The nornal mode is the hd versions hard mode and the hard mode is the hd versions Very hard mode, they specifically added that in so people could play the og games difficulty if you want (on a new save after unlocking a difficulty once you can choose any difficulty you want) so if you want the game to play like og dmc 3, just start a new save and choose hard, then play very hard and then DMD, DMD wasnt any harder either, it was just normal and hard that were altered, and they are both represented in this version
Most fans know this but DMC 3, and indeed the rest of the series up to this point, were directed by the guy who got saddled with *trying* to salvage DMC2 a few months before launch. This game was basically his redemption arc, and boy was it a good one.
Fun fact: did you know the splash screens at the end of Vergil’s missions actually indicate which rank you’ve gotten? For Dante, it’s whatever style you’re using, but Vergil has a different splash screen for each weapon, and each rank
No I did not know they correlated to the rank or even that the weapon changed, I was stressing too much about the rank themselves 😭. Pretty cool though.
@@RadTuba03 it’s a neat little tidbit. I just know if I finish a stage while holding Yamato, I can relax if Vergil is leaping towards the camera

After getting my plat, my save file was corrupted. (I did most missions on Gold, then went to yellow, which someone affected my gold save)
In conclusion, do yellow first, then gold, or just play yellow and never start a new save of gold.
Oof, that’s rough, I never had any save file issues luckily
literally the only trophy i dont have is the bloody palace one because boi

i actually dropped DMC 3 today because i lost my progress and just couldn't do it again.
I liked the game and a lot of its content, especially the soundtrack sunce it has my favorite song in it (also Nevan because of obvious reasons), but it was just so damn frustrating that i don't want to keep trying.
Time to move unto dmc 4.

jump cancel beowulf + spiral/handguns switch was my go to all the way during dmc3 without a sweat since ps2. in case someone crushes their mind that the game is too hard just learn this technique and it will be a cake walk

In my opinion when i decided to platinum 3 the only issues i had was some secret missions and the last 2 bosses on Very Hard and DMD and Bloody palace

I’m doing a DMC3 platinum at the moment and I’ve hit a massive roadblock with the maxing out Dante’s health achievement. I literally CANNOT find the last blue orb imao. I have 19 bars of health and 3/4 orbs. At this point I’ve reloaded an earlier save just so I can get all the orbs on one difficulty. But besides from that, getting the plat is actually pretty fun. DMD mode is surprisingly easy, it just takes awhile to actually get through it imao
Have you bought all the blue orbs? If so maybe it’s the orb at mission 18 where you have to defeat all the bosses again.
@@RadTuba03 I bought all the blue orbs, did all the secret missions and double checked if I got all blue orbs available in the normal missions, including 18. I still can’t find the last orb. I’ve even done all the combat adjudicators. At this point I’m completely convinced it’s a glitch imao
I guess you could run through all of them again or maybe even do them all as Virgil because I think it will still count for the trophy as Virgil

Did anyone notice the animation of the trophy popping ?
I had to clarify this in my DMC 4 video. Basically, I don’t have a capture card and just use the ps5 built-in recording and screenshot system so I record the gameplay and take screenshots of the trophies, I then overlay those trophy screenshots over the video so the video remains seamless and the flow isn’t interrupted like in my older videos eg: Spider-Man 2 where the video would pause for like half a second every time I showed a trophy. Hope this clears it up 😎

Relatively easy platinum compared to DMC4 and DMC5. It should have had a required S rank all of DMD to be a true challenge.
Yeah I’m doing DMC 4 rn, this is a cakewalk in comparison. Nearing the end of DMC 4 platinum though doing DMD S-ranks and have almost got all of them.
I don't know man, DMC 3 has the strictest requirements of earning a S Rank & some BS Enemies to deal with. I mean i get it that the Platin Trophy is the easiest but i think it could be easily the hardest of the series when there's a trophy of earning all s rank in every difficulty, especially DMD where you must No hit if you want a S on damage.
@BirdWithAKnife345 yeah if it had a DMD S-rank then it would’ve been much harder and tbh I’m glad it didn’t
@RadTuba03 DMC4 is an ultimate grind. While it is not as difficult, it is still difficult because you cannot neglect collecting red orbs and still have to be stylish and on time. Its complicated in a way. DMC3 S ranks are terribly difficult.
@jimjohn6520 Oh yeah for sure, but, mission 13 and 14 DMC 4 S-Ranks in that forest section 💀💀💀. I’m nearly done though and hoping to get that video out next week.
I found dmc3 platinum was not that bad the only trophies I struggled on we're being the game of the hardest difficulty and the one blue orb statue in mission 17 with bewolf.
How does s ranking when it does not matter which difficulty it is is more rare than beating dmd even if its super character☠️

Yeah DMC 4 has been a real pain for the last few weeks. Finally nearing the end though, just finished DMD S-ranks last night and have started LDK S-ranks
I know im late to the video lol. I’m working on dmc3 at the moment and I was wondering if you have any tips?
There was nothing I really did that was special in particular. As you play each difficulty you naturally will get better and you definitely do not need to be god-like to obtain the platinum. There are some strategies that make Vergil a cakewalk on higher difficulties though so I’d definitely take a look at some of those for help if you need it because I sure did 🤣

PSNProfiles on the trophy guides for games. Obviously they are subjective but the difficulties are usually about right 👍

DMC3 plat felt like a casual playthrough after having to deal with DMC2 bloody palace. If that mode was even playtested, then the testers were incompetent or psychopaths for allowing that garbage through.
Yeah in my DMC 2 video, I was lucky because I could use the infinite DT cheat with Trish to breeze through it
Will you do 5 normal edition and special edition?
I only have the PS5 special edition so I’ll do that. I have to do DLCs from normal edition in special’s trophy list. Even if I had both, I’d still only do a video on the special edition because in a sense it’s the definitive version. But I hope that clears up any questions you may have 😁

I hate the jester battles. They are so forced and cobbled together. Only bad thing about special edition
Yeah and they’re all the same each time. They were added with the SE right and the battles were not even in the original?
@@RadTuba03 correct. I guess they felt that adding extra stuff can‘t be bad. While I like the Sentiment, they could have had a jester on/off switch like the gold/yellow thing.
actually, DmC's platinum aint all that bad. the only bad thing is that u need vergil's dlc to fully platinum the game
It’s all included with the definitive edition which is what I’ll be playing. Have heard it’s a fairly fun game just a trash story but I am looking forward to it especially after the pain that is DMC 4
Dmc3 was the easiest for me
DMC 2 is probably the easiest but it is the most boring. DMC 3 had a nice amount of difficulty without being super tedious like DMC 4

DMC 4 was quite boring to go for the plat but still more fun than DMC 2, DMC 4 plat was unnecessarily hard at times 🤣
