The song where Aamir is playing a father holding a kid, features a child singing as well. This child was Aditya Narayan, Udit's son! He sang in a number of songs as a child. He is obviously grown up now and still sings for Bollywood (notably Tattad Tattad from Ram-Leela) and he is also the host of Indian Idol.
The kid is not Aditya, I believe but the voice is Adityas. The boys name was Master Adil according to IMDB.

5:17 Fun fact, those vocals of that kid is Udit Narayans sons voice singing against his father. Aditya Narayan hasn't quite reached his father's fame, but today is also quite a good singer in his own right.

Another Fun fact about Udit Narayan is that he was so popular in starting of 2000's that.. He sang all the songs of GADAR and LAGAAN movies.. and both the movies released on the same date.. then they both became Blockbuster... Later Udit Narayan nominated for film fare award for the best Male Singer for both the movies in 2002... so he win against Himself for Lagaan (Sun Mitwa)

Yes Wale, same here, whenever SRK cries I cry too. Once someone asked me why is SRK my fav, my answer was simple that whatever he is feeling on screen, i feel that too. He has that ability to quickly draw audience in his performance.
I just realize that I can sing all of his songs by heart except 10 or 20 out of 200. It Shows how popular his songs were. Seriously guys he has most hit songs in Bollywood, I guess. Udit ji's voice is another form of love.

Another girl likes the guy but she works at a brothel so guy doesn't want to be with her, plus he's still in love with the first girl. Eventually all comes to a head when guy has almost killed himself by alcohol. He goes to see first girl one last time before he dies but dies at the doorstep without ever getting to be able to see her and she him. Very tragic.

bro i used to watch bollywood movies just to hear udit narayan songs..but movies are not great .. it is not relatable today.
waleska you're not ready for tum bin, it's an underrated movie but it's absolutely fantastic. Jagjit singh was a tremendous singer, his genre is called ghazal they sing poetry mostly in urdu language, they touch multiple arguments ranging from love to existential question. You should check his songs from when he sang with his wife, in some sort those songs were "lighter". In his later life his song had a touch of melancholy and shifted to more spiritual content

Please watch lagaan. It was nominated for oscars for the best picture , is very popular and has one of the best ar rahman soundtracks. Its pretty long so you can watch it in two parts.

Udit Narayan has been my favourite since I heard him singing Papa Kehte Hain. I was just a kid then and I remember my friends and I thought it was Aamir Khan himself singing. He was Aamir Khan’s singing voice for over a decade.
Uditji has such a unique voice.
Udit and Aamir's voices match very well, that's why I think Aamir's voice suits Udit more than SRK🤗

The Bollywood big 3 from the goldnen era was Kishore Kumar, Mohamad Rafi and Latta ji as you are aware.
During the evergreen era (90s) it was dominated by the new BIG 3 who were Kumar Sanu, Udit and Alka Yagnik.
By mid 2000's they got older and Bollywood music started to head in a different direction which didn't work well with the big 3.
By 2010 the new singers started to shine and take over. singers such as Arjit, Atif ad Neeti Mohan etc etc
Alka Yagnik won the best singer for the song "Tumhi dekho na" from the movie "Kabhi alvida na kehna" in 2007 which was the last we saw of the Big 3.
During her speech she mentioned how it was sad that real musical art has been lost and the melodious sound that mde Bollywood has been lost and replaced.
Udit strongly agreed and he felt pushed away from the industry.
also side note the the big 3 are also old and Kumar Sanu cant perform as well as he did during his peak years etc

I can't believe how Udit Narayan's voice changed so dramatically from being very heavy and honestly not pleasant to hear from 1988-1994(except a few songs) to become a very soft and a boy like voice which is beautiful to hear.He is considered as a 90s legend but the fact is that his 2000-2005 songs are more famous and heard/known by people who don't even watch films and don't know who Udit Narayan is.

In Tum Bin first part you might get heart broken but it's pays off with interest in second half of the movie.

Sometimes I feel these two are sitting there doing their own talking random stuff, while the actual music they are supposed to be reacting to is just there as a backdrop and many a times they don't even listen what's there.
