If there was a world competition on singers. Sonu Nigam would be my choice from India . Technically there is no one who has honed the musical skills as much as him . G.O.A.T.
In current scenario yes. Before that kishore kumar, md rafi were goats. They were even better than him ofc. But still since his music been a huge part of my childhood I grew up with it so he's my favorite.
I completely disagree, there are punjabi sufi singers that are more technical. Sardool Sikander was more technically versed, may his soul Rest In Peace.
Indian rhythm structure is very mature, so sometimes it becomes a little tricky for the people who are not aware of the Indian music, so for your part I just wanted to share that this rhythm cycle is known as 'Roopak Taal' it is a rhythm cycle of 7 beats. Sonu Nigam ❤ Growing up , he was everywhere.. Singing in almost every movie, every genre, most of them chartbusters..As a child, use to call him my favourite singer although I hardly knew much singers and couldn't distinguish their voices but I just loved him whenever there was his appearance in shows on TV or when I would come to know that this particular song was sung by him.. Later on ,as a singer his voice was the first which I started recognising and he is still my favourite.. No. Replacement found yet..
