You'll adore a move no one uses, a juggle no one does, a combo starter few people use, and a finisher a lot would not care for.
      Always experiment and keep on failing until everything eventually clicks.
      >jump cancelling Cav R
      All things with time. Maybe one day you'll start jump cancelling the double kalina ann gunslinger style move RAPIDLY to destroy Cavalier or artemis?
      Hell, try throttling an enemy to the sky using Cav R's special move by constantly jump cancelling it.
      The sky is (literally) the limit.

    Initially came to this video just to see how good of a tutorial it was and how much I agreed with and came out learning how I can implement Dr. Faust with DSD Sword Master forward. I usually use high times and the neutral DSD Sword Master attack, but rarely the stabs, so I came out learning that that was essentially my weakness. That and not using high times in mid air enough. Hope it makes using Dr. Faust more worth it cuz I swear it can be so situational that I just ditched it for faster switching between guns. I suppose in place of the DSD Sword Master stabs I fired the shotgun instead, which kind of functions similarly, but I’ll try Sword Master as well.
