A real shame that this wasn't even nominated. Hollywood filmed a real movie, real issues, real impact. No phoniness. Instead we're likely to be lectured at the awards about nothing that's on stage. Wind River got so much right. Reservation/Native humor, proper acting, unflinching presentation.
Just saw it and Renner deserves an Oscar nom for sure. He was perfect. Taylor Sheridan is just killing it. Loved Sicario, really loved Hell or High Water, and this was great too. Can't wait to see what he does next!
Its sad that the movie was made with an important message but all the promotion activities are more interested to talk about topics like filming in the snow, how the actors and actresses work together etc.

Know what pisses me off with crap movies like this. Both the FBI agent and the tracker are good looking people. Why couldn't the FBI agent be a 50 year black woman with a weight problem. Had to be an attractive young blonde with model looks. Tracker the same. Why couldn't he be a 68 year old bald man with a beer belly. This movie is crap. Audio is terrible. Hardly understood a word they said. Totally overrated.

Every american movie is like this, why havent you gotten used to it by now? besides, looks should not matter it should be the storytelling, which they nailed. thats not the point of the movie anyway, its to highlight the mistreatment of native american women that goes unnoticed. Otherwise, you will probably die of a massive coronary. What's more, I'm sure the FBI doesn't tolerate many overweight field agents.

I'm still coming back to this movie. One of the best fims l've seen.
It's strange, isn't it... like it's a tragic story and a devasting plot in so many ways, but it's worth watching over and over.
