This is such a great movie. It will be saddening if it doesn't receive as much recognition it deserves. Jeremy renner owns the Oscar nomination.

God bless the tribe funding their awards campaign. Good on Taylor Sheridan for donating the following profits to the Indigenous Women's Resource Center. Hopefully more people watch this movie and keep talking about this issue. It's sad that Canada has already went through further investigations to count how many missing indigenous women there are and the United States hasn't. I hope internal affairs shines the spotlight on every police department that has slighted these families. God bless all of you and thank you for bringing the subject to my attention. I'm writing my thesis on this matter and I just want to keep the conversation going. Thank you Mr. Sheridan for making a beautiful movie that is respectful and heartbreaking and tells a story that needs to be told.

Amazing movie. Great interview. I know I have a lot of simple sentences, but I really think the interview speaks for itself.

One day while looking at a map in my “Reader’s Digest “ Big book of maps and interesting facts, my eyes were drawn to this little place called,” Wind River” and I wondered what was the significance of this. Then a short time afterwards I learned that there was a movie to be released with the same title. I am a Care Giver who doesn’t have a lot of time for extra curricular affairs , so, the man I take care of invited me to come with him to view this movie. I thought ,” WOW!!!, what are the odds?, The Great Spirit was really communicating with me. This also reminded me of the story of Jacob and Rachel . Jacob had 12 sons with his wife, Leah ( who he was tricked into marrying by her father, Laban, who is also the father of Rachel who he was in Love with and wanted to marry and eventually did after working for their father in exchange for more years of service.) With his wife Rachel he had only two sons, Joseph and Benjamin. One of the wives “ Handmaidens” was given to Jacob and she gave birth to a daughter whose name is “ Dinah”. She was his only daughter and all of his sons watched over her until the day she was raped at a party. I too have had this experience of indignation so, I feel acquainted with everyone’s thoughts and feelings on the matter; however, I agree with the statement that Jeremy made about this sort of thing has been happening to the Indigenous People’s of this Land since “ they first came here”. I strongly believe that what had made this kind of action towards them permissible is located in the Declaration of Independence where mention of the Indigenous Peoples is made which states that “ they “ are worthy of nothing less than DEATH.” I thought that was a VERY Dehumanizing statement to have been made and written in the Declaration of Independence. It’s something that I have been against since I read it. My mother was of German descendants and my dad was of both English and Native Cherokee descendants. I recall that he once told me that he did not want us to live on the Reservation because he wanted his children to have their best opportunity to live and thrive away from it. I feel good about this movie because it sheds Light on the subjects of rape, torture and murder of Innocent people and in this case the Indigenous people on Reservations and women , whether on or off the Reservations. Those vicious acts that were perpetrated against women know no boundaries as is evidenced by Jeremy’s personal experience. I believe that they were/ are VERY “ BRAVE “ to write, produce and act this movie in order to make it known. Regarding this Interview, I Praise God for providing you “ the way out” of the grasp of Harvey Weinstein . Much Love and Light to you all 💗👍👍✨✝️

Taylor Sheridan is an obvious ingenious writer--I urge people to read the screenplay for 'Hell or High Water' which clearly illustrates his incredible talent.

it was a grant from the American Indian Cultural Arts, after they read the script and approved it.
