Bought a TX22 Competition around two years ago and it took 800 rounds to break in. I hated it at first. After the break in it was golden, super reliable, and I love it. I use it weekly in up to three different local steel competitions. Gets a lot of attention. I just bought a regular TX22 and thing has been perfect and doesn't seem to need any break in at all. Very happy with the TX22 line.

Prior to purchasing two +9 magazine extensions I had eight 16-round magazines that actually held 16 rounds. All of these magazines worked flawlessly. After installing the magazine extensions one magazine would hold 25 rounds while the other would only hold 24 rounds. During firing these magazines would fail to feed, constantly. I would disassemble, clean, and reassemble to no improvement. No other magazine had issues during this time.
Finally, After only a few trips to the range the spring for the magazine holding 25 rounds failed. It would no longer push the follower to the top of the magazine feeding the last two rounds. Upon disassembly the spring had an extra bend, one that is quite severe.
I have contacted Galloway precision, but they refuse to return the product or refund my money.

For anyone interested the taurus tx22 fits a walther pdp holster IF you shave off the little nub at the front of the trigger guard and tighten the retention on the holster. I didn't know this until after I had both guns and the dimensions are soooo similar I figured I'd give it a try and it fits so perfectly. Now I've got a great iwb and owb option for cheap training.

I had total 4 F2F with CCI MM in one mag, but I think it was because of the mag braking in... maybe. After few mags I ran Winchester, CCI, Armscore and BucketObullet and it ran everything. Im so glad it ran a BucketObulets for obvious reasons !!! Love that its reliable and super fun. If you looking for fun time at the range without braking a bank, look in to TX22.

Hey bud, great video man. That tx22 looks great. I bought one in November 2019 used it in January 2020 put 150 rounds in it until the striker broke ( that’s right striker broke) in two pieces and is rendered inoperable. I contacted them in January and to this day nothing has been sent to me. They managed to void my warranty somehow with out having possession of my gun. I have tried to contact them and been on hold for hours and not been able to get ahold of anyone there to see what’s up. It sucks because I see all these great videos and mine is just a paper weight. What can I do to get it fixed or get through to Taurus?

That's a really bad experience. I bought my TX22 used and the barrel was one of the Miami early production models with chattering in it. I called Taurus and had a new barrel in 3 days, no questions asked. Outstanding customer service for me.

I lost the little spring retention piece out of one of the mags while disassembling it for cleaning. I called CS at Taurus and the sent me another brand new mag no charge. Had in 5 days. A+

My second tx22 cracked in the same spot at almost 2k rounds. My first one is well over 7k without any issues. Taurus replaced the slide and had it back to me within 2 weeks and that was at Christmas time in 2020 when guns were flying off the shelves. The new slide is at 5k without issues. I think where the recoil spring ends is a little rough and gouges the metal making it crack where the metal is already pretty thin.

I don't fully understand why Taurus gets all the hate. I know they went through a period of time where the quality was hit or miss, but as far as I can tell more recently it has gotten a whole lot better. Any company mass producing anything can have lemons or bad runs.
