It's not racist at all! That LAQUEEFA dance a couple years ago was racist 100% w/o a doubt. But the jungle is bc she's African American and Africa is jungles so I think the judges look in that as well as the dancing skills

The same thing that happened to Brooke is happening to Nia. Brooke had a lot of potential and was winning constantly when she was young- she stopped winning when 1) she entered the 12+ divisions and 2) Abby started spending ALL her time on Maddie. After a while Brooke got sick of it and started to lose motivation to improve and do her best- you could see it in the way she danced, you could see it in her face.
The choreography that Chloe, Kalani and Maddie get is always stunning. Nia's solos for seasons 3 and 4 have been weak, and haven't been tailored to her strengths. Although Nia is not the best dancer on the team, she had and still has a lot of potential that Abby is not tapping into.
Nia needs to leave and get the attention she needs. Clearly there is room for 1, 2 stars max in the ALDC, and there is no way Abby will help Nia to be one.

Abby inly gave Chloe good Choreography once in a while, but yeah Abby is trying to Turn Nia/Holly into her new Chloe/Paige cuz Holly stands up for her kid.

1:20 thank you. Abby's sitting talking about "well not everyone is going to be in the group dance, but when you honestly think about it, Nia is the only one that ever gets put out of it. And if Abby feels like Nia is not up to par with the other girls then Abby should take her and work on her strengths and weaknesses, instead of just kicking her out of the dance every time she messes up. Also Nia has been with Abby from the beginning and she is definitely not treated fairly when it comes to the other girls. And I honestly don't care about what anyone feels about what I'm saying here

I agree with this comment 100% and I’ll give you some more to add. Nia could’ve used the constructive criticism in private lessons to improve her flexibility, use her core, and “straighten her knees and point her feet” like Abby said constantly. It would’ve taken Abby or a nitpicky choreographer to point those out and drill it into her, but that’s up to the teacher to convey that constructively to produce results. Abby did that for Maddie but certainly not Nia and that’s not right. Also, if anything, Mackenzie should’ve been pulled out of the group dance, not Nia, because of her height and skill level. She was like a foot shorter than everyone and looked so awkward on stage next to the other girls and was just as if not more behind the count than Nia ever was in the dance in the rehearsals.

She doesn’t respect her because she’s threatened by Holly and Nia as well. They are the only team members who don’t scream, shout or swear and they carry themselves with integrity and dignity. The other mothers aren’t really like that so Abby doesn’t have anything to envy from them but she has a whole lot of things to envy about Holly.
Christi: Every Friday night, Abby hands us like, a roll of toilet paper, a square of tissue and a sequin and says, 'here, MacGyver up a costume so your kid looks fabulous on television'

Christi and holly are the best mothers. By that I don’t mean they are true best people on the show, but they have to best parenting styles,they make sure everything is fair not just “my little Kendall” or “but Maddie” it’s all the kids that were effected, also, they give their kids realistic expectations and have the best motherly instinct, when someone fights, holly doings into action and gets them out of that situation, when someone is crying, Christi is the first to console them or get their mom to comfort them.
Holly will always stand up for her daughter, and i love that

Ok, here's the thing. IS Nia the strongest technical dancer? Obviously not. I think Holly recognizes that as well, because she usually says that Abby views Nia as replaceable. I think for that particular dance, it was because it was under the guise of "we don't have the costume!"...I believe if Abby had explained "I want her to focus on the solo" Holly might've been a bit miffed but not as upset and she was because it all appeared to be a lie. And what else ticked Holly off was sayin that Nia should've been grateful as if she was not, she was but she ALSO wanted to dance with her friends and for Abby to say next time no solo in lieu of the group dance was just to tick Holly off because one thing didn't have to do with the other, I mean honestly why would you take away the childs solos? Have Nia's solo's produced what the others have, obviously not but she has grown STRIDES since she first started technically (because her facials are usually the strongest ) yes, and that confidence in knowing that your dance teacher supports you enough to give you the opportunity to do solos wouldn't hurt. You can't get better if you're not given the chance or the proper choreography because although her last solo was good, I felt it was a bit amateur for her, and I'm not saying she needs a MADDIE solo, clearly the technicalities of lyrical and contemporary are Maddie's strong points but I felt Nia's choreography wasn't aimed to be a #1 solo. The point I've been tryin to make is I think Holly is just upset that Nia isn't taken as seriously by Abby as the other girls. Kendall is a wonderful technical dancer but she dances with few expressions or none, so it's hard to FULLY enjoy her solos but she does get them. Chloe is obviously Abby's least favorite but she is also given the opportunities to solo and duet and trio, Maddie and Mack are obvious favorites, theres hardly ever a week where if they don't have a solo then they're not featured, and Kalani is becoming a new favorite of Abby's, this is leaving Nia as simply a background dancer, a beautiful one but background dancer. And if as Abby herself has said Nia is a hardworker and does practice and Holly stays on her good side then why doesn't she get as much rewards as the others. If Abby is truly tryin to prepare these girls for the real dance world, and she's starting off well with learning new dances every week then having Nia have multiple dances is great for balancing, you want to be just as strong in one as the other not have to say I have to get up one thing to focus on the other, maybe a little more faith and little more of a chance wouldn't hurt. If she still doesn't place then take it away but we still don't know what her down in the river lyrical solo would've placed if she were in a normal judging situation, according to Melissa (Maddie's mom) she would've won, and I'm inclined to believe it since she does know a thing or two about winning soloists! Plus...Abby's attitude here is very flippant about Holly's child, what reaction did she expect?
If I’m honest I agree with Abby here. She pulled nia out of the group number to perfect her solo so that she could have a better chance of winning. In a way Abby was rooting for nia and trying to help her. But I also agree with holly for telling Abby that her child gets less opportunities and is always the first one considered for elimination.

Nia sometimes doesn't place because Abby doesn't spend as much time with Nia perfecting her solos, but when it comes to Maddie or some other dancers, she has all the time in the world to work on their dances.
Nia doesn’t apply corrections and she’s not that fast of a learner compared to Maddie so I do agee she should focus on the group more

As much as that is true because Nia is a POC, Abby only gives her ethnic dances and very racially stereotypical dances when she’s the lead. You don’t just want to be used as some sort of tool because a dance is based around your ethnicity, you want different types of dances that not only embrace your culture but other cultures as well.

However, that's on Holly to ask of Abby and Abby to accept the request. Not trying to start a fight, just stating my opinion. Also, I totally agree with Holly with the "either/or."

Honestly, I for once agree with Abby. Nia isn't the best dancer, I must admit. Her feet are sloppy, her technique is bad, and sometimes her jumps aren't high enough. I understand that those are all hard things to do, but that's what it takes. You can't expect to be in every single group dance if you can't to the things the other girls can do. She needs to work hard and put lots and lots of effort into dancing in order to have more opportunities to dance.
I feel like, here, Abby was being as nice as she possibly could. I love Nia...but she is probably the weakest dancer on the team. I think, even if it was because of a costume mistake, it was smart of Abby to pull Nia out of the group so she could concentrate on her solo (where she got THIRD!) The last time Nia had to juggle a solo and a group dance, she didn't do all that well in the solo.
Also, it's interesting how Christi was mostly quiet during Holly's speech...

Honestly Abby makes sense in this. Nia didn't get to be in the group because she had to do the solo. And Kendall got both because, her solos score better, and Abby wanted Nia to give all her effort into that so she could win. Holly was making some valid points, but once Abby just straight up told the facts, she won the argument.
