This made me cry. Jeremy’s recovery has been so inspiring. I am also a titanium warrior - two cervical fusions, my spine rebuilt and fused from my bra line to my tail bone. Both hips - one was in such bad shape leading up to the surgery, the prosthesis didn’t hold. I needed a ‘do over’ two weeks to the day after the first surgery to add a bone graft and eight screws. Screws DO come loose. My second cervical fusion to reinforce everything when a screw came loose was so painful, both surgically and recovery wise, I came very close to ending my life. I can’t imagine running. Walking to the corner makes my back hurt. I was an athlete from age 8 to 22 and always active. I’ve been tossed around pain management wise. The last treatment I had left me in agonizing pain for days without meds. I am still having a problem lifting my right leg without pain. I worked really hard to find some happiness again and did really well for several months. This last setback along with personal financial struggles, has been really hard. Seeing Jeremy on several talk shows promoting Mayor of Kingstown and this spot for Brooks has really helped me get out of my head and get back on that journey to emotional and spiritual healing I was making positive progress on. Physically I was doing better pre pandemic. The second neck surgery in 2019 was a real setback I haven’t quite found a way back from. Work in progress. Thank you Jeremy!!!

Man, Jeremy is a real life superhero. I was already a big fan of his as Hawkeye but he's even more impressive off the screen. Honestly, if he can get through that, makes me feel like I can get through anything. Between this ad and David Harbour's campaign, y'all are marketing geniuses. Bout to get me a new pair of Brooks 😂

This was so inspiring!!! The mental state to push through for him was admirable and inspiring!!
Two years ago I was hit by a car as I was crossing the street, I suffered a fractured skull and bleeding in the brain. My recovery was taking up the time I wanted to be running but that’s what I needed to do to heal. Not run. My mental goal was to recover to be able to run again. I don’t take for granted one moment that I’m running. It is my therapy, my meditation, my me time! It’s truly a gift to do it and I love my Brooks!! My favorite and consistent sneakers. Looking forward to my first marathon this fall in NYC 🗽

I’ve like Jeremy Renner since the first time I saw him in the movie “The Town” with Ben Affleck. He is a great actor and from what I hear about him a great man. Very inspiring short on how the Brooks shoes played a small part on your recovery. The biggest part was his mind&heart that knew he had many things/people to live for. He not only acts as a super hero but he showed his fans and most importantly his child/children that you can overcome any challenges that come in their path just as he has done!

Very inspiring story. I think America will truly be great when ANY person can get all the treatments and medicine necessary to recover from a horrific accident like this without being financially destroyed.
Right now in our country a low wage person can have a broken leg completely derail their life. As the greatest nation in the world we can have the kind of healthcare that other countries properly see as a right. It is only the greed of corporations that keeps this from happening.

Truly a perfect pick to play Hawkeye. He embodies the character in his daily life. He could have given up but instead chose to live and fight for his life. And now look at him up and running when the odds were against him. 😭😭amazing in his acting career and day to day life. Continue being the amazing inspiring person you are Jeremy

Wonderful inspirational story! You had an incredible test of survival it's great you recovered and kept going for your daughter and family! So people like me that never had this kind of accident and never had to go to the hospital need to be very grateful in life for what we have first of all health and resources and so to help others in need!!!!

What a uniquely special commercial, and I am not usually a fan of any commercials.
I destroyed my ankle in 2019 with a dislocated trimalleolar fracture, plus shattered my fibula. It is 2024 and I still have not yet found the courage to start running again. Walking is great, but I used to be a course runner and have been too scared to attempt again. Fear of pain, of re-injury, of setbacks has been winning.
If he can run again after breaking 38 bones (and then some), what am I doing! Time to get back at it.

Fantastic commercial. I had no idea about Jeremy’s story. I already wear Brooks for running, and because of this commercial, I always will. Truly inspiring. It’s crazy that a commercial has such an impact on my day. Thank you Jeremy, thank you Brooks!

I died last August 2023. Weird knowing I died. Strange feeling waking up a month later on life support not being able to move or talk. Took three weeks to be able to communicate by moving my finger to abc's on a piece of paper. I'm still struggling to walk. Having heart surgery again this Tuesday June 4 2024. I had an 11% chance of surviving emergency open heart surgery after I died. Went into cardiac arrest three times during surgery. Doctors said I died twice in the hospital.
Got a broken front tooth from being intubated. My throat is damaged as well. Have like a pocket in the esophagus that chokes me and causes me to aspirate when I eat. I guess I'm on the verge of another heart attack. Got Medicare for insurance but I'm in so much medical debt I'd rather die than go to the ER anymore. I kind of wish I hadn't come back. I'm living in pain just to pay medical bills. My life is over. I know what awaits us after death. I know nothing in this world matters except love kindness and forgiveness. Nothing else.
I got permanent nerve damage I can't feel my upper lip. I can't feel the right side of my head. I can't feel my right foot. Hurts to breathe, chest is numb on the outside but hurts inside. Both arms are hurting so bad I just about can't take it anymore. I live alone and I'm struggling to stay alive.
Struggling to do anything anymore. I don't see replies but I hope no one knows what I know. I've been somewhere no one was supposed to go. I can't forget it. I will tell you when somebody is on life support unconscious be kind around them, don't say mean things. I remember a nurse spitting on me saying I was going to hell. I thought I dreamed that until I awoke and recognized her voice.

A very heartwarming video. More power to you, Jeremy Renner. I'm glad you're making it through, and I'm grateful to Brooks for sending you those sneakers. 🙂
