  • Do you know what the clearest sign of mental instability is? It’s an obsession with what others are doing. When we are disconnected from within we are divorced from our own sacred purpose and calling in life. This is why when we see others on their path fully immersed in their lives, it rattles us greatly, for it is a mirror of all the ways we are stuck in dysfunctional toxicity. Truly empowered individuals never waste time on what others are doing or saying. They are focused on bigger issues and bigger, more empowered action.
    So ask yourself today: are you obsessed with others in your life? Maybe a celebrity, maybe an ex friend, lover or employer? Or are you truly connecting with your own being and purpose? That’s where your attention needs to be: NOT on anyone out there.

    On the surface this makes sense. But there are exceptions to the rule. I had a partner who used to tell me to ignore what other people are doing and focus on me. I then found out I was being cheated on with multiple people, ironically discussing my partner with a mutual friend helped expose the betrayal - gossiping. My ex was inward looking, I would argue extremely selfish with self focus. Being inward focused is necessary for everyone but I think outer awareness / perspectives (reflecting on people) helps us to figure out if judgements are fair or irrational. Also, self focus is perhaps a reason why so many celebs opt for cosmetic surgery, perhaps looking outside would help them not obsess about what they are not. Really there are different ends of the spectrum and I suspect we just all need balance. Ranting isn’t great and can be triggering anyhow but discussing difficulties in a relationship can help release a burden and sometimes expose lies.

    My ex unfortunatly :( I feel like shit after being in a relationship with her....always felt like I was "the bad guy" always pointing the finger at everyone. Never owned up too her own shit. But , hey like she said "He/she don't think her shit stink!" Lol. The hypocrisy.

    Is this why my ex girlfriend was jealous? She had her own insecurities she hasn't dealt with??? I want to know because she blamed me for almost everything.

    How do I help a child that seems to have internal dysfunction? I don't want to distance myself from him.

    • @ags0022
      @ags0022 Год назад +4

      If it is your child begin by helping yourself. Children learn through modelling. The more inner peace they see from their parent the more peaceful it will become.

      The conscious parent is a good book so is decoding boys ❤ stay strong!! Remember how you felt when you were their age & try to make things fun! Spending time cooking together & playing board games & talking with them about their day 🦋

    • @SM-fx6yo
      @SM-fx6yo Год назад +2

      It depends on the age. If they are old enough to understand it’s a little easier to explain the situation as if it were happening to them. Empathy is difficult to teach but you can teach your child to mimic cognitive empathy through sympathy. Reverse the situation…example if the child is jealous of something their sibling has remind them of something great they have and ask how they would feel if their sibling wanted it for themselves or took it? “Not nice right, doesn’t feel good?” They will make the connection then that what they are doing isn’t nice either and is making their sibling feel the same way. Eventually after enough prompting they will do this thinking on their own. Repetition, consistency and patience is key. I think patience is the hardest because we may struggle with our own anger at their actions and may need to apply this to ourselves before we even introduce it to a child.

    Actually materialism is the highest sign of mental instability.
    Is this video really demonising people who blame others? Isn't that doing the same thing you are accusing them of?
    Aren't we supposed to cultivate a mindset of love and support for anyone going through difficult times? Not blaming them and avoiding them?
