Just want to say one thing here that whenever they want to give a tribute to a singer in an awards function, they always choose Sonu Nigam. He performs live and he never fails to mesmerize us with his incredible talent.

@@joao_331I am saying most of srk songs are sung by Udit Narayan. He could have sang more songs for other actors afterall he has sung 28000 songs but that won't change the fact he has sung most of srk songs. Especially in 90s he used to sing the whole albums for srk movies.

What do you guys mean by lord of chords?? I see this everywhere..really want to know.. Sonu being the lead singer has no business going anywhere near the chords of a song..that's the music composer/arranger/producer's job.. and no doubt about versatility!!

Sonu Nigam is the most versatile, most talented playback singer ever born in history of Bollywood and I don't think anyone like him will ever born again. And I also think he's too much underrated because he's not given songs he has potential of. And with respect to our great singers if he was a singer of the time of Kishore Kumar, MD Rafi I can guarantee that he would have surpassed them and would have an irreplaceable legacy.

Most of the SRK's songs are sung by Udit Ji , Abhijeet Ji & Sonu Ji ...SRK preferred Sonu over the other two ...
He has more hits and has sung much better songs in kannada. Here in Karnataka we call him "Melody King". We have grown up listening to him. He has perfect voice for cinema which is unmatchable.

Finally.. I just love this sonu nigam's compilation and at the same time feeling unsatisfied as there are still so many songs that I was expecting .. It would have made the list to top 500 or even more..
Many singers have great versatility but sonu is the most versatile of his era..
He is not the voice of srk.. He is the voice of everyone.. My most favourite are his songs on salman and govinda..Not many Govinda songs are included here.. Those are the real crazy ones.. The way he could go from what is your mobile no. to abhi mujh main kahi,akhiyon se goli maare to kabhi khushi khabhi gham..It's crazy.. Also his tees maar khan song with multiple voices..

Not only his variety of songs but the way he can perfectly mimic other singers and add his own nuisances tell how he had mastered the art..

Sonu nigam mostly for every actors but he give his evergreen and Iconic songs to Salman Khan, Govinda and shahrukh Khan Even he sang mostly for these three . He was the voice of salman Khan from 1996 but mainly from 2000 to 2012 . Sonu Nigam voice mostly suits to Salman Khan, hrithik roshan, Akshay kumar, shahruk Khan and Govinda .
After S.p balasubramaniam ,amit kumar and udit narayan sonu nigam voice is best suited on Salman Khan followed by kumar sanu.
Abhijeet and unit nagar an are arguably the voice of Srk .. but sonu is such a great singer he adapts his voice and style for the actors he is singing for . He did many great songs with govinda also and I believe govinda was his favourite actor to sing for due to his facial expressions

I don't think they would be able to enjoy that movie at the moment because at that time mainstream commercial bollywood used to do a lot things that would be hard for Western audiences to digest like intentional overacting in scenes or intense melodrama.

You should watch Veer Zara... it's a whole package.. excellent story, excellent acting and of course excellet songs sung by Sonu, lata and jagjit singh. Its one of the best love stories ever made.

Actually the "kabira" in the song is just a reference to "Kabir das" , who was an Indian mystic poet and a saint in the 15 century, also his poems are still famous. He has lots of couplets and proverbs as well.
